Lexi's POV:

"Lexi Roberts, we're going to be late for first period! Get up because we aren't going to be waiting for you!"

I opened my eyes from the sudden noise. Just as I was about to lie down to get a few more minutes of sleep, the door burst open.

"Lexi!" A voice whined impatiently from somewhere in my room.

I sighed and got up. "Coming, I'm coming..." I yawned in exhaustion. School was going to be the death of me.

"Finally!"

I rolled my eyes in sarcasm. "You know you can leave without me, Tiffany."

Tiffany scoffed. "I could, but we have class together and besides, we're getting a new kid today, remember?"

I furrowed my eyebrows, then opened my mouth in realization, "Oh yeah, I remember you telling me something about that..."

"Well, the new kid is already here, and Hannah and Jake are waiting outside for you! Now hurry up!" Tiffany exclaimed.

I widened my eyes. "You brought them here as well?! Why didn't you tell me earlier?" I groaned as I quickly got my uniform out of my wardrobe.

Tiffany grinned, "Hurry up and change! I'll be waiting for you outside!"

As soon as Tiffany shut the door, I changed into my uniform. I looked towards the mirror and stood up straight. I hated this uniform. A knock on the door interrupted my thoughts. "Lexi, I'm serious! Hurry up!"

I groaned quietly with annoyance but opened the door. "There she is! Come on, let's go!"Tiffany said and grabbed my wrist to pull me along. "Sorry for the wait,"  I quickly muttered to Tiffany and our two other friends.

The closer I walked towards the lobby, the more people there seemed to be. In curiosity, I asked. "Why are there so many people?"

"I don't know, but I heard he's cute!" winked Hannah, one of my friends.

I rolled my eyes. "A cute boy? In a private London school? Please." I laughed.

After a bit of small talk, the crowd slowly disappeared, until we could see the new student inside the office.

"He seems cute." Tiffany hummed.

"He should hang out with us!" Jake said rather excitedly.

"He should, but I'm sure he'll have tons of friends by the time its lunch. I mean, did you see the amount of people who were practically at his knees? It's funny. They don't even know what he's like. For all they know, he could be some real jerk." I stated.

"A real hot jerk," Hannah mumbled.

"Hannah, not you too!" I groaned and looked at my phone. "Shit, I'm going to be late for class. I'll catch you guys later."

When I arrived at History, my first-period class, Tiffany sat beside me and I got my textbook out and began to take notes.

In the middle of class, our school's vice-principal knocked and opened the door.

"Lexi Roberts? Can I speak with you?" She asked. I slowly nodded in confusion as to why she was calling me, but I got up and headed towards her.

"Collect your textbooks and backpack as well, you won't be in History class for today."

Tiffany gave me a questioning glance. I shrugged in response and got my things, and followed the vice principal.

"As you probably already know, there is a new student at our school that arrived just today. Since he got here a bit later than most other students, we needed somebody to give him a tour so he can settle in well." She explained.

The new kid got a lot of attention from the girls already, I'm sure he'll 'settle in' perfectly fine, I thought, but instead, I simply nodded. Ms. Thompson, my vice principal, opened her mouth to continue on, but I interrupted before she could say any more. "Sorry to interrupt Ms. Thompson, but why exactly was I the one who needs to give him the tour?" I asked.

Ms. Thompson smiled, as though she had expected me to ask this question. "Well, for starters, your principal, Mr. Williams and I decided it would be best that the person next to his dorm would be better than a random student, and it just so happens that you are his dorm-neighbor."

I was too focused on the conversation to notice that I was now standing in front of the new boy. "Lexi this is Louis, Louis this is Lexi. Lexi, you are excused for the rest of History class today, so use this time to show Louis around." Ms. Thompson said, gesturing for us to get going.

"Sure thing." I glanced at the new boy, Louis. "Come on new boy, let's go."
