"I'm nervous." Kai said biting his lip as he looked at the large soccer field.

"Don't worry Kai, they'll win." Nicolas said but even he was a little nervous for Arthur.

He was even more determined then usual to win against Ridge High because of Leon and Noelle. Nicolas feared that his personal feelings would get in the way as he played and he hoped that Arthur didn't do anything stupid. But he also had faith in his friend and he knew how much soccer meant to Arthur and that hopefully he would keep his head in the game.

"Hey guys!" Noelle cheered as she finally found them in the bleachers. She sat next to Kai and passed him his hot chocolate he had asked for.

"Hey. Thank you!" Kai said and Nicolas also greeted her.

"Are you wearing Arthur's jersey?" Nic asked with raised eyebrows noticing the red shirt she was wearing.

"Of course I always wear it whenever he has a game." She nodded with a small smile.

"But aren't you like dating Leon now? Wouldn't he want you to wear his?" Kai asked curiously.

"Yeah he did ask, but Arthur is my best friend first. And how can I not support my own school's team?" She shrugged and Kai smiled glad that she had decided to do this. If she had supported Leon he didn't know how Arthur would have reacted. Surely he would have been hurt.

"The games starting!" Noelle cheered and clapped loudly as both teams took their positions.

Even from here Kai could feel the cackling tension between the teams and he nervously sipped at his hot chocolate.

As the game went on his anxiousness grew as both teams failed to score. It was almost half time when one of Leon's teammates had the ball and was running closer and closer to the goal with Arthur running behind him.

Arthur had managed to catch up to him and they were fighting for the ball when a another player of the other team ran towards them. The boy was about to pass the ball to the other teammate when Arthur swiftly blocked it and had the ball under his feet. Before he could even thinking about doing something the other boy took the ball and tripped Arthur in the process.

"Arthur!" Noelle gasped.

Kai was sure he saw him kick Arthur's leg but he was to far to know for sure. He waited for the referee to call foul but he never did.

"What the heck!" Kai muttered and glanced at Nicolas worriedly.

The boy continued to make his way to the goal and passed the ball to his teammates who was closest to him which was Leon.

"Oh no..." Kai muttered, he wanted to close his eyes but couldn't.

Just as he expected Leon received the ball before running a few feet ahead and shooting. The goalie jumped and tried to catch the ball but it brushed his gloved fingers before tumbling into the goal.

"Shit." Nicolas said and Kai groaned as the audience cheered and clapped.

He glanced at Noelle and was shocked to see she wasn't even clapping considering it was Leon who scored but instead glancing worriedly at Arthur who had a devastated look on his face as his teammates checked up on him.

"They'll be fine. He'll be fine. We still have the other half to make up for it." Nicolas tried his best to assure both of them but they were both to nervous to calm down. Kai set his empty hot chocolate cup at his feet and grabbed Nicolas's hand for comfort.

He would have grabbed Noelle's hand to give her comfort but she was still tightly clenching her drink around her finger.

After the second half started Arthur's team was very heated and determined to score. The other team had a very good defense though and were blocking anyone who came close to their goal.

But finally Arthur managed to swiftly make his way through them before passing the ball to his teammate who kicked the ball towards the goal.

Kai closed his eyes, this time too nervous to see the outcome but when he heard the cheers his eyes shot open to see Arthur jumping around and laughing as he clapped his friends back.

"Oh my god!" Kai cheered and clapped as he looked at Nicolas who also clapped with a bright smile on his face.

Noelle was screaming at the top of her lungs as her curls were basically tumbling down her bun and Kai laughed at her.

The game continued with both teams blocking each other off from scoring until there were only five minutes left.

"It's going to be a tie." Kai mumbled.

"You never know." Nicolas said but even he was shifting nervously in his seat as the game came to an end.

Just as Kai expected the game ended as a tie and both teams looked stumped.

After the game Kai, Nicolas and Noelle were waiting at the parking lot for Arthur to show up.

"He's here!" Kai exclaimed and waved at Arthur with a smile.

Arthur smiled back and continued to walk their way when someone roughly grabbed his arm to turn him around

They couldn't see who had pulled back Arthur but they could see them having a conversation. The conversation soon turned to an argument and then suddenly Arthur's stumbled back as his face was met with a fist.

In one quick mouvement Nicolas ran over to Arthur and Leon who they could now see and pushed Leon back.

"Back off!" Nicolas said but Leon only pushed his hand away.

Kai and Noelle had also ran over and Noelle grabbed Arthur's bruised face worriedly.

"Are you okay?" She asked but he only shrugged off her hands before moving closer to Leon.

"What the fuck is wrong with you!" He yelled.

"Stop!" Noelle exclaimed but Arthur only turned to glare at her. "Stay out of this."

"Don't talk to her like that." Leon hissed and Arthur turned to glare at him so fiercely and took a threatening step towards him.

"Don't tell me how to talk to my best friend. She's mine."

Noelle's eyes widened at Arthur's words and Leon clenched his jaw.

"Now tell me what the fuck is wrong with you. Why can't you stop with this bullshit?" Arthur asked and Leon scoffed.

"I just told you what you did to me."

"I didn't do anything. I don't even remember your ex girlfriend! She probably lied to me about having a boyfriend so I'd sleep with her. I wouldn't sleep with someone taken just to avoid situations like this! If your girl is not loyal that's not my fault. If she didn't love you that's not on me. You can't go around hitting me because you think I was after someone I don't even remember." Arthur said much calmly before turning around and running out of the parking lot.

Noelle looked at his retreating back with sadness pooling in her eyes.

"He'll be okay." Kai said trying to comfort her and Nicolas nodded.

"You should go after him."

Noelle looked at Leon with wide eyes while he looked back at her with guilt pooling into his blue eyes.

"I'm sorry Noelle. For being so stupid all these years. I should be saying this to him and not you but I can't. I always acted like I hated him but the person I truly hate is myself, for not being good enough for her. I took out all my anger on him because I was too much of a coward to realize that it wasn't his fault but hers and mine." Leon said and ran his hand through his blond hair and then walking towards Noelle to grasp her shoulders.

"You're in love with him." He said. "Don't make the same mistakes I did. I'm sorry for trying to be with you even after finding out your heart belongs to him. But I know and I think you do too. So go and be with him." He smiled sadly and leaned down to leave a featherlight kiss on her forehead before turning around and leaving.

(An: I know this part is really cringe and weird and like what? So please kindly act like I didn't just write that (≧∇≦) )

"You should go before he gets too far." Nicolas said, breaking Noelle out of her trance and she turned around startled.

"Right, I'll see you guys at the party." She breathed out and then ran in the same direction Arthur had disappeared to a couple of minutes ago.

"That was..." Kai trailed off not knowing how to describe what just happened.

"Shocking." Nicolas finished the sentence and Kai nodded.

Both boys were now in Nicolas's room getting ready for the party. They had put on their costumes and now were adding the extra blood on it.

"Do you think the colour is weird?" Kai asked, turning around to face his best friend.

Kai was wearing a light shade of purple scrubs with blood splattered on them. His top was slightly big so it slid off his right shoulder leaving it bare. He fixed his hair messy and has worn his black sneakers. He applied some chapstick that made his lips pop out.

"You look adorable. The colour is perfect." Nicolas said walking over and cupping Kai's cheek. His hand trailed to his jaw and then to his neck and finally to his shoulder. He rubbed Kai's bare shoulder with his thumb leaning down until they were face to face.

"Do you like mine?" He whispered.

Nicolas was wearing a doctor's coat, his chest was bare but with blood covering some of it along with the white coat.  He had a stethoscope around his neck and was wearing simple black pants with shoes white. He also had left his hair messy.

"Yeah I do." Kai whispered back and his eyes momentarily trailed over Nicolas's bare chest before looking back into his eyes.

"Won't people be staring at your chest?" Kai asked with a small frown.

"I'm sure there will be much more interesting costumes then mine. No one will stare at my chest." Nic assured with a small grin.

"Isn't what why you wouldn't let me wear it though?" Kai asked with raised eyebrows and Nicolas internally cursed.

"No, no. It was because you'd be cold! And people would most likely stare at you then me. I'm quite boring." He said to save himself.

"That's not true! You're not boring, you're very interesting and people would stare at you too because you're also very attractive!" Kai exclaimed before realizing what he said and he covered his mouth with his palm.

Nicolas beamed and his heart jumped at his throat before he cleared his throat and asked, "so you think I'm attractive?"

"W-well you're not bad looking and I'm sure a lot of girls will look at you." Kai replied, but his fist clenched at the thought of girls drooling all over Nicolas.

"I don't want girls to look at me." Nicolas said.

"You don't?" Kai asked, relieved.

"I don't." Nic smiled and went over to grab his keys.

'I just want you to look at me', he thought to himself.

Kai and Nicolas walked into the house as music was blasting in every corner of it. Everyone was wearing costumes and Kai was exited at seeing how cool some of them were.

The house was decorated with Halloween decorations everywhere and there was even a zombie dangling from the ceiling.

"This is so cool!" Kai said looking around and Nicolas nodded, "Yeah it is."

"Come on let's go and find Arthur and check up on him." Nicolas leant down to talk in Kai's ear so he would hear him over the music.

"Okay!" Kai yelled and they made their way past the buzzing teenagers to find their friend.

"There he is!" Kai pointed. "Wow his costume is sooo cool!"

Arthur was dressed up as a prisoner with the orange jumpsuit zipped down to his waist and tied up so you could see the tattered black skin hugging t-shirt he was wearing. The sleeves were short enough to see the tattoo on his arm and his hair was slicked back. He had put on his ear piercing and and one of his hands were handcuffed.

Noelle was standing next to him wearing a similar costume only she was wearing a white tank top instead of a black t-shirt and she had added purple extensions to her hair. She had fake lashes and her makeup was done beautifully and gave her a bad girl vibe with the dark eyeshadow and the dark red lipstick. Her dark skin was glowing against the highlighter she applied and she had put on a nose piercing that matched Arthur's ear piercings.

As both boys approached them they could see Arthur's arm lightly wrapped around Noelle's waist as she laughed at something he said.

You guys look so good!" Kai exclaimed as soon as they were in earshot.

"Thanks Kai! You too, oh my god I love the purple it looks so good!" Noelle exclaimed back and leaped forward to hug Kai.

"Arthur you look really good. I love the piercings." Kai gushed and Arthur smirked at Nicolas before also pulling Kai in a hug and ruffling his hair.

"You look good too." He said just as Nicolas shot his arm out and pulled Kai back, which made him stumble into his arms.

"Looking hot Nicolas." Noelle whistled and Nic smiled while Arthur glared and Kai had a small pout on his lip.

"What's wrong?" Nic hummed in Kai's ear, the latter still nestled into his arms.

"You said no girls would stare." Kai muttered in his ear and Nicolas chuckled.

"It's just Noelle."

"Whatever." Kai huffed.

Why does that even bother you? His subconscious asked him and he decided to ignore it. He was tired of asking himself questions after everything he felt or said. He was tired of always questioning himself and his actions. He didn't want to feel like what he was feeling was wrong.

"Are you okay?" Kai asked changing the subject and looking at Arthur worriedly.

"I'm fine. I didn't even get a bruise. I'm glad it's over though I was tired of all of the petty shit between the teams. Hopefully the next time we play together it will be more peacefully." Arthur said and Kai smiled nodding.

"Did you guys talk about what Leon said?" Nicolas asked and Noelle nodded.

"Yeah I found him and we had a long  conversation about...everything." She said with a light blush coating her cheeks and Kai's eyebrows shot up.

"Everything?" He asked.

"Everything." She confirmed and he had to control himself from jumping from excitement at the fact that she finally confessed.

"Are you guys like...dating?" Kai asked as he caught Arthur kissed Noelle's blushing cheek.

"Well..." Noelle trailed off before looking up at Arthur.

"Soon." He replied and she grinned burying her face in his chest.

"So you finally grew a brain and realized you like her." Nicolas chuckled.

"How did you?" Kai asked eagerly.

"Well... I don't really know. One day she was my best friend and the next I wanted her to be my everything." Arthur said and Kai cooed at how cute that was.

"Not that cute." Nicolas muttered and Arthur stuck out his tongue at him.

"I'm going to go get drinks do you want something?" Nic asked softly in Kai's ear as their friends chatted between each other.

"Can you get me one of those fruity drinks we saw at the front? No alcohol please." Kai said knowing he was a lightweight and got tired and drunk very easily when he drank.

"Okay I'll be right back. Stay with them okay?" Nic asked and Kai nodded with a smile.

As Nicolas left their side the three of them jumped in a conversation about all the costumes that people were wearing and saying which ones were the worst ones and which ones were the best ones.

"Ooo! I love this song, let's dance!" Noelle exclaimed and Arthur nodded with a smile.

"I'll wait for Nic, you guys go." Kai said and after asking if he was sure they left him to go and dance.

"Omg! You look so hot!" Kai looked up with wide eyes at Mary as she scanned him over with her eyes.

"Oh thanks. I like your costume." He said awkwardly. She was dressed up as a devil in a red dress with black stockings and her hair tied up with devil horns sitting on her head.

"Thanks! Do you want a drink?" She asked sitting down next to him and he shook his head.

"No thanks."

"Come on it's really good!" She said sipping on her own glass.

Kai glanced at the glass and noticed it looked like the fruity drink at the front.

"No alcohol right?" He asked. He figured he'd drink some of this one till Nicolas came back with his.

"Um no, no alcohol." Mary giggled and shifted the drink closer to Kai.

He sighed and cautiously took a small sip.

"Oh wow this is really good." He smiled taking another gulp of it.

Soon his glass was empty and he was giggling like Mary.

"Come on let's go dance!" She said and he nodded without realizing.

She grabbed his hand and pulled him to the dance floor. His body felt tired and he didn't really feel like dancing. Mary put her hands on his shoulders urging him to move with her but he was practically falling asleep on his feet.

"I-I'm tired. I w-want Nicolas." Kai murmured as he tried to get away from Mary to go and find Nic.

"Come on I'll take you to Nicolas!" Mary said through gritted teeth as she grabbed his wrist and moved him towards the stairs.

"N-Nic not t-there." Kai muttered but his body was still following to where Mary was pulling him.

"I know." Mary said with a smile as she brought them to an empty room. "I can finally have you to myself."

She pushed him on the bed where his head fell on the pillow. His eyes were begging to shut close but his brain was forcing them to stay open. He felt a hand on his arm and he wanted to move but he couldn't find the energy to do so.

"N-Nicolas..."
