Lexi's POV:

As a part of the deal, Louis called Jake and invited Hannah and Jake to meet us at the amusement park over the phone a while ago.

I fiddled with my fingers, while Louis was hugging me from behind. "Hey, Louis?" I questioned, averting my gaze to Louis.

"Hmm?" He hummed, looking at my eyes.

"I just wanted to say that, you know, thanks for....everything," I murmured.

Louis chuckled. "You say this as if I'm going to leave you anytime soon. Besides, we haven't even done everything in Paris yet. We still have the rest of today and tomorrow, remember?"

"Yeah, yeah, I know. I just...didn't expect to be here, with you out of all people, you know?"

"Lexi Roberts, are you saying you don't want to be here with me right now?" Louis teased with a smirk on his face.

"I definitely don't want to be here with you, who said I wanted to?"

"From what your facial expressions tell me, you definitely seem happy being here." Louis smiled.

"Observing my facial expressions now, huh? You have got to admit, Partridge, you're most definitely falling for me...hard."

"Okay, and what if I am? What are you going to do about that?" He questioned, raising an eyebrow.

Without thinking, I pulled myself closer to him, and suddenly, my lips were on his. I had surprised both of us by kissing him, but nonetheless, he kissed back almost instantly.

I closed my eyes as his soft lips pressed onto mine, while I felt my knees getting weaker and weaker by the second. Hesitantly, I brought my hand to behind his neck and deepened the kiss.

I felt Louis smile into the kiss, as I felt his arm gently wrap around my waist. Our lips moved in sync, as I moved my hand from his neck to his hair.

His fluffy, brown, soft, messy hair. I internally smiled at the feeling....until I remembered I needed to breathe.

Must. Breathe. Air!

Breathless, I pulled away from our kiss and opened my eyes.

I opened my mouth to talk. "That was-"

"Incredible! Amazing! spectacular!" I heard a voice and slow claps come from behind me. I turned around and I saw that it was Jake, while Hannah was frantically trying to block his mouth.

Jake was running away from Hannah, and a few moments later, Jake was in front of me, grinning.

"You guys never fail to make me feel more single!" Jake applauded, as Hannah also arrived, hanging one arm on Jake's shoulder.

"Shut the...shut the fuck up, Jake." Hannah panted.

"You're just jealous." I heard Louis mutter.

"Mhm. Jealous...You know, you'd be the type of couple on TikTok I'd say aw to and then block-" Jake sarcastically stated, as I interrupted him. "Thanks, Jake. I'll say the same thing to you when you get your partner too, so don't worry!" I smiled in satisfaction, as that seemed to keep him quiet.

"Anyway, now that's out of the way, can we go into the amusement park now?" I asked. They all seemed to nod, so we lined up to get the tickets and later on finally entered the amusement park.

"Okay, so what about this? Since we have around 6 hours in total, I'll take Lexi for three hours, and Jake you can go on rides with Louis or do something. And after the three hours, Jake and I will go on rides, and the two lovebirds can hang out together. Does that sound good?" Hannah asked as we all seemed to agree.

"Great! See you boys in three hours! And we're meeting at the Ferris wheel, don't forget that!" Hannah exclaimed as she waved bye.

I smiled at Louis and waved a bye, and I pulled out a map of the amusement park from my pocket.

"Where to first?" Hannah asked as I pointed towards the wooden rollercoaster section on the map. Hannah smirked. "Sounds like a plan."

-----------

The line for the wooden rollercoaster was horrendously long.

Since the wooden rollercoaster was the most popular ride at the amusement park, although it was a weekday, the lineup was still very long compared to the other rides.

Eventually, however, it was finally Hannah and I's turn to get on.

"Two to a cart, please! No more than two people. Make sure you're all buckled in and we'll make sure you're tightly secured. Thank you!" The ride operator said into the microphone.

I stepped inside a cart, as Hannah sat down beside me.

A worker quickly checked our seatbelts, and we got on.

Nervous, excited. Nervous, excited. Nervous, excited. Nervous, excited. I repeated those two words in my head until our ride went down the first drop.

--------------

Louis's POV:

After Hannah and Lexi waved goodbye to Jake and me, Jake and I decided to go on a few rides.

We did bumper cars, the Viking, and a water ride before we decided to sit down across from each other on a bench and Jake bought me us each a burger. I told him I'd at least pay for my own, but Jake insisted that I should use my money to do nice things with Lexi instead.

I hadn't really talked to Jake on my own, so I used this time to get to know him a bit better. It turned out that he and I had lots in common.

Jake had already finished his burger by the time I finished mine. When we cleaned up our table, and I saw that it was almost time to head to the Ferris Wheel to meet up with Lexi and Hannah.

"Should we get going to the Ferris Wheel?" I asked reluctantly, not trying to sound rude.

"Oh yeah, of course," Jake answered.

Jake and I headed to the Ferris Wheel. Fortunately, the Ferris Wheel was tall, thus easy to spot.

On our way, Jake put his hand on my shoulder. "Buy Lexi some cotton candy. She is so obsessed with them! And even if she tells you it's fine, insist you'll buy it for her; she's too shy to ask people to buy things for her, but I promise you, she'll love you even more if you buy some for her, alright?"

I smiled. "Thanks for the tip, Jake, I'll make sure to buy her some."

When we arrived, I saw Lexi in the midst of the many people around her.

I smiled, seeing her hazel green eyes wander around aimlessly until they landed on mine.

I walked closer to Lexi, pushing past the crowd, till I was right in front of her.

Jake was right behind me, and he too was in front of Hannah.

"So...Shall we see you lovers in three hours?" Jake smirked. Lexi rolled her eyes. "Yeah, whatever. We'll meet outside; the place we all met up with each other earlier."

Once again, I waved bye, as I held Lexi's warm hands in mine.

"So where to first?" She asked.

I pointed to a sign in front of us. "Haunted house?"

She hesitated, "Uh, yeah! But wouldn't that be a little...y-you know, um, boring?"

I gave her a blank look until I finally understood—Lexi was scared.

"Aw, is little Lex scared?" I teased, as she responded by punching me in the stomach.

I clutched my stomach in pain, then gave her the best fine-looking face I could.

"You- You definitely know how to punch, alright." I coughed.

"Obviously I know how to punch, I'm a bad bitch."  Lexi pulled my hand to the Haunted house.

"Wait, are you sure? You don't have to go if you don't want to, Lexi." I let her know. Lexi shook her head, "I want to do this."

After waiting in line for a bit, we finally got into the Haunted house. It was one of those walk-through Haunted houses, with fake skeletons and everything.

When we finally walked into the house, a skeleton popped out. I flinched in surprise, while Lexi remained calm.

After going through the Haunted house, we went out the exit and Lexi spotted an arcade ahead of us. There were several booths for things such as the shooting games, the classic Ladder Climb, the Ball and Bucket toss, and more.

"We could do some of those if you want?" Lexi suggested, and I nodded in agreement.

We played some arcade games, did some throwing games, and finally headed towards the Ladder Climb, with Lexi following behind me.

We lined up, and since there were three ladders, the line moved quickly, and soon, it was our turn. I turned to Lexi with a smirk on my face. "The first person to fall has to buy a treat for the other person?"

Lexi smirked back. "It's on, loverboy."

I paused in surprise.

Loverboy?

When Lexi started the countdown, I hurriedly got ready.

"3...2...1.....go!" She shouted.

I got on the ladder, trying to keep balance, but I couldn't make it halfway before falling.

Lexi somehow managed to barely reach the middle of the ladder before too, falling.

"Loser!" Lexi smiled with victory.

"Whatever..." I mumbled as we headed towards the food area.

"I'll buy you some cotton candy," I said, as Lexi beamed with happiness.

I stood in line for the cotton candy, with Lexi beside me.

"So....new nickname for me, huh?" I asked with a grin. Lexi tilted her head in confusion. "Hmm?"

"You said 'loverboy'." I reminded her.

"Oh yeah...that was mostly to distract you so I could win," Lexi smiled, "but I could keep the nickname if you like it?"

"Sure, I like it," I paused, thinking of a name to call her, "love? Darling? Whatever works."

"Both are fine...loverboy." Lexi teased.

I shook my head, smiling, looking at her eyes then down to her lips.

"Louis Partridge, don't you dare-" Lexi jokingly warned, as I gave her a quick peck on her soft, pink lips.

Lexi's lips were pressed tightly in disappointment.

The person ahead of us moved to the cashier, and we were now first in line.

"You weren't finished, were you?" Lexi asked, gently grabbing my jaw and pulling me closer to her.

I opened my mouth to tell her we had to be prepared to order soon, but she used that as an advantage and slipped her tongue inside my mouth.

I kissed her back for a few seconds before the cashier called us up.

I quickly pulled away, and walked up to the cashier, pulling Lexi's arm with me.

"Uh, can we get one cotton candy? Any colour is fine." Lexi told the cashier.

"That's going to be 4 pounds." The cashier replied as I handed him the money.

The cashier handed me the cotton candy, as he shooed us away.

We walked away from the store as Lexi started to laugh. "He was definitely annoyed at us for holding up the line."

I laughed, as Lexi ripped a piece of the cotton candy.

"A piece for you." She said as she put a piece in my mouth.

"Why thank you, madam!" I cheerfully responded as we speedily finished the cotton candy.

--------------

Wandering through the amusement park, it was getting pretty late. Lexi yawned, then checked the time on her phone. 10 pm.

"It's almost time to leave now, Partridge," Lexi said, showing me the time, "we better start heading out."

"Alright. Come on, Lex." I said as she put her hand in mine.

"Your hand is warm." She whispered tiredly, leaning her head onto my shoulder.

"Are you tired?" I asked as Lexi nodded her head.

We exited the amusement park and I found a bench nearby so we could both sit down.

A while later, I saw Jake and Hannah exiting amongst the crowd, so I texted Jake that Lexi and I were sitting on a bench, and they came over to us.

"Did you guys have fun?" Hannah asked, and Lexi and I both nodded.

"It's only 10 o'clock, why does Lexi look so tired?" Jake asked.

"I walked a lot, okay? And I haven't had coffee all day." Lexi replied, annoyed.

"Sleepy Lexi is scary Lexi." Jake muttered, Lexi replied, "I heard that Jake, shut the fuck up. Now let's get back to the hotel so I can get some sleep."

A/N:

Hi guys!! It's been so long since I last posted a chapter!

It's been what, almost three weeks??

I've lost a lot of motivation for everything over spring break so I'm sorry about the super late update!!

This chapter is a bit longer than the other chapters :)

The next chapter is unfortunately the last chapter for Falling. However, I might (NOT a guarantee I'll make a sequel) post the sequel to Falling if I get some ideas of what to do for the sequel!

If I did make a sequel, would you guys read it?

Anyway, hope you enjoyed it, please vote!!! <3
