I woke up and Maddox was gone but there was a note on the pillow beside me. The note says, "Kitten, I left the keys to my Porsche on the kitchen counter. I should be home around four. Love, M."

I look at the clock on my phone 11:00 a.m. I think I should go see my aunt and grandma. I take a shower and dress in jeans and a white tank top and white flip flops. I grab my purse, the car keys and head out the door. I make it to my aunt's and I see grandma's car. I feel weird when I get to the door, should I knock?....No that would be even weirder. I open the door and walk to the kitchen not even bothering to check any other room. I feel the smile on my face as I enter the kitchen. I see grandma actually sitting at the table and aunt Mary at the stove. They are arguing about how long to cook rice.

I walk into the room loudly so I don't scare them. "Hi."

"Look who it is, did you just get back?" Aunt Mary questions as grandma comes and gives me a hug.

"No, last night." I answer.

"Have you talked to Maddox?" Grandma asks.

"Yeah, he actually came and got me yesterday."

"So, you guys are good then?" Mary asks.

"Um, yeah I guess. I'm still upset but I realized if I wanted us to work out I had to quit running. You guys didn't know he was coming to get me?" I ask, confused by the conversation.

"What do you mean sweety? How would we know?" Mary asks just as confused as I was.

"Well, I didn't tell Maddox where I was. I assumed he got you to tell him. Maybe J.J.?"

"No dear, we didn't tell him and J.J. wouldn't have told him. He's still really angry at Maddox for what happened at your party." Grandma answers.

"How did he find me then?" I wonder. Thinking about everyone that knew where I was, it doesn't make sense.

"Did you still want to go get a car?" Mary asks, interrupting my internal debate.

"Are you busy? We can go whenever." I reply, smiling.

"No, now's fine." She states, walking to the stove and turning it off.

"Let's all go." Mary suggests.

**************

The first stop is the bank and they give me a run through of all the investments and interest of my money. My parents company is still running and they gave me a print out of the dividends I've received so far.

After the bank we head to the Mercedes dealership. I choose the 2018 red Mercedes Benz CAL. I give my aunt the keys to Maddox's Porsche and we drop it off on the way back to aunt Mary's. I'm following grandma who's driving aunt Mary in her car. By the time we get back to the house it's 2:00 p.m. and aunt Mary and grandma leave for a book club they belong to. I decide on a nap, I want to stay here tonight and spend time with the family. I'll call Maddox around four and tell him.

I fall asleep easily, when I wake up its to the feeling of kisses down my back where my skin is exposed. I moan and I feel a hand come around me bringing me back against them. It feels good so I just go with it knowing Maddox will do what he wants anyway. I feel his arousal and smile, wiggling my but against him as his hands play with my side's. I hear a groan and I'm shocked it's not Maddox. I sit up quickly turning to see who it is.

"Alex what are you doing here?" I ask, shocked.

"Why are you avoiding my messages?" he asks.

"Alex, I told you I don't feel the same about you. I have avoided your calls because I don't want to have to say it again, I don't want to hurt you." I reply, softly.

"You're staying with him?" I can see he's getting angry.

"I love him. I want to at least try to work it out with him. I think I owe it to him and myself to give it more of an effort."

"After what he did?" he asks, pissed off.

"You were a part of that too, Alex. I need to do this. I won't be able to move on from him if I don't try with him one last time."

"I know. Sorry, love." He says.

"But even if it doesn't work out with Maddox, I don't want you waiting for me. You need to move on and forget about me. You'll always be in my life, I love you but not in that way." I plead with him to listen.

"Why don't you want me? What is it about me?" he asks, hurt.

"For me it's like trying to switch on feelings for you. I just can't do it. I know what being head over heels feels like and I just haven't ever felt that way about you. It's nothing you did or didn't do, it just is. I wish I could, your great and you know it." I shrug, smiling at him. He smiles back.

I'm about to make fun of him for having a big head. When I hear the door open and see Maddox walk in. I see his face become blank and his only tell is his jaw muscles working.

"What the hell is he doing in here? and in your bed?" he asks, calmly.

"We're talking. Maddox can down." I warn.

"Get out of her bed. Now." He says, looking at him with murder in his eyes.

Alex doesn't move. "We're talking, why don't you leave."

"Alex, stop. Don't start this shit again, please." I say, getting irritated. "Maddox stop getting mad for no reason."

"No reason! I come here and you have that shit head in your fucking bed." He yells.

"We told you we were talking! Now stop!" I reply, trying to stay calm.

Maddox walks closer to the bed, so I get up to intercept him holding onto his arms. "Don't you dare start a fight. I mean it Maddox." I warn.

"I'm not starting anything. He brought this on. He tells you he loves you and he's hanging around here for you. Now he's in your bed." He points out.

"She doesn't feel the same about me, asshole. So, calm down. Apparently, she likes the bruises you give her." Alex states.

Obviously, this was the wrong thing to say to Maddox. Maddox picks me up by my arms setting me to the side and advances on Alex.

"Touch one hair on his head Maddox and I'll never forgive you." I say, to his back. This makes him stop.

"Get out of her bed." Maddox repeats.

"Nah, I'm comfortable right here." Is Alex's smug reply.

All of a sudden something occurs to me, how did Maddox even know I was here? How did Alex know I was here too?

"Maddox, how did you know where I was?" I ask.

Maddox doesn't answer. So I ask Alex. "Alex, how did you know I was here?"

"Chris called Tyler when we didn't hear from you, he said you came back with Maddox. I didn't know you'd be here, but the door was unlocked so I thought I'd check." He answers.

"Maddox?"

"What?" he asks.

"How did you know where Tyler lived? And how did you know where I was?" I'm almost afraid to know.

I wait for an answer. "She asked you a question." Alex states, irritated.

"We'll talk about it later." Maddox says. I shake my head, no.

"Alex, do you mind if we talk later? I need to talk to Maddox right now." I ask, looking at Alex.

"Sure. You'll call me when you have time?" he asks, looking at me with love in his eyes. I guess the talk wasn't going the way I wanted it.

"Yeah, how about you, Chris and I go to dinner tonight? My treat." I respond.

"Sounds good, but I'm buying. What time?" He asks.

"6:00 have Chris find somewhere, I'm sure he has a place in mind." I suggest grinning, thinking of Chris.

"Alright." Alex says, getting up and walking to the door. "See you tonight."

Maddox turns towards me his face hard and his whole body tense. "Relax Maddox. He's gone." I assure him. "Now tell me what I want to know."

"It's going to sound bad." He states, calmly.

"Okay." I reply, suspiciously. Something is definitely up.

"I installed a tracking app on your phone." He answers, looking at me.

"Why would you do that." I ask, feeling surprised but above all violated. How could he do that?

"I did it after you left the night of the fight. I was lucky James knew where Tyler lived. I put the app. on so I could find you, if I needed to."

I don't know what to say, I feel my blood pressure rising I'm breathing harshly. I know I'm about to blow up and I'm trying to calm down. "Did you think at all about how this would make me feel? It's a huge violation of trust." I tell him, disappointed.

"I like knowing where you are." He says, quietly.

"Maddox, I don't know where to begin. I feel duped. What is it with Kahn men they feel the need to lie to me and make my decisions for me? You get what you want, You don't care who your hurting or how your effecting others. How can you justify your actions of stalking me?"

"It was just for peace of mind, Hadley."

"I want you to leave." I say, intending on talking to him later.

"Not without you." He counters.

"Maddox, it's best I don't talk to you right now. You need to go." I say, closing my eyes still feeling the anger at the audacity of his behavior.

"When will you come home?" he asks.

"I don't know. I need to calm down, I'm close to taking a baseball bat to your arrogant possessive ass. Don't push me, not right now." I warn.

He doesn't say anything as he walks close, I move away from him letting him pass. I can feel his eyes on me but I can't even look at him. When he leaves I get back in bed and call the only normal person in my life.

"Hello, babe." Tyler's answers, happily.

"I need advice is your mom with you?" I ask.

"Yeah." He says, worried.

"Put it on speaker."

"Okay... alright, your on." He says.

"I just discovered how Maddox found me at your house." I pause, talking a deep calming breath.

"How?" Tyler asks. And I hear Kathy hit him.

"He put a tracking app on my phone after the night I went to your house, after we fought." I answer.

"What! He's fucking crazy." Tyler says, matter of factly.

"Hadley, honey that's not okay." Kathy comments.

"I know. I'm so confused. I can't believe he would track me, but there's more. He used it again today to find out I was at my aunt's. Instead of calling me like a normal person, he just looked it up on his phone, how weird is that?"

"Hadley, I know you want a relationship with Maddox, but you have absolutely nothing if he can't trust you and you can't trust him. I thought he was possessive but this is beyond, this is an obsession. His need to know where you are at all times, that's not healthy." Kathy responds, sympathetically.

"I can't fix this, can I?" I ask.

"I don't know honey. I just don't think you should even be in this relationship. I'm saying this as if I'm talking to my daughter and I would say to her, 'get out of it.' This is not going to go well, think about it and do what you feel you need to do. We love you and we're here for you." She says.

"Thanks for talking to me." I reply, rubbing my temple.

"You just might be fighting for someone you hoped he'd be, not who he is." She reiterates.

"Ma's right. You fell for one side of Maddox, you can't live with him controlling your every move or you'll end up hating him. Walk away with the love you still have for him." Tyler suggests sadly.
