Lena loved her wine. She had a huge collection of it in the living room that she was always adding new wines that she tasted on her business trip. Her favorite holiday was New Years as she always got to choose on the wine the two of you would be drinking to bring in the new year.

You didn't have a love for wine as Lena did but you still enjoyed it. You always looked forward to what she brought out for the new year. Especially this year, considering that she had been going on and on about how this was a new wine that was quite expensive and extremely limited.

It was a minute before the countdown and Lena was going around the room, pouring everyone the wine that she had chosen. She poured herself last and then headed to place the bottle back in her collection.

Since Lauren was almost 13. The two of you decided to let her join in on the toasting. Giving her grape juice that looked like the wine that Lena had poured. Being her curious self and wanting to see why she was the only one that got one from a different bottle, Lauren switched out Lena's glass for hers.

"Thank you for joining us on bringing in the new year. I can't imagine a better way to bring the year 2020 than spending it with my friends and family. I love you all"

She raised her glass and then turned to face you.

"And I love you. I can't wait to see what the year brings for us, Darling."

The countdown strikes 0 and everyone takes a drink of their glass. Only for Lena to stop drinking hers and turn to look at Lauren when she realizes it tasted nothing like the wine she was expecting. Lauren just gives her a smile and holds out her glass

"More wine please"
