Double Funeral

You woke up on the cold concrete with Dabi, he looked at you with his clearly tear stained face. Looks like he's been doing some silent mourning. "Good morning patchwork." You gave him a weak smile.
"Good morning mouse." He wrapped his arms around you, holding you tightly in his own form of comfort. It was very effective as you moved closer to him.

"Don't we have to have a funeral today?" You asked him, sitting up.

"I guess so." He sat up too.

You groaned as you stood, muscles stiff from sleeping on cold concrete. I looked at the charred remains of the bar you called home. Your eyes watered with fresh tears. No. I will not cry again. What's done is done. You looked at Toga's soot stained clothing. The fabric clung to your body, only reminding you of her passing. I will not cry. You told yourself again.

Your breath hitched and your body shook with untold emotions, but tears did not spill. You wiped off any dirt you could, not having another change of clothes. This would have to do for now.

~Timeskip brought to you by pride month! (Definitely going to use the rainbow as a timeskip indicator from now on)~

You stood in a small clearing in the woods. There, Kurogiri was holding a private funeral, using whatever materials we had. (Which isn't much I really wanna draw this scene cuz it looks really stupid funny in my head)

A small cardboard box holding whatever remained of Shigaraki sat in a small hole, six feet deep. You stood, holding Dabi's hand as you watched it be covered in dirt. (Is that the right grammar idk??)

This part didn't bother you. What did make you emotional again was the glass jar Kurogiri held. He placed it on the ground on top of Shigaraki's grave. The label read Himiko Toga. It was filled with the ashes of the girl you had learned to become friends with.

Even though the friendship was mostly one sided, seeing that she was gone pained you. I will not cry. You said to yourself as a tear slipped from your waterline. You quickly wiped it away.

You looked at Dabi, his eyes had a glossy look to them, like he also was holding back tears. You squeezed his hand in reassurance. Kurogiri put a wooden sign in the ground. The sign read Tomura Shigaraki.

You all stood, looking at the devastion caused to all of our lives.

(Back at the burnt bar lol)

"So what now?" You asked Dabi.
"I... don't know. It's just now really stuck that they're gone." That was the first time he'd ever said he didn't know what came next. It scared you.

"Do you think it's safe to look through the wreckage?"
"You're going to go in no matter what I say, right mouse?"
"You know me too well." You made your way to the building. You scrambled over charred wood and chipped bricks.

Eventually you found your way to where your room would be. You sat in a spot where there wasn't as much debris, and began to look around. It was absolutely destroyed.

If Toga hadn't brought you out when she did, you would've died. You pulled the blanket you had bought with Dabi off the bed. There were a few large holes burnt into it.

You hugged it close, the scent of smoke making you cough. It was usable, but very damaged. You rummaged through your clothing, picking up any clothes that weren't reduced to scraps. Unwearable clothing could be used to patch up the blanket, and the rest could be worn.
