Kai felt someone shake his body and he slowly drowsed awake. He turned around and stretched his arms, opening one of his eyes to see Nicolas smiling down at him.

"Sleep well?" He asked running his fingers through Kai's messy hair.

"Mhmm. What time is it?" Kai groaned slowly sitting up and leaning his head against Nicolas's shoulder.  Nicolas wrapped his arms around him and pulled him closer so he could comfortably nestle in his arms.

"It's 4 in the afternoon." He answered making Kai's eyes widened.

"You must have been so bored, I'm sorry." He told him but Nicolas shook him off.

"I wasn't don't worry. Rex came by so I went out for a bit to talk to him and then I read the book you got me for Christmas." He said and Kai smiled.

"Rex also managed to make sure we can go out without my mom finding out." Nicolas smiled and got up making Kai groan and fall back on the bed.

"Go get ready baby, I'm taking you out." Nicolas chuckled, pulling Kai up by grabbing his wrists before pushing him towards the bathroom.

Kai went to the bathroom and freshened up before going back out and looked through his bags for an appropriate outfit. He didn't really know what to wear so he settled for a red oversized turtleneck and black pants. He turned around and smiled at Nicolas who was staring at him intently.

"This good?" He asked holding up the clothes and Nicolas nodded, getting up and grabbing the clothes from Kai.

"Everything you wear is good." He said and Kai grinned.

Nicolas grabbed Kai's shirt and swiftly pulled it over his head. He grabbed the turtleneck and helped Kai into it making the boy smile at the attention.

Kai changed into his pants himself despite Nicolas's scowl and then he hugged him and gave him a quick kiss before turning around to get his jacket. When he zipped it up he walked over to Nicolas who also slid on his jacket.

"Let's go?" Kai asked but Nicolas shook his head.

"There's one thing missing." He said and Kai tilted his head in confusion.

Nicolas grabbed his own bag and after searching through it for a few moments he found what he was looking for. He walked back to Kai, holding his beige scarf and then wrapped it around Kai till it was covering his nose.

"Don't want you getting cold hm?" He said and then bend down until they were eye level and slid down the scarf to reveal Kai's lips which he left a soft, lingering kiss and then pulled the scarf back over his nose.

Kai was a blushing mess but he couldn't keep the smile off his face at how sweet Nicolas was being.

They walked out of their room and then into the elevator which was thankfully empty. When they got to the ground floor Nicolas told him it would be better if they left by the back door and Kai didn't question it as he followed behind him.

When they were finally out Nicolas took a deep
breath and dropped his shoulders in relief.

"Have you been stuck in that room ever since you came here?" Kai frowned but Nicolas only shrugged and continued to walk until they reached a car.

"Come on we're going to get something to eat first." Nicolas said opening the door for Kai and then getting into it himself.

"There's this really nice place where they sell amazing crepes and we could go there if you want something sweet or we could go to this burger place with really good burgers. We could also-"

"I want crepes." Kai smiled, cutting him off and Nicolas turned to him with a nod. "Then crepes it is."

They drove for about ten minutes before Nicolas found a parking spot and they got out and inside the cute restaurant. They sat down in a booth near a window and Nicolas sat down next to Kai instead of accros from him so he could wrap his arm around him.

"Order whatever you want." He murmured into Kai's ears.

After surveying the menu he settled for crepes drizzled with chocolate and sugar with bananas on top of it. He also wanted a vanilla milkshake. He told Nicolas what he wanted and when the waitress came Nicolas ordered the same thing for himself.

When she left Nicola turned slightly to face Kai and slowly undid the scar around his neck and took it off and put it on his lap.

"You comfy?" Nicolas asked and Kai smiled shifting so he could rest his head on Nicolas's chest, "I'm always comfy with you."

Nicolas smiled at the affection, because one they were in public and Kai initiated it and two he always loved when Kai gave him any kind of affection.

When their food came it was folded in a way where you couldn't see the bananas but Kai figured they were inside.

So they cut into it and just as Kai was about to take a bite he noticed something red inside of it. His eyes widened in realization and he immediately turned to Nicolas and grabbed his wrist before he could take a bite.

"Don't eat that!" He exclaimed and Nicolas furrowed his eyebrows.

"There's strawberries." He said and Nicolas eyes widened as he immediately dropped the fork on his plate.

Kai called out to the waitress and when she came he scowled at her.

"Why is there strawberries? We clearly said only bananas." He said.

"Oh! I'm so sorry for the mix up. I'll get it changed immediately." She said grabbing their plates.

"He's allergic, he could have gotten hurt because of your mistake." Kai added, he felt so angry that he himself didn't realize what he was saying.

"It's okay baby." Nicolas whispered grabbing Kai's hand in his hold before turning to the waitress.

"Could you get it changed?" He asked and she nodded and left after giving another set of apologies.

Nic turned to Kai who was still scowling and smiled. "Look at you being angry at someone and even telling them. I never thought the day would come."

Kai turned to Nicolas who was smiling and shifted his scowl on him. "It's not funny! You could have gotten hurt because of it!" He huffed.

"But I didn't. You stopped me from eating it didn't you? Calm down, love and don't spoil your mood because of something like this." Nicolas said rubbing his hand and Kai sighed loosing the tension.

They both knew that if it were the other way around Nicolas wouldn't have only been upset at the waitress but probably raise hell in this small restaurant but Kai didn't say it.

When the lady came back she told them they were free of charge and Nicolas winked at Kai who rolled his eyes. They thanked her and Kai even apologized for being so upset at her even if he didn't go overboard, it wouldn't have been Kai if he didn't say sorry.

After they ate they left and Nicolas told him they'd leave the car here and they could walked  around instead. They explored the streets and stopped at shops where Nicolas would buy some things for Kai and sometimes Kai would grab some things for Nicolas.

They shopped and Nicolas showed Kai around and they both couldn't keep their smile off their face. Kai had let go of all his anxiety and he would hold Nicolas's hand and even leave some kisses here and there, not caring if anyone stared at them.

They were walking over a bridge as the sun started going down and then they stopped at a spot where you could clearly see the sunset. Nicolas hugged Kai from behind as the boy held the railing and rested his chin on top of his head.

"I love you." He whispered in the wind but Kai caught the words and smiled, "And I love you."

"You're so pretty." Nicolas said randomly and Kai laughed in his hold. "You're prettier."

"Are you flirting with me Kai?" Nicolas teased making him laugh harder.

"You're the one who started it!" He exclaimed and Nicolas chuckled turning Kai around so he could look into his gorgeous dark eyes.

He ran his fingers over his face tracing his red cheeks, moving the scarf so he could trace his lips softly before leaning down and pressing a kiss against them. Kai wrapped his arms around Nicolas neck and kissed back as Nicolas parted his lips for access and deepened the kiss.

When they pulled away they both smiled stupidly at each other and Kai laughed at how disgustingly sweet they were acting.

"Why're you laughing?" Nicolas asked his breath coming out of foggy because of the cold.

"Nothing." Kai smiled pecking his lips again before hugging him and burying his face in his jacket.

"You're so warm." He mumbled as Nicolas wrapped his arms around him, rubbing his hand up and down his back.

"Wanna go back?" Nicolas asked but Kai shook his head.

"Just a bit longer."
