Chris' POV

"Can't sleep?" I heard someone say. The person sat beside me.

I looked at the person. Oh, it's Darby.

"Yeah. I've been thinking a lot lately." I said.

"What are you thinking about? It seems to bother you." He asked as he looked at me.

"Things." I said.

He sighed.

"I wish the rain would stop." He said while looking outside the window.

"I wish it won't." I said to him.

"I really love the rain. It makes me feel calm." I added as he just chuckled.

"You're weird but I like weird. Weird people are unique." He said. It made me blush.

I smiled at him.

"At least, not just Hunter likes my weirdness." I said and chuckled.

My eyes are feeling heavy. I lean onto his shoulder and closed my eyes. I heard him say 'good night'. After that, everything's gone.

Morning came as the sunshine hit my face. I felt someone's arm wrapped on my waist. I looked at the person.

It's Darby.

I realized that we fell asleep on the couch. He must've carried me here.

Darby started to move and wake up. He slowly opened his eyes and smiled at me.

"Good Morning. Did you sleep well?" He said.

I just smiled and nod at him as a reply.

I heard footsteps getting louder.

"Good Morning lovebirds!" Jake said. He is one of Hunter's friends.

Darby just threw a pillow at him and hit him in the face.

"Shut up." Darby said.

I started getting up from thr couch and proceed to the kitchen. He did the same as well.

When I reached the kitchen, everyone is staring at me and Darby.

"Uhm... are you guys okay?" I asked awkwardly.

"I smell something fishy." Hunter said as he was smirking at Darby.

"Of course you will smell something fishy because you're eating tuna, Hunter." Darby said sarcastically and rolled his eyes.

We ate our breakfast in silence.

Moments later...

"Hey guys, want to go somewhere? It's pretty boring here." Hunter asked us.

Everyone just nodded except for me.

"I can't." I said. Everyone looked at me.

"Why?" Darby asked.

"I'm busy. I need to finish reading the book I borrowed." I said.

"Can you please come with us?" He pleaded.

"Please, please, please?" He added.

I looked at him for a moment.

"Fine." I said in a boring tone.

"YES!" He jumped as he said that.

I giggled at his behavior. He's so childish.

After breakfast, we all went home to change our clothes and meet at the mall.

I took a shower and brush my teeth.

After that, I decided to wear a skinny jean and a red shirt.

Currently, we're at the mall. And when I say we, I'm left with Darby. I'm not complaining. He's a cool guy but I am not really close to him.

We went to the bookstore and I've been looking at the books. I came across with the book "Paper Towns by John Green". I really want to read this book. I looked at the price and got shocked. It's very expensive.

I sighed and put it back in the shelf. I really want that book.

Hunter texted us to meet them at McDonald's. Darby told me to go ahead because he has something to do.

When I reached there I saw them sitting.

"Where's Darby?" They asked.

"Uhm... he said he has something to do." I replied.

"Okay." Jake said.

A waiter came over and asked for our order. All of us agreed for a McBurger and a McFloat.

Moments later, our orders arrived. Darby arrived too. He was carrying a bag.

"Hey, glad you made it." Hunter said as they did a handshake.

"Where did you go anyway?" He asked.

"To the bookstore and to Hot Topic" He replied.

"What did you buy?" Hunter asked.

Darby reached for something in the bag and gave it to me.

It was wrapped in a paper.

I opened it and...
