My SFW entry for the Witcher Trick or Treat Event!

--

Jaskier was probably the most excited about fall, and the fall festival coming into town. He was determined to make sure Ciri had a better childhood than all three of her parents combined so while he may be a little overboard at least he cared. That was what Yennefer and Geralt tried to remind themselves when they watched Jaskier run about the house making sure everyone had a nice warm outfit and Ciri had a cute but warm one.

The older two of their throuple were kind enough to oblige and dress in their warm coats for the fall festival. Jaskier himself had his own nice comfy clothes on and now it was time to get the toddler into her comfy but cute outfit. Changing the three year old into anything was a three person job. Jaskier distracted her while Geralt and Yennefer forced her into clothes because for some odd reason their little princess really didn't appreciate being dressed.

Jaskier held up his hands with a smile singing songs to her while she watched him dance in her nursery while Yennefer worked on undressing her before she began to scream and Geralt had her warm underclothing to put on right after. Once she had a warm sleeved onesie Jaskier brought out the outfit he had planned for her. "A pumpkin?" Yennefer questioned seeing the little costume Jaskier had in his hand.

"She is our little pumpkin, I thought it was cute and she can wear it over her jacket too. I want her to be warm but adorable. Plus when she looks back and pictures I'm sure she is going to love them." Jaskier grinned as he managed to get the outfit on over the squirming three year old. She sat on her changing table with her little orange socks and a green headband over the top of her little curls. Geralt couldn't help but smile looking over her new clothes.

"Alright yeah.. Shes adorable." Geralt agreed while Jaskier and Yennefer both cooed and snapped pictures of the toddler who kicked her feet happily.

"Time to go to the festival." Jaskier cheered happily as they all headed to the car. Geralt watched Jaskier struggle to buckle their toddler into her carseat and couldn't help but chuckle as his husband soon gave him puppy dog eyes asking for help to get her buckled while Yennefer checked the festival's website.

"There is a petting zoo." Yennefer mused as she continued to scroll on the website. "Apple picking, and some toddler centric corn thingies."

"Corn thingies?" Geralt questioned as he followed the GPS's instructions.

"You know, like ball pits?" Yennefer asked.

"Yes."

"Ball pits but they're full of corn." Yennefer replied.

Geralt narrowed his eyes but shrugged his shoulders trying not to ask too many questions. He wasn't the best at this kind of thing, he didn't usually make the suggestion to go out like this. He preferred to stay home with his wife, husband, and child.

Ciri had been a surprise to say the least, Yennefer was unable to carry and Geralt thought he was unable to sire a child but when Jaskier ended up pregnant they were overjoyed. Jaskier was very happy to show off his family to anyone and everyone and was desperate to give Ciri a good and happy life.

None of her parents had ever had it good and this was something they knew they could give to her. Pulling into the festival they were quick to get out and go to the front, Jaskier made sure to get every photo opportunity they could. None of them had photos of themselves as a child and Jaskier was again determined to ensure they had photos of Ciri throughout her childhood.

Ciri accepted a lot more of her parents fussing then most toddlers would, Jaskier was probably the worst of them all but he was the most determined to ensure Ciri had a better life then the three of them ever had.

Walking about the festival they came to the petting zoo. A man with a few scars on his face smiled welcoming them to the festival. "Would your little one like to pet the goats?"

Geralt nodded taking Ciri from Jaskier who was ready with the camera. Yennefer smirked kissing Jaskier's forehead. "Don't forget to be present in the moment too."

Jaskier smiled softly and set the camera in his bag and lowered himself down to help Ciri with petting the goats. The child was happy to play with them and the man who ran the petting zoo couldn't help but smile. "You have a nice family." He remarked watching Yennefer and Jaskier with Ciri.

"They're the best," Geralt agreed. "My husband and wife are the best parents our little girl could ask for."

"They're lucky to have you too," the man smiled, "I'm sure of it. I've seen plenty of families come around here. Hardly any of the dads especially strong men that look like you, participate with their families or even come around. I see them come in and then they stay around the alcohol carts. Their mommas carry them and have to chase them around. You're good, you stay with them. You stay around. Participate."

Geralt smiled, he was happy to have this, have them.

"They're the best," he grinned, "thank you for that..."

"Sometimes dads forget, it's good to remember. Names Eskel. I'm a farmhand here. She may be little now but you should come back around in a few years and take her to the haunted maze and stuff. Your family may enjoy the corn maze that's good, easy too. They give you maps to find your way out."

Geralt nodded. "Thanks Eskel.. We will have to come back around."

"We do reindeer rides and yuletide events during the winter as well."

Jaskier heard that from his spot on the floor still holding Ciri close. "Hot coco?"

"I'm sure they do Jask." Yennefer chuckled.

"We do." Eskel explained. "There is even some here at one of the booths."

Jaskier looked giddy and excited and they were quick to get him some, thanking Eskel for letting Ciri pet the goats. "This is just what we needed." Jaskier smiled, giving Ciri some whip cream off the top of his.

Geralt held Ciri in his arms and Yennefer around the shoulder with a smile on his face. "I'm glad we came, really glad we came."

Jaskier smiled, he loved having his family close. Loved being able to have his family close, and doing something fun. The fall festival was a blast, they got lost even with the map and Geralt's tracking skills in the maze for over an hour. Had pumpkin pie and enjoyed the live music before Ciri fell asleep snuggled into Jaskier's arms. "She was the cutest pumpkin today."

"She is the cutest."
