Breakfast was delicious. The orange juice taste exceptionally good in London rather than America.

"Babe, this is like magic in my mouth." I said gulping it. "Slow down. It's not going to run out the glass." He teased.

"Oh, shut up. That's exactly why I organized a shopping day." I said and he shook his head. "No. I'll pass." He replied.

"Sorry love, that's not an option."

"What about your show tonight?" He asked. "Yeah, it'll be a short shopping day, but soundcheck isn't until 5." I said with jazz hands. He shook his head again.

"Just promise me there will be no admiring a shirt for 15 minute moments." He said and I laughed. "Sure, I'll go for 10." I said making him tackle me softly yet just enough to spill my orange juice.

"Matthew Ayden!" I shrieked as he laughed at my now soaked feet. "Let's go you're going to miss out on the wonders of Rue de Rivoli." He said as he lifted me up and cleaned off my feet quickly.

The ride was interesting being able to look out my window and see the beautiful Parisians. Matthew didn't seem fascinated by the people. I pulled on my chic hat to disguise my face and we stepped into the streets and strolled.

I pointed out every detail and Matthew listened even though I knew he couldn't care less.

"How do I look?" I asked him after trying on the fifth dress. "Beautiful just like in the other four" He said and I just smiled. "You have a good heart, Matthew Summers."

"I got it from you."

"Hush, you've always had it you just didn't know how to show it." I said and he looked at me in a knowing way.

"Let me buy you that dress." He said holding out his hand for me. He twirled me in a circle. I shook my head.

"I thought your grandma left it to you to do good not spoil me with things I don't need, I just want." I said and he just sighed. "You didn't read her letter to me. She said some crazy things about you. I'd rather not talk about it, but they were all good things. I'm buying you that dress." He shot back and I gave him a confused look and went to change.

I came out and he grabbed my dress and put it in the bag. "Matthew, you can't steal that." I yelled quietly at him.

"I paid for it already I knew you'd be a pain about me paying for it if I took you to the counter with me." He said as we walked out. They waved. "True. I'm sorry I thought you were stealing it." I said.

"Yeah, I got that part." He said in a emotionless voice. "Let's go home." I said to him. "Best idea you've had all day." He retorted handing me my dress and opening the car door for me.

Blu, seriously. You pissed him off. He's going to shut down and he's not going to talk.

I looked between us to see if his hand was there. It wasn't. He'd placed it in his lap. I just sighed and stared at the window through the silent ride. Nothing looked as nice. There was no detail.

He didn't speak at all just headed for our bedroom. I didn't follow him not wanting to upset him. I just set down my bag and sat on the couch. Pepper had left a note saying she'd be gone and she'd meet us at the show.

"Come here." I heard making me drop the paper. Matthew was hanging on the door post and even speaking quiet I heard him clearly. He went back in our room and I stood to walk there.

He pointed at the spot on the bed next to him. I just sat down and waited for him to yell at me.

"I told you I'd buy it." He said and I groaned. "I know I just fucked up and in my defense I didn't know what you were doing." I said. "Okay. I'll drop it just know I've grown up and I wouldn't steal." He said coldly.

"You're still mad." I spoke and he didn't look or speak at me for awhile. "I'm not mad at all. I just want to know why you thought I'd steal it."

"I don't know."

"Yes, you do."

"Stop it." I said trying to come closer. He didn't react to me at all he just sat there.

"I'm sorry for assuming. My mistake. I know you wouldn't I just wasn't thinking clearly." I said and sighed. He still said nothing.

I started attacking him with kisses all over his face. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry." I pleaded and he grabbed my cheek.

"I'm really not mad at you." He said and I hugged him. "I don't care. I judged and I know you shut down and I just messed up. Forgive me." I pleaded.

"Forgiven." He said and I started to believe he wasn't mad. I snuggled close to him as we both fell asleep.

"Sky!" Pepper yelled startling me from my nap. I jumped snapping his arm from around me waking him up in the process. "Damn Blu." He said as he clutched his freshly cracked arm.

"Pepper! Am I late?" I asked and she groaned. "Almost, let's go!" She said pushing us out in the open. I dashed for the elevator with Matthew on my heels.

"Blu, how are you going to get out without being seen?" He asked and I just sighed. "Fuck me." I said and he smiled.

"I'll cover you." He said as I was rushed to the car. Matthew shielding me from the grimy, creepy paps until I was safe in the car.

"You should be my new bodyguard." I said as a joke. "I already am." He said back and I smiled.

"Thanks baby." I said as we pulled up at the venue for my show. My bodyguards escorted me quickly to wardrobe and make up.

"Matthew, what do you think?" My makeup artist asked him. "She looks just as good with a fresh face." He said and they laughed.

"Let's go!" My manager yelled. I stood and had them readjust my dress before walking out. Matthew pulled my arm.

"Secret for secret? You're going to rock it." He said. "You're the most adorable person." I said as he smacked my ass and I ran on stage to do what I love.

     Matthew

I was watching her do her thing and twist and turn as she belted out all the notes. I felt someone push my shoulder.

"Watch where you're fucking going." I said as the person ducked their head mumbling.

She ran off the stage an hour later glistening from sweat. You could tell she loved what she did. Her team stood ready to high five her. She did it so quick and gulped her bottle of water. I stood at the back and didn't even see her coming when she tackled me in a huge hug kissing my cheek.

I hugged her tight lifting her off the floor. "I'm sweaty. Put me down." She complained. "Shut up, you're still beautiful and you smell like fucking vanilla." I said kissing her nose. She chuckled as we walked back to her dressing room for her to change.

Her whole team stood outside her door. They looked nervous. She laughed at their expressions until Pepper stopped her from turning the knob.

"Babe, I wouldn't do that." Pepper warned and she started getting angry. Stubborn Blu pushed her aside and opened the door quickly. There sat the last man she ever wanted to see.....her father.

Blu

He smiled like it was a joke. Like my mother, his wife hadn't just recently passed away and he hadn't made a huge scene at her home going.

Matthew was fuming. His heat was radiating off his body. I slowly pushed him out the door before he beat my father. "I'll call for you if I need you." I said closing the door. I need to face my father for once.

"Blu, I'm here to help with the tour. I am still rightfully your legal guardian I therefore oversee your career." He said.

Little did he know.

"Sit down." I ordered and he did. I shook internally. "You're sick you know. Showing up and pretending like nothing happened." I spoke and he cackled.

"His mother, I used her like a rag. She just wanted money even though it was nice having company and someone to talk to." He said and I scoffed. "My mother would've talked to you had you not been a asshole and a awful father to two kids who wanted to love you despite all the times you'd done them wrong."

"Oh Blu, don't get heartfelt. I don't care. Your mother is out my life. Rickey killed the true love of my life. You wouldn't be here had your grandparents not forced me to marry your mother." He said to me and I smacked him.

"You disgust me. The thought of having your DNA makes me get sick. You're crazy! You aren't my legal guardian. I've been working on my emancipation." I said lying, but only a little. I'd read into it awhile back and I decided then I was going to go through with it.

"Stop it Sky. You're a worse liar than your mother. You can't fool me." He shot back.

"Fool you? No, I'll have the papers emailed to you." I said and he shrugged his shoulders. "I'll be waiting."

"Get out and I never want to see you around here again or near me. You aren't in my life and you are most definitely not my father." I said as he exited quiet. Matthew rushed in.

"Are you okay? I'll go find him and beat his ass if he hurt yo-" He spoke and I cut him off.

"No, I'm fine. I just need to leave. Now." I said and he made it happen. He directed everyone around and we were leaving.

"Coffee?" He suggested. "Yes please." I relaxed resting my head on his shoulder as the driver rerouted.

We ordered and settled into a nice cozy booth. I slid my hat down over my face.

"What happened?" Matthew asked automatically. "Nothing. I just realized my father isn't my father. He has changed so much since the beginning of my senior year. He's crazy and controlling. I hate it. I hate him. The way he disrespects his deceased wife, my mother to my face. He's sick, Matthew." I said choking up and Matthew slid into my side of the booth wrapping an arm around me pulling me close.

"You can't help him, Blu. I tried with my mom. She just stole from me and took me for granted. Some people have to be cut off, Blu, it's life and your dad isn't worth holding on to. If I ever hit you I'd contemplate doing worse to myself. Your father honestly didn't give a fuck and he's done everything to prove that. He's not worth it. You love too much. He doesn't deserve it at all." He said and I just shook my head with tears in my eyes.

"I just didn't want this. I wanted him to love me and support me through everything." I cried. He sighed. I knew he understood because of his mom & father. The only difference is he'd never admit he wished they'd do right by him and love him too.

"I understand, but you have to realize you can't waste time on people like your father. I know you and you aren't going to let it go, but just enjoy your coffee and try to forget." He said and I shook my head.

"How'd I do?" I asked and he chuckled. "Fantastic." He said making his hand big. "I didn't know you knew a word like fantastic." I said.

"When it comes to you I regain sense and try to use nice words." He said as I laughed. "I miss our Coffee Palace dates." I reminisced and he grabbed my hand.

"Scandalous, much?" I said and he laughed. "No one knows who you are with that giant hat on and when we get home we'll start going back." He said making it seem like college wasn't going to happen.

"Can I ask you something?" I asked and he shook his head.

"I know we're just freshmen in college, but do you see me in your future?" I said. Pepper had made me think hard after she mentioned marriage. I want that with him. I want to have his kids and love him till the day we die.

"I'm not a freshmen, you are. I don't think that far ahead, Blu. I want to say yes, but I'll never make a promise to you I can't keep." He said and I just nodded.

"Fair enough." I spoke and I could see him relax thinking he was off the hook. I know pressuring him will push him away for good, yet I wish he'd just be straight up and tell me.

I know he loves me, but I also know love isn't always enough.
