One night in fuze city, a certain person was just eating a burger peacefully in a restaurant, that is until...

*kaboom* an explosion occured outside causing everyone to panic

"BEHOLD THE MIGHTY MECHABOMB, AND IM TO HERE TO DESTR-" 

*snap*

Then all of a sudden he stoped in his place, not only him but everything was still like if time had stoped

(Y/N) POV

"Finally" i said as i kept eating my burger, that roboperson sure makes a scene i cant even enjoy my food in peace

The reason why everything was still but me os because i have a power to stop time with a snap of my finger, but instead of using it for good i rather have fun with it

"Ahh that was good"

"Quickflash, aka (Y/N)" someone said in a monotone voice

I was startled by this, i turn around and saw it was none other then paradox, she had the power to bend reality and disobey the laws of physics allowing her to be the only person that doesn't get affected buy my time stopper

"you have the greatest power ever known and you use it to eat in the middle of chaos"

"I told you to not creep up behind me 12 times already"

"Well if you paid more attention to your surroundings then you wouldn't be scared so easily"

"Yeah yeah whatever, are you just hear to bug me or..."

"I need your help"

"...excuse me"

"You see, there is a gang that sells dangerous things like that rust bucket over there"

"Oh, that explains all of the sudden chaos with the super weapons lately"

"And i need you on this operation, since your time stoping ability doesn't effect us, finding out who the culprits are and arresting them will be a piece of cake"

"...Pass"

"What"

"Yeah, I don't really do this hero stuff for a hobby, so no thanks"

"*sigh* fine what do you want"

"I thought you never asked~, i would like a spot on the hero club your in please"

" you know that the super association doesn't recruit young ones?"

"That didn't stop them from recruiting you"

"..."

"So how about it, deal?"

I extended my hand to paradox, after a second of her thinking she shakes my hand

"Deal 'even tho it will never happen' , now i discovered that a member of the group goes to bar at 9:00 pm, well get some information from him first"

I noded and she walked towards the robo guy and took a chip of of him,i snapped starting time as normal

"Destroy this city with my..., hey...i-i cant move"

Robo guy fell down face first and was grunting trying to move

"He'll be fine"i said, we started to run to said bar and stop this whole mess

Timeskip

After gathering information and fighting thugs we made it to the location of the leader of whoever is giving these weapons like candy

The boss of the group was at the top floor and the elevator wasn't working, so we had to climb up the stairs and in every level there's a lot of thugs to deal with, it wasn't hard, just that me stoping time and then beating them up was kinda boring

We were forgetting a few levels left to climb and it was calm and silent, so i decided to light up the mood

"So paradox, what made you become a hero?

"...i don't really want to talk about it"

"Alright, i don't wanna force you either"

"And why do you want to join the hero association?"

"Hmm...well i always wanted to help those i  need"

"But i thought you said you not a hero"

"Well that's what everyone says since you know, time stopping, no one can eve see i was the one who saved them, so i thought that if i joined the hero club, maybe some one will recognize me as one"

"Oh, well im sure someone already thinks your a hero"

"If you can name one person then  i'll believe you"

"Well..."

As she was about to say someone's name we heard some evil laughter coming from the upper floor, we made it there and  saw a giant screen with someone in i chair, he turn around reveling the boss of the group

"Well well well, if it isn't paradox, and who's this, is it take your brother to work day?"

"Can it Mr.menace, your garage selling days are over" paradox said with more of a heroic tone then her usual monotone voice

"Ps, im not here brother"

"Oh really" then who might you be Mr.nobody"

I snapped and started running towards him, but then he hit and grabbed me by my hair lifting me up even tho my time stopper was activated

"(Y/N)! Let him go" paradox said threateningly

"Pathetic, and you expect to be a hero boy, with this stupid flashy power of yours, no wonder the hero association never accepted you"

After hearing that i was raging mad, i wanted to beat him up so bad but the position i was in wouldn't allow it

"Your wrong, if i manage to beat you, then ill join the hero association" i yelled at him

"Oh really, is that true paradox"

"I...well..."

I was looking at paradox waiting for her answer but she kept looking down not saying a thing

"Oh looks like you wont be joining any time soon Mr.nobody"

I looked at paradox, disappointed at her for lying to me, disappointed at myself for being useless with my powers, and out of pure rage i got out of Mr.menace's grip and grabbed a nearby metal bar

"GIVE ME A GOOD REASON WHY I SHOULDN'T KILL YOU"

"because you'll never be accepted that way"

"Well im not entering any time soon so" i threw the bar at him and it hit his super computer making him turn around, i used this chance to tackle him and throw punches at his face, a wasn't planing to stop until paradox grabbed my shoulder

"QUICK, THAT'S ENOUGH!"she pulled me out of menace and she handcuffed him to the chair, we did it but i was upset by what happened still

After some time the cops arrived and took menace away, meanwhile on top of the building, paradox saw the whole thing while i just looked down not facing her

"You see (Y/N), i told you it be a pice of cake"

I didn't answer her as i was still mad about the truth

"(Y/N), look im sorry, i know i shouldn't have lied to you but i had no choice"

"You know, your base is about 300 meters from here to the left"

"Come on (Y/N), at least try to act like a hero after winning the battle we had"

I turned around and walked towards her, she looked kinda scared even tho she has more chances to win if we had a fist fight

"Let me point something's out, first im not a real hero, and second by the time this will be on the news you'll receive all the credit cuz there's no sign's of me anywhere and even if there were then they'll just say its a new power of yours and third, i would feel victorious if you didn't lie to me about the hero club so do me a favor and never show up around me if you need my so called help again" i started to walk away leaving her be

Paradox's POV

Making my way to the facility i was congratulated by the other hero's there for doing the job so fast and easy, after some time a found the leader of the team

"Um... captain blast"

"Hmm, paradox what can i help you with"

"Well...i was wondering if you can recruit Quickflash to the team"

"Umm, why is that all of a sudden"

"Well he did help me on the mission, and he wanted to join the team if he helped me"

"Well im afraid we can't recruit him"

"What!? But why" i asked slightly angered

"Well his power is astonishing but time stopping isn't enough to be a member"

"But what else does he need to be a hero if he helped me take down Mr.menace"

"Well if he agreed to say we did the job then he could be in"

"You can't be serious, i thought we saved the town for the greater good"

"Yeah, but why not receive a little recognition out of it"

I was disgusted by his statement, he only became a hero for fame, what type of hero does that.

"Well if this is what hero's are here, then i guess i'll leave this place"

"Fine, just don't come back pleading to join back"

I left the association and started to think what to do, and the first thing i have to do is apologize to (Y/N)

I was walking around town looking for him, i crossed the street and a wild truck was rampaging, i wad dead on my tracks seeing go at high speed's towards me, i closed my eyes and waited for it to happen, and after time  nothing happened , the truck was right in front of me not moving at all

I turned around and saw that everything else was still

"What's the golden rule when you cross the street?"

I looked behind me and (Y/N) was on top of the truck, looking right at me

"Umm...always look both way's"

"Good girl"  he then hopped off and pulled and grabbed my hand taking me to the side walk

He snapped and the truck fell to the ground with flat tires, the cops came and took the driver away

"Thank you paradox, you saved the day again" the cop said

" wait it wasn't me, it was (Y-i mean Quickflash he..." i turned and saw he was gone

I looked around and saw no tracks of him, until

"Hey, where did my burger go"

With that i knew exactly where he is

(Y/N) POV

I was at a roof top eating the burguer i PAID for, even tho i just left the money in his table and took the meal

As i was about to bite it when i heard someone behind me, i turn around and saw paradox

"Wait, how did you know i was here!?"

"Your always here when your eating"

"Oh, never realized, so need anything"

"I just wanted to apologize again for lying to you, i see how much of a hero you want to be and i made you feel a false hope about getting known as one"

"Its cool, don't worry about it"

"Really, just like that"

"Yeah, even tho im not recognized as a hero, i do enjoy saving people at times, so is that all you needed"

"Well i was hoping if i could stay with you and help out"

"What? Why, i thought the hero club had a place for you"

"It did, but i left, turns out the heros only help if there's a camera there"

"Pfft, that sounds stupid, well if you want you can stick with me, are you hungry?"

"Umm... not really *growls*"

"Here have it, you sound like you need it more"

She grabbed the burger and ate it all, i was surprised at how fast she ate

After that, we spend the whole day patrolling the city, it was quite peacefully today so nothing exciting happened, and then night time appeared and we were sitting on the tallest rooftop seeing the city lighted up

"Today was boring, but it's nice being around with you" i said to paradox, i was able to see her cheeks get a little red at what i said

"Thanks, your not that bad to hang around with as well"

"Well it's time to head home"

"Can we wait a little longer"

"Sure why not"

After a while i felt paradox lay her head on my shoulder

"Paradox?"

"My name is kate (Y/N)"

"Oh, well kate what are you doing"

She got off my shoulder and looked away

"I was just resting, sorry i didn't..."

"No wait, its ok, if your tired you can keep resting"

Paradox, aka kate  put her head on my shoulder again, and i wrapped my arm around her, just seeing the sight of the city

"By the way (Y/N)"

I looked at her

"Even if no one knows you saved then, you'll always be a hero to me"

I blushed at her statement, she said it with such a kindness that it could kill, she then kissed my cheek and i stared at her

"Just to show you my appreciation after saving me"

After that moment we became the best super duo in the city, even tho no one knows im part of the team and paradox did all the work, but as long as paradox thinks im a hero, then she's all i need to feel like one
