(Part 2)
-6 Earth Months later-
I was put in charge of caring for the human after the others have seen his improved mental state. He's more calm now, but only with me he says he trusts me. He views me as his mother, sadly his real family is long dead by now. It was unfortunate, but we had to 'reset' their planet to make it habitable for us and the future generations of the countless animals that live on the planet. Obviously we didn't take all of the humans so most of them were wiped out. I reluctantly digress.
At this very moment, he's in my coils asleep. So far his rehabilitation is going smoothly. I just hope my partner won't interrupt it or worse. Break him again. She has only some regard for anyone but herself, but she cares nothing for other intellectual beings. She would sooner swallow this human named Collin, rather than learn from him.

"Mom?" he asks me suddenly.
"Yes?" I answerd him with a responding question.
"My home planet, what was it like?"
"It was beautiful, but also in need of drastic repair".
"So what's going on with my planet now?" He asks me.
"We're fixing it. Once it's done we'll help you repopulate your world and both of our species will live there ourselves" I answer.
"...Thank you. I hope we get to live together" he says.
I stroke his head as he falls back asleep.
In a few moments, almost as if the gods sent her to make things worse, she shows up. My partner Ginia.

She saw me with the human and spoke to me in our native tongue.
"When are you going to tell him the truth Hona?" She hisses.
"I already have. You and I both know that's the plan of us visiting here". I answer.
"I mean about his real family". She corrects me.
"He already knows. Now leave us" I order her.
"Its not healthy for you to be attached to this human. At least take a break and let me watch him" she says with a seemingly innocent smile.
I glared at her knowing well that when I let her watch my patients they tend to go missing while she gets mysteriously fatter.
"Not a chance in the afterworld". I hiss at her.
"...Fine" she sighs angrily.
She leaves with her nose in the air.

I pet Collin's head. Keeping him safe.
