Soon, Long Yichen caught up with Mu Xiyue. Hearing footsteps behind her, Mu Xiyue thought she was stalked. She quickened her pace.

“Why are you walking so fast? Feeling guilty?”

Mu Xiyue recognized his voice immediately. She stopped, looked back and asked with a sigh, “What do you want again?”

“What do I want?” Long Yichen replied coldly, “You was just sharp-tongued and slandered me. You’re pretending nothing happened?”

That made Mu Xiyue mad! Long Yichen insulted her first! But now he was complaining? Without hesitation, she retorted, “Fascinating! How innocent you sound! If you hadn’t slandered me first, why would I strike back? I thought the argument was closed. I didn’t expect you to be so narrow-minded. What a psychopath!”

The last word infuriated Long Yichen. He was so angry that even words failed him!

Mu Xiyue continued, “If you weren’t a psychopath, I wouldn’t have lied! Hope you’ll learn the lesson. Or you might get yourself in more trouble!”

Instantly she finished, she turned away.

The anger choked Long Yichen and he could scarcely breathe. He reached out, wanting to slap Mu Xiyue. The latter, as expected, easily dodged. She knocked his hand out of the way and walked away.

Long Yichen stamped on the ground and punched the pillar near him. He made a silent vow to himself to take revenge someday.

Mu Xiyue was extremely sick of Long Yichen. With no reason would she care how Long Yichen felt. “Hope he won’t mess up with me again.” she thought.

On her way back, nothing was filling her mind, except Long Yinfeng. His leg problem puzzled her. So did the parasitic poison. There could be no such coincidence.

The more she thought, the stranger she felt. It reminded her of how she was framed up and defamed. For the first time ever, she felt the intrigue in the imperial harem was so unpredictable that she had to pay more attention and be more cautious. If she didn’t, she might get killed even before she knew the reason.

As she thought, she walked into rockeries.

BANG! Her head was thumped! Her eyes dulled and she fell down. Mu Xiyue was knocked out, totally unexpected. And she was taken to a deserted palace. When she woke up, she felt dopey and a prick on her head. She touched my head and struggled to sit up. Looking around, she failed to figure out where she was. She felt curious and scared at the same time.

Slowly, she calmed down, picked herself up and walked to the door, expecting to leave, only to find that the door was locked and she was kept in.

She had guessed it without a moment’s thought! Long Yichen must have knocked her out to take revenge. It upset her!

She turned around and suddenly saw a man huddled up in the corner of the room. he looked groggy, somewhat rumpled.

He was locked in the same room with her. Obviously, someone wanted her to be caught cheating on Prince Yinfeng so that she would no longer be innocent. Long Yichen was most likely to be behind all this. If he made it, he could prove his malicious slander.

“Then I’ll be unforgiven.” Mu Xiyue thought.

At last, she realized how wicked Long Yichen was! A real psychopath!

Mu Xiyue walked to the man, but didn’t panic, looking up and down at the man. Seemed like he was sickly, as pale as death. He also looked emaciated. There was a very definite possibility that he had some nasty disease.

Mu Xiyue was a doctor in the 21st century and she wouldn’t ignore a patient. However angry she was, she still felt the pulse of the man and made up a prescription for him.

Before she finished teaching the man how to use the prescription, she heard footsteps hurrying forward. She knew it could possibly be those minions whom Long Yichen asked to break in and catch her in the act.

Mu Xiyue was exasperated. “Damn Long Yichen,” she thought, “He’s got cheek enough for anything, just to take revenge.”

She also knew she would be in danger if she didn’t take action to save herself. And that would bring shame on Long Yinfeng.

“How about turning his trick to my own use?” Mu Xiyue thought. Immediately, she threw herself into her invisible treasure chest, regardless of the man in the same room with her.

The man was surprised with a bemused expression. But from the bottom of his heart, he knew Mu Xiyue was a good girl. He meant harm, but she still tried to cure him. “She could have killed me,” He thought, “I can’t hurt her then.”

Just then, some guys broke in, led by Long Yichen as expected. He walked in, with a pleased look, thinking he could utterly discredited Mu Xiyue. The only thing out of his plan was that the emperor also came along with them.

To his surprise, he saw only a man shabbily dressed, while Mu Xiyue was nowhere to be found in the room.

It shocked Long Yichen. He asked his minions to search every corner of the room while there was no trace of Mu Xiyue however hard they tried.

Long Yichen flew into a rage again! He pulled the collar of one minion and asked in a threatening manner, “Where is she?! Didn’t you promised that you got her?”

The minion shuddered with terror and jabbered, “Your Highness. I got her... I promise! But I don’t know what is going on here.”

Long Yichen shook him out of the way and he knelt down immediately.

Long Yichen looked angry with a face like thunder. He came confidently to catch Mu Xiyue in the act, only to find a man alone. He clenched his fists, gnashed his teeth and cursed secretly, “Mu Xiyue! That was good! But I won’t let you go! And I won’t stop unless I ruin you!

Just then, the emperor spoke abruptly, his voice was toneless, though. “Is this what you want to show me?”
