ilus and feelings

In the evening the teenagers met again at the beach to practice riding an ilu. While standing in the shallow water Aonung makes some calling, clicking sounds with his mouth to get the attention of ilus that are swimming nearby. Now the ilus were swimming directly around them as they stick their head out of the water.

"These are ilus." He told the group as he caressed the head of an ilu. "If you want to live here, you have to ride them."

"Are they dangerous?" Kiri asked.

"No, they are very peaceful and friendly." Tsireya answered smiling.

"Come on, Aonung. Demonstrate how to ride them properly." Rotxo suggested and Aonung nodded.

Aonung calls his ilu with the same clicking noise as before. As the ilu arrived beside him he gently makes the bond with the animal and climbed up on the back of the ilu. His posture is relaxed, yet stable. He holds on tight as he moves forward fast diving into the water. He is one with the ilu and the water. Then he jumps out of the water with an excited cry and lands back into the water. He comes back to the group and climbs back into the water.

"That is kind of impressive." Kiri said honestly and Aonung has an proud look on his face. He is one of the best riders in the clan as he should be as the son of the Olo'eyktan.

"Okay now you try, Lo'ak." Aonung said and holding an ilu in place while Leyra is doing the same on the other side of the ilu. She caressed the body of the ilu, to calm it down because of the unknown rider it has to take. Lo'ak comes to the both and climbs up on the ilu, rather clumpsy and almost falling off again. He was kind of embarrassed 'cause he wanted to impress Leyra on his first try.

"Adjust your posture." Leyra said putting her hand on Lo'ak's back and putting pressure on his lower back. She felt his muscles flexing under her touch. "Stabilize your legs so you don't slip down." She puts her other hand on his thigh and moved his leg in position.

Neteyam didn't like it that Leyra is touching his brother again and he knows that Lo'ak enjoys her touch because he does too. They are the same when it comes to her even if they haven't known her long. It's only been days. They get little butterflies in their stomach when she touches them or just glancing at them. They were captured by her beauty the moment they saw her on the first day here.

"Now hold on tight." She continues and takes his hands to the kurus, where they cold hold on when riding an ilu.

"Make the connection gently."

Lo'ak's hand slides behind him as he grabs his braid and pulls it before himself in a swift motion. But for Leyra it seems his movement was in slow motion because how captured she was as she was looking at him. Her breath got stuck in her throat because she was feeling a little hot, even though the cold wind was gliding trough her hair. She realized that she was attracted to Lo'ak because even the smallest movement of him turned her on. Her eyes widen at her thoughts as her cheeks were turning red and she quickly put distance between her and Lo'ak.

"Feel his breath and his strength." Aonung said to Lo'ak.

Tsireya noticed Leyra's sudden move and looked at her confused but then connected the dots because of the way Leyra looked at Lo'ak while her cheeks turned more red. Now Tsireya and Leyra made eye contact and Tsireya let out a giggle but Leyra looked at her warningly to not say anything about this.

They have been friends since they were only children and they could communicate without words, only with a look. They told each other everything and knew when the other is sad or has a new crush. Later they would definitely talk about that.

Lo'ak got everyone's attention now that he is moving forward on the ilu. Slowly at first and then increased his pace. It looked good so far. That was until her got underwater and lost his hold of the ilu and feel off into the depth of the sea. Lo'ak was embarrassed as he swam back to the group who were laughing. Leyra held her hand over her mouth as she chuckled lightly. She didn't wanted to let him feel bad because of his failed attempt.

"Don't worry. No one got this perfectly on the first try." Leyra smiled encouraging and placed her hand on Lo'ak's arm.

"Kiri. Where is Kiri?" Rotxo throws in the question and she indeed wasn't amongst the group. Everyone started to look around.

In the depth of the ocean in between corals and fishes Kiri was swimming and admiring the beauty of the ocean. She watched as an ilu was swimming towards her and then circling her. But not in a dangerous way. More like in a welcoming way. Kiri smiled, getting nearer to the ilu and petting his head. The ilu was instantly relaxed by her touch and was nestling his head onto her hand more.

Kiri connected their queue and it felt very natural. Meant to be. She got onto the back of the ilu and got into the right position like Aonung minutes before. She held on tight when they moved forward. She floated gracefully through the water like she had done it a million times before. She felt happy under the water and moved faster.

Then she jumped high above the water with an happy cry what caught the attention of the other teenagers. The watched her in respectfulness.

"Right. No one has done it on the first try." Lo'ak mocked besides Leyra with a slight tone of annoyance in his voice as he watched his sister.

Tuk, who was standing at the beach, cheered for her sister loudly. "Yes, Kiri!" She had watched the others interested. Because she was too young she couldn't ride an ilu so she was just looking at how her siblings tried and most of them failed.

"She is such a natural." Tsireya whispered captivated by Kiri.

Kiri stopped in front of the group and grinned. "How was I?"

"Perfect!" Tsireya called out but went red when she realized she said it out loud in front of everyone.

"Okay. Boys you go and continue practicing." Leyra said quickly to get the attention away from Tsireya as she clearly doesn't want it right now. "And we girls, go and have a girls talk!"

"Come on!" Leyra said and swam forward while the girls followed her quickly. The boys followed them with their gaze, but got back to practicing.

Back on land Kiri turned to look at Tuk who was in the distance on the beach "I'll go and look what Tuk is doing. See you later." Then she was gone.

Leyra sat in the sand while she looked over to the boys in the ocean and Tsireya did the same.

"So, you like Kiri..."

"So, you like Lo'ak..."

They said at the same time and burst into laughter.

"Kiri is very beautiful. And I think she would be perfect for you, Reya." Leyra smirked at Tsireya.

"Yeah, I really like her, but you know, I don't even know if she is into girls." Tsireya said unsure and looked to Kiri and Tuk, who where building a sandcastle a few feet away from them.

"Honey, I can sense that she definitely likes girls too. She just has this vibe, like you."

"What kind of vibe do I have?"

"Well,  you certainly know that men are not worthy to love or even give them attention. So you chose girls instead." Leyra laughed.

"Thats not how it works, Leyra." Tsireya laughed too.

"I know, but you get what I mean. So you should definitely try it with her. And if it doesn't work out, I am still here and we have many other beautiful women here too."

"Right, but what about you and Lo'ak?" Tsireya smirked knowingly. "He certainly left an impression on you, Ley."

"Yes, he did. But I haven't spoken to him in private, only with our group around."

"He is clearly into you. He has only eyes for you when we teach them."

"I get this little butterflies in my stomach when he looks at me or touches me." Leyra's cheeks turn red while she looks ahead to him in the water and he catches her eyes. He gave her a smile and she returned it. Since he was distracted by her he fell off the ilu again.

"I have them now 'cause he is looking at me right know."

"Oh-Oh you really are getting feelings for him, Ley." Tsireya looked between them both.

"I do, but then there is his older brother. Neteyam caught my attention too." Leyra whined, confused because of her chaotic feelings.

"Oh Baby..." Tsireya muttered and swung her arm around Leyra, hugging her from the side.

"There is like this tension between us, that I really like and can't get enough from." she kept talking. "I'm just so confused."

"I think you should explore your feelings with both of them, but tell them that you like them both first, before you do physical stuff with them." Tsireya advised her while looking to the brothers.

"I will." She looked to the both brothers too.

"And you, honey, should jump right into a hot make out session with Kiri." Leyra smirked and Tsireya got flustered instantly.

"Oh Eywa. You are unbelievable, Leyra."

"They were totally talking about us." Lo'ak whispered to his brother while they were still in the water with Aonung and Rotxo.  "They were looking to us when they were talking."

"Relax, bro."
