Louis's POV:

I woke up to my phone buzzing with notifications.

"What is it now?" I groaned, rubbing my eyes.

I grabbed my phone and turned it on to find that Tiffany was texting me like crazy.

I looked at the clock and it said 6am.

God, it was too early for this. I thought.

I texted back to Tiffany, It's early, imma sleep for a bit more.

Oh, She responded. Well you should eat with me for breakfast!

Uh sure, I responded, then laid down and went to sleep for 30 more minutes.

30 minutes later, I woke up, got dressed, took a shower, grabbed my backpack, then headed to the cafeteria to get breakfast.

I waited in line for a croissant sandwich, then when I received it, I turned to go sit down, as Tiffany approached me.

"Hey!" She exclaimed, smiling.

"Oh, hey." I responded.

"So....are you gonna sit with us?" Tiffany asked.

"What do you mean us..?" I started, as Ella walked towards Tiffany and I.

"Hey! You got your breakfast! Great! Now let's go sit down and eat." Ella smiled, walking towards her table, with Tiffany and I following.

I cleared my throat.

Tiffany glanced towards me.

"Um, do you know how Lexi is doing? I haven't seen her since yesterday." I asked.

"I don't know, I haven't seen her since yesterday too. But let's not worry about her right now, 'k?" Tiffany sat down beside Ella and gestured for me to sit down next to her.

Reluctantly, I sat down beside Tiffany and started eating my croissant sandwich.

From the corner of my eye, I saw Lexi enter the cafeteria.

I started to raise my hand to wave to her, but she avoided my gaze.

Ella looked over to me. "Aren't you hungry?"

"I am." I replied.

"But you barely touched your croissant! You don't like it?" She frowned.

"No, the food here is great! I'm just not that hungry right now, that's all." I chuckled nervously.

"You should eat, it's healthier if you do." Tiffany pouted.

I nodded and ate my croissant so Ella and Tiffany would stop worrying about me.

When breakfast was over, I headed towards my next class with Tiffany leaning onto my shoulder.

My shoulder was starting to ache, to be honest.

"Tiffany we're here." I told her, as she nodded.

I headed towards my original spot, but Tiffany pulled on my sweater.

I turned around and looked at Tiffany with a questioning glance.

"Sit here." She insisted, so I agreed and sat down to her left.

Lexi came to class a few minutes later. sitting on the right to Tiffany.

I watched her as she glanced over to the spot I used to always sit in. She frowned, then looked around and saw me.

I think she was a bit relieved to see that I didn't get lost along the way here, but I couldn't tell for sure.

Our History teacher gave us a speech and showed us a powerpoint on past England's kings.

I hated history. There was no point in learning old, dead kings!

Ugh, this is boring, I thought.

I glanced at our teacher, who was still looking at the board, explaining about some king.

I glanced back at my phone, then sneakily fished my phone out of my bag, then hid it in my pocket.

The history teacher turned around to look at the class to make sure nobody was confused, then continued on with the lesson.

I lowered my brightness down, then scrolled through Instagram.

While I was on Instagram, I got a text from Lexi on Instagram.

I clicked the notification and saw Lexi's message.

Hey, it said.

Oh heyyy, I responded.

Sorry about earlier, Tiffany thinks I hang out with you too much so I thought she'd be mad if I ate breakfast with you again. She wrote back.

I frowned. But why does she care? I'm ur friend....

Lexi sent back a shrugging shoulder emoji.

idk but u can't tell her!!! She messaged.

Alright, I agreed.

Now focus on the lesson ;) Lexi typed back, as I grinned, glancing at her.

She grinned back, then put her phone away.

I did the same, knowing I should probably be paying attention to the lesson if I wanted to get a decent grade on future tests.

After what seemed like forever, History ended.

I got up and stretched, then grabbed my bag.

"Hey Louis you have Math next, right?" Tiffany asked.

I nodded. "Yeah, you're in the same class as me, right?"

Tiffany smiled. "Yeah! Could you help me with math? I just suck at math so much!"

I shook my head. "You don't suck at math, you just need some practice, that's all."

Tiffany tugged my arm. "Well then, let's go!"

"Let's wait for Lexi." I commented, as Tiffany looked annoyed.

"Lexi can come herself now let's get good spots to sit in math!" Tiffany hauled me away as I sent an apologetic look to Lexi.

Lexi nodded the slightest bit, almost unnoticeable, but I noticed and sent her a half-smile, before I headed to math with Tiffany.

In math, we did unit rates. Simple, really, but it was because we had a sub.

"Louis how do you do this one?" Tiffany asked, bringing her paper towards me.

"Oh, you just divide this by that and that will get you the number of days the car can drive with that gas." I explained to her.

Tiffany smiled. "I understand! Thanks Louis, you're the best!"

"You're welcome." I said, and looked over to Lexi.

I put my thumbs up, to the side, then down, as a way to ask her how she's doing.

"I'm done." Lexi mouthed to me.

I smiled. "Same." I mouthed back, before the sub interrupted us.

"Mr.....Partridge, was it? Are you done your work?" She asked, as I nodded.

"Well, stop making weird mouth signals to others and just do your work from other classes instead of interrupting other people's work time." The sub commented.

"Sorry, Ms.T." I apologized, running my fingers through my tangled hair, as she simply nodded at me.

After Tiffany asking me a bunch of other simple questions, math was finally over. It was recess, so we had a few minutes to eat a snack and hang out with our friends.

I desperately wanted a snack, but Tiffany was basically clinging onto me and I didn't have the guts to tell her I wanted some space to get a snack, so I just listened to Tiffany and Ella gossip until the bell rang.

Tiffany had different classes than me this period, so she waved as she headed towards another class.

I sighed, because although I didn't want to be rude, Tiffany was kind of annoying.

I had English next, so I headed to English, where I saw Lexi on the way.

"Boo!" I shook her shoulders as she gasped, then rolled her eyes.

"That was not funny, Partridge." She  lightly punched my chest.

"Partridge, eh? You made a nickname for me?" I teased, as she blushed.

"Lou, Partridge, Louis, all the same thing." She nudged me.

"Alright then Lex." I grinned, as she shook her head, laughing, as we sat down for English.
