Prompt by: MachoNachoKennedy

(Phone Convo)

"Lena Luthor, CEO/Driver, at your service! How can I help you, ma'am?"

She answers while driving.

You smile at the answer before replying.

"I'm here!"

"What?! You're early?!"

"My plane landed earlier than I thought."

"Pfft! As if! Admit it! You miss me and you couldn't wait to see me darling."

"You missed me too idiot! Admit it!"

"Fine. I'm almost there, babe!"

You looked around the exit to see the familiar car but can't seem to spot it anywhere.

"I'm waiting! I can't see you."

"Ha! I see you now."

Lena says excitedly.

"I see you too!"

You hung up as the car parked besides you. As it stops, Kara and Alex get out to hug you.

"(y/n)! You're finally here!"

Alex takes your luggage as Kara continues hugging on to you tightly.

"I missed you so much!"

"I missed the two of you so much too."

You can hear Alex yell from the car as she misses you. She comes back to give you a proper hug as Kara lets go.

"Love the hair by the way."

You nudge her hand away as she tries to mess it up.

"Not so fast, I learned some move Danvers."

Alex lets out a loud laugh as she makes her way back to her seat. "We'll see about that."

As the three of you head out, Lena parks her car as well. Getting out as she sees Emily.

"Hey!"

Emily hugged Lena as she stood before her.

"I missed you. How are you?"

She asks as she attempts to lean in and kiss Lena. Lena dodges out of her way, taking her luggage and putting it inside her car.

"Good. Lets go now."

(A day later)

Both you and Lena are dreading the morning. More Lena than you but the feeling was still mutual. You forced the meeting out of your mind as you got ready for the day. It was just another meeting and only a meeting.

Lena had a much similar morning but had a quick chat with Sam. Needing some help to deal with her nerves about the meeting. The two of them lose track of time until Jess comes in to tell them that it was time. They both thank her and head to the room.

As usual, you're late but it doesn't bother you as you greet everyone, including Lena. It's not until later in the meeting where everything goes to shit. You and Lena are arguing about pointless shit that shouldn't even be argued about. The board members are all too scared to speak up as they've all dealt with the two of you in this mood. Sam tries to intervene but neither of you are listening.

"You know, I'm sure we can do a lot better than to trust out company with some..."

You had it. You weren't going to take any more of her shit.

"Trust?!" You say a little louder than her. "You want to talk about trust with me? Fine, Ms. Luthor. Let's talk about trust." The room gets quiet as the two of you stay quiet. Lena, unsure of what to say and you, unsure of how to deal with this. You knew that you should've declined their offer. Sam eventually speaks up, knowing that the two of you were going to get nowhere.

"Um..everyone.."

You turn to Sam, practically glaring at her. You felt a little bad as she tried to sink into her seat but it didn't stop you from saying what you wanted to say.

"With all due respect, Ms. Arias, I don't think Ms. Luthor needs me help. I don't need to here. I only came here as a favor for you but I can clearly see that I am not wanted her. Please, excuse me and thank you for your time."

You grabbed your things and headed out of the room. Ignoring all the stares that were being directed to you.

"Lena!! She's our only chance. She is the only one that Mr. Tanaka trusts. We need her."

Sam yells to Lena, starting another yelling match.

"I don't think I can do it Sam. That's my ex-wife. I don't need to be reminded of my failed marriage."

Sam sighs and nods. She wasn't going to force her friend to do anything.

"Just think about it Lena. Lives are at stake here."

She dismisses the board members, and leaves with them to give Lena some space to think about it. As soon as everyone is gone, Lena realizes that she needs to put her emotions aside. She runs after you.

"(Y/n)! Come back to the meeting."

You don't turn around as you hear her heels from behind. Her words make you scoff. How dare she demand something from you. You continue walking, ignoring her as you open the back of your car to put your things in. Lena finally catches up to you, slamming the trunk closed so you can't put anything in.

"Pleas, come back. Lets talk about this." You move her hand away so you can open the trunk again, only for it to be pushed down again. "Just come back, please."

You stop trying to open it, simply turning around and leaning in really close to her.

"Do you really want me to come back?" You asked her with a smile. Growing wider as she nods. "Then tell me that you need me, Lena. Just a few words and I'm at your disposal. Here, I'll even help you. 'I need you. I can't make it without you, (y/n).' Come on, say it Lena." You mock her.

Lena was having a mental struggle. It was humiliating being treated like this. If it was anyone else, she wouldn't think twice about burying you in the dirt but this was you.

"No."

"Okay." You gave her a smile and headed to the driver's seat. "No problem." You quickly opened the door and climbed in, once again ignoring the stares you were getting.

Lena knew this was going to be her only chance. She had to swallow her pride and just do as you wished. It was just a few words. She could do it.

"Fine!"

You ignore her and start up your car, getting ready to pull out of the spot. Only to be stopped by her again.

"Fine! I can't be without you! I need you, (y/n). Is that enough?!"

You climbed out of the car, forcing Lena to step back. You stop in front of her, leaning down to whisper in her ear.

"Was that hard for you to say? I'll see you tomorrow morning then."

Lena stands there, completely embarrassed about what happened as she watches you leave. She holds her head high as she walks back to her office. The two of you went about your day as if nothing had happened earlier in the morning.
