village Awa'atlu

Tsireya is leading the Sully family through the village and Leyra trailed behind the two brothers. They were walking to the Marui which they will live in for now with their belongings in the arms. Tuktirey, the youngest of them was running hoppingly on the bouncy walkway. The path was very familiar to Leyra because her own Marui is in the area.

The family looked around them in fascination of the unique living way of the Metkayina. Ilus were swimming around them and the landscape was breathtaking.

Leyras ears twitched after hearing the brothers talking about her but she tried to look uninterested.

"I'm just wondering, why doesn't she look like the others?" Lo'ak whispered curiously to his brother on his right side.

"Don't know, it is kinda strange." Neteyam responds. "But she is definitely not only a Metkayina. Maybe a mix of two Na'vi clans?"

Leyra knew it was obvious but she didn't thought they would talk about this right in front of her. She already felt bad about this topic and she knew they would never going to accept her, so she shouldn't let them befriend her. They are strangers anyway.

"We could ask Dad. He must know." Lo'ak agrees with his older brother.

"Did you saw her eyes?"

Her eyes were one of her many insecurities about herself.

"Yeah. Green like the forest. I could go lost in them." he chuckled. "I'm totally gonna talk to her." Lo'ak adds confidently.

"Not if I talk to her first little bro." Neteyam said smirking and shoving his brother playfully to the side.

"Maybe you should stop talking about her, when she is walking right behind you." Kiri said annoyed and rolling her eyes while looking back at them.

"We weren't talking about her..." Lo'ak muttered defeated, that they got caught. The brothers looked behind them, ready to catch her eyes, but Leyra was looking away to the other Metkayina in the water riding Ilus. She would not let them see her emotions at all.

They arrived at an Marui and Tsireya said. "This is it. Your new home."

"Yeah, this will work." Jake muttered and the family dropped their stuff inside.

"You can settle in and we can meet later to eat dinner together." Tsireya smiles and walked away. Leyra following her.

"Wait!" the brothers said in union but Leyra was already gone. Neytiri and Jake shared a confused look as they turned to their sons.

"You are not already starting to fall for the two girls, are you?" Jake asked his sons harshly. Neytiri tried to hide a small smile.

"No!" Neteyam and Lo'k said at the same time and too fast. Kiri rolled her eyes because she is absolutely not believing them.

"I'm watching you boys." Jake told them strictly.

In the evening as the sun goes down the Sully family gathered inside their Marui for a family meeting.

"I need you kids on your best behavior. I mean it. Learn fast, pull your weight, don't cause trouble, got it?" Jake says and the last part especially directed to Lo'ak. 

"Yes, Sir." Lo'ak answered and Neteyam shoved his little brother playfully because he knows his brother is going to cause trouble either way.

"I want to go home." Tuk cried.

"This is our home now, Tuk." Jake answered sadly and held her hand. "We're gonna get through this."

"What does your father say?" Neytiri asked.

"Sully's stick together." They all said together.

Leyra helped preparing the food for the meal for this evening because the whole village would eat together tonight, since the Sully's arrived and it is quite an occasion to party. She is helping some people who took over the job of cooking for all and helped setting up everything in the middle of the village Awa'atlu.

"Leyra!" Tsireya called out, while she sat in a group with Aonung, Rotxo, Neteyam, Lo'ak and Kiri. "Come here. Eat with us."

As Leyra made her way over to the group she grabbed some food and sat down between Aonung and Neteyam. They all started to eat while talking.

"So why do yo came to our clan?" Rotxo asked the Omaticaya kids.

"Well, you know the war with the sky people a few years ago?" Neteyam asked and everybody nods. "The sky people came back a year ago. And the man who caused the war should have been dead, but somehow he came back as an Avatar." He continued.

"We tried to fight but then my brother got hurt and father decided that we should leave home." Lo'ak added.

"And we got kidnapped by the sky people because of your dumbass Lo'ak! Our parents had to save us." Kiri said.  "They got Spider! I hope he is okay." she said worried.

"What's a Spider?"

"He is a friend. He is a human, but he grew up  with us in the forest." Lo'ak answered. "The sky people took him with them and we didn't had enough time to save him."

"I'm glad you are okay." Tsireya smiled at them.

Leyra stayed silent the entire time but she felt sorry for them. They are so young and had to go through bad stuff already. She can't imagine how they are truly feeling. She glanced at Neteyeam on her right and he was already looking at her. She gave him a small smile, that said she is there for him if he wanted to talk about his more. He returned the smile and his eyes travel down to her thigh were Aonung's hand rested. Are they together? Mates even? He thought, but wouldn't ask because it might come across as rude. Leyra put her hand over Aonung's.

He had to know.

"Are you two together?" he blurted out, looking directly to both of them.

Tsireya started laughing. "Hell no! My brother is trying years for her to like him."

"Hey! That's not true!" Aonung said but he was blushing slightly.

"No, we are not together." Leyra finally said and gives Neteyam a reassuring smile.

"Not yet." Aonung mumbles but everybody heard him anyway.

Leyra rolled her eyes. "Don't be so sure about that, Aonung. Maybe I've got an eye on someone else." She smirked and looked at everyone in the circle. Her gaze makes everyone kind of flustered so they all blushed slightly.

"I gotta go, see you tomorrow for your first lesson, forest people." She said and makes her way to her Marui. Neteyam's attention was still in the direction where she left and a slap from Lo'ak on his back, brought his attention back to the group.
