Amidst the ashes of the first royal residence of the Joseon Dynasty, Gyeongbokgung, a tale of intrigue, bravery, and unexpected twists unfolded with the rise of Changdeokgung Palace. Following the destruction caused by Japanese forces, this new palace became the seat of power under the reign of the courageous King Gojeong.

Within the palace walls lived Princess Min-ah, an adventurous soul with a unique talent for crafting enchanting perfumes from flowers and herbs. Despite her father's protective measures, providing her with 20 guards, Princess Min-ah longed to escape their watchful eyes. In her pursuit of ingredients for a special birthday gift for her father, she concocted a perfume that could lull her guards into a deep slumber.

Venturing into the city, Princess Min-ah's excitement turned to terror when she was kidnapped and taken to a dark room. Unbeknownst to her, the orchestrator of her plight was none other than the King of the Qing Dynasty, who harbored resentment towards the Joseon Dynasty.

In captivity, Princess Min-ah vehemently defended her father's honor, only to be faced with an ultimatum – the Joseon Dynasty would bow to the Qing Empire for her release. As night fell, hope waned, and loneliness enveloped her. However, a glimmer of her own creation, the sleep-inducing perfume, sparked an audacious escape plan.

With cunning precision, she subdued a guard, snatched the key, and fled back to the palace. To her horror, the once majestic palace lay in ruins, with guards fallen in a war between the Joseon and Qing dynasties. Princess Min-ah, guided by fear and determination, discovered her wounded father being tended to by skilled Uinyeo.

In their tearful reunion, King Gojeong forgave his daughter, revealing that he had relinquished the dynasty for her safety. The Joseon Dynasty bowed to the Qing Dynasty, and both the king and Princess Min-ah became ordinary citizens.

Undeterred, Princess Min-ah delved into her passion for perfume-making, supported by her father. Together, they established a small store that grew into a global sensation, captivating the world with the scents of their creations.
