Mu Xiyue didn’t hear any stupid rumors, but Mo Heng did. And he was as mad as a wet hen. Consequently, he was colder to Mu Xiyue, keeping at a distance from her.

Mu Xiyue felt it strange. Mo Heng always distained to communicate with her, but not as aggravated as he did now. “Something must be wrong.” she thought, and she stopped Mo Heng someday.

Seeing Mu Xiyue walking over, Mo Heng had planned to make a detour. Before he succeeded, Mu Xiyue stopped him and asked what happened. Mo Heng pushed her away, trying to ignore her. But she pulled his robe tightly. Fed with up her entanglement, Mo Heng asked impatiently, “What the hell do you want? If you keep stopping me, don’t blame me for being rude.”

Mu Xiyue grinned and replied, “You know, I don’t mean to bother. I just wonder what’s wrong with you lately and you’re been acting weirdly, especially to me.”

Mo Heng looked at her, frowned and explained, “Your concern is misplaced. Nothing is wrong and stop bothering me.”

His replied didn’t convince Mu Xiyue at all. She was sure that Mo Heng was hiding things from her, she stood in his way and said, “Tell me, or don’t dream to leave.”

Mo Heng pushed her away and strode away.

Out of anger, Mu Xiyue yelled and prodded, “If you don’t explain to me, I’ll tell Long Yinfeng that you bullied me and ask him to punish you!”

Mo Heng stopped right away. He walked to Mu Xiyue and said gravely, “Don’t show off just because Prince Yinfeng supports you. Do you know what trouble you bring him? To protect you from being hurt, he suffers all gossips. It’s not his fault, but he takes it on. Hope you’ll play wiser and stop making trouble for him.”

That was a surprise. Mu Xiyue asked in confusion, “What did you say? Sorry I don’t think I understand you. Be specific!”

“Just because you offended Long Yichen, everyone says that Long Yichen sent you to Prince Yinfeng to humiliate him. He got a woman abandoned by Long Yichen! I really don’t understand why Prince Yinfeng likes you! Instead of bringing him good luck, you bring him endless trouble! What the hell!” as he explained, he felt angrier.

Mu Xiyue felt so bad, after she heard this. Meanwhile, she hated Long Yichen more.

Mo Heng continued, “Prince Yinfeng warned me not to tell you anything about the rumors. But you asked again and again. I had to tell you, in case you let Prince Yinfeng to take all the blame for you like an idiot. I’m done. Hope you’ll behave yourself.”

Immediately he finished, he turned away.

Mu Xiyue stood still, staring in blank. She never expected herself to bring so much trouble to Long Yinfeng. “Why didn’t I know it earlier? I would have helped him,” she thought, weeping uncontrollably.

To Mu Xiyue, Long Yichen was a total blighter, and she hated him! She made up her mind to launch an attack, instead of awaiting her doom.

She spent quite a lot of money, asking maids and servants to check up on Long Yichen secretly, and finally, she got some useless news. The money wasn’t wasted.

According to the servants, Long Yichen was impetuous and ill-tempered. Such personality often failed his plan. The lust for women was one of his weak points.

Thinking of how Long Yichen slandered her, trapped her in the feast and how he disrespected Long Yinfeng, Mu Xiyue was indignant.

“Why don’t I use Long Yichen’s weak point and teach him a lesson?” she thought. “So that he’ll know how it feels to be slandered and he’ll no longer tarnish the reputation of Yinfeng or me.”

Mu Xiyue was going to make Long Yichen get a taste of his own medicine so that she could teach him a lesson. After a long consideration, she had plan.

She bought over a maid who took care of Long Yichen’s daily diet, at a rather high price, and gave her a small packet of knockout drops. She asked the maid to put the knockout drops in the tea Long Yichen had every day and the maid did it.

Long Yichen took the tea, and soon he felt dizzy. His head fell on the table, and he lost consciousness. Obviously, he passed out.

Mu Xiyue asked her servants to carry Long Yichen to the deserted palace. “If anyone asks, tell him that Prince Yichen was drunk and went out for some fresh air.” she ordered the servants.

Long Yichen was take to the deserted palace smoothly. Only a heroine was needed for the moment. Mu Xiyue had picked one.

During the long period of planning, Mu Xiyue found one of the emperor’s concubines who was vicious and always maltreated her servants. A lot of her servants were resentful, but fail to resist, considering their humble social positions.

Mu Xiyue didn’t like her, either, and wanted to teach her a lesson. It was a perfect chance for the moment. “I can teach them a lesson together!” she thought.

Therefore, Mu Xiyue asked the servants, who had been abused by the imperial concubine, to carry their master to the deserted palace, too. The servants, without doubt, were very glad to help. They had enough of their merciless master and had been expecting to teach her a lesson. They agreed to help, without demur.

When Long Yichen and the merciless imperial concubine were both taken into the deserted palace, Mu Xiyue asked the servants to feed them with some philter. With a scornful smile, Mu Xiyue closed the door and left. The trap was done.

But how could the emperor know about this? Mu Xiyue thought carefully about it and had a good idea. Instead of letting His Majesty know it through rumors, she’d rather have a man tell His Majesty. A man that the emperor trusted.

It would make him angrier, and then he would punish Long Yichen harder.

Mu Xiyue was going to see an old eunuch who had been serving the emperor for many years. It was said that the emperor placed a great deal of faith in the old eunuch.

“If the old eunuch tells His Majesty about it, I guess the plan will work better!” thought Mu Xiyue.
