Few weeks later~

Y/N POV:

It was my wedding day.

I was feeling down because I didn't get a chance to meet Jungkook before our wedding.

For once, I wanted to talk to him, just to ask him how he felt about me.

Ignoring the empty feeling, I forced a smile on my face comforting myself with the thought of spending my rest of life with him.

My attention was drawn by my mother who was helping me in wearing a beautiful sparkling wedding dress.

"I don't think it will fit. What should we do?" I panicked.

I wanted everything to be perfect on this special day of my life. But the wedding gown messed up everything.

My mother stopped zipping up the dress, only to pass me a glare.

"It was completely fine three days ago. Did you gain weight again? This is why I asked you to go on a diet, but you never listen to me!" She scolded.

My heart sank with her words. I tried my best to hold back my tears.

How is this my fault?

Countless times, she tried to zip it up, but it wasn't working.

Finally, she gave up and settled down on a chair. Massaging her temples, she tried to calm down herself.

I decided to try one last time. Inhaling a deep breath, I used all my strength to pull up the zipper but failed miserably.

Unable to hold my breath with a loud gasp, I released my breath at once which caused the dress to get torn from my waistline.

My mother looked up and saw me trying to hide the torn part of the dress.

"Great! Perfect! Just Perfect!" Sarcastically, she said, clapping her hands.

I felt tears trickle down my spectacles and hoped they won't be noticed by her.

"Stop crying," I started crying even harder after seeing the annoyed reaction of my mother.

She sighed, face palming.

"Mom~ Stop shouting and please do something," I whined.

I was getting anxious because of the wedding gown. On top of that, my mother releasing her frustration on me wasn't helping.

Getting up from the chair, she placed both of her hands on her waist, "Fine, let me call the stylist."

I wiped my tears and waited for the stylist to arrive.

Luckily, the stylist had already prepared another wedding gown.

All of my worries disappeared when the other wedding gown fitted me perfectly.

Standing behind the giant door, I inhaled a deep breath to calm down my heart which was thudding loudly.

I thought my heart was going to explode as the time to walk down the aisle came nearer.

My father stopped right next to me with a bright smile on his face. Returning him a smile, I encircled my hands in his arms and looked at the door which opened just at the right time.

The whole crowd's attention was on me. Feeling the gazes on me, I lowered my head.

My hands and legs were shaking, feeling anxious being around the unfamiliar faces.

I hate being the centre of the attention.

It's my big day.

I should focus on my husband. I shouldn't worry about anything else.

After a long mental debate, I mustered up the courage to lift my head and to meet eyes with Jungkook, who was wearing a black suit which increased his charm.

I was lost in admiring him that I didn't realize when we reached the end until my father gave my hand to him.

The moment he took my hand in his warm hand, I blushed and ducked my head.

We turned to face the priest and he recited the vows.

"Jeon Jungkook, do you take Kang Y/n to be your lawful wedded wife?"

No response.

The priest cleared his throat and repeated but Jungkook was lost in his own thoughts.

"Jungkook," When I called out his name, he released a sigh before answering.

"I— I do."

Noticing the hesitation in his voice and his unusual behavior, I sensed something was not right.

I turned my gaze away from Jungkook when the priest continued.

"Kang Y/n, do you take Jeon Jungkook to be your lawful wedded husband?"

"I do!" I answered happily, bobbing my head in positive.

I couldn't look into his eyes when we turned to each other to exchange our rings.

After placing the ring on his finger, I admired the ring on my finger. It was like a dream come true.

Finally, he was mine.

"Now, you may kiss the bride."

For a millisecond, our eyes met, but quickly Jungkook looked away, breaking our eye contact.

He leaned forward until our noses were almost touching.

I closed my eyes and pouted my lips, waiting for the kiss. A few moments later, his lips touched my skin.

It was a quick peck on my cheek. I was disheartened but shrugged it off by awkwardly smiling at the crowd who were cheering for us.

The driver was heading to our new house in which we were going to live in.

Jungkook was leaning his back against the car seat with his eyes closed.

I tried to start a conversation with him but failed when his phone vibrated.

Slowly, opening his eyes, he sat up straight.

After checking the caller ID, without any delay, he declined the call and rubbed his palms together.

"Is everything alright?" I asked, genuinely worried for him.

"Yeah," he mumbled, without even looking at me.

He seemed a little annoyed with me.

He must be tired. I should let him rest.

Once we arrived our home, I helped the driver with our luggage. Jungkook headed inside the house.

I called his name to help me, but I guess he didn't hear me.

The driver helped me to carry the luggage inside the house, to the living room.

From there, I took the suitcase and dragged it inside the main room.

I was struggling with my suitcase since it was quite heavy but somehow I managed to get it to the room.

Jungkook was sitting on the bed, tapping on his phone. He looked up, taking his eyes off the screen.

I smiled, expecting him to help me but he turned his attention turned back to the phone.

Disappointed with his ignorance, I closed the door behind and pulled the handle of the suitcase practically dragging it.

"You can take the guest room. I will take this room." He muttered while his eyes were still focused on the phone.

I froze on the spot, shocked to hear his words.

Shouldn't we share the same bedroom? After all, we are married.

"But why?" I said in a low voice, trying to hide the disappointment.

He rolled his eyes, getting up from the bed.

"Do you think both of us can sleep in one bed? If you sleep here, then I won't have any space to sleep in." He snapped.

A brink of tears started to form in my eyes.

I was hurt by the words he spat out.

Does that mean he doesn't like me for being fat?

Jungkook POV:

How can I sleep with her in one bed?

The moment I see her ugly face, it feels like disgusting insects are crawling all over my body.

She blankly stared down at the ground and said nothing.

I realized my words were a bit too harsh.

She lifted up her chin, that moment I noticed her teary eyes. I kind of felt bad for yelling at her.

Nervously, I rubbed the back of my neck not knowing how to deal with the awkward situation.

"I mean, I want both of us to be comfortable. I'm not used to sharing my room with someone else." I made up a lie.

She smiled weakly and nodded, leaving the room without uttering a word.

I was still looking at the door from which she exited.

I need to be careful with my words. I can't reveal her the fact that I married her based on a contract.

The moment she knows the truth, the contract will be invalid.

My father would cancel the contract and I won't be able to divorce her.

That was the stupid condition proposed by my father.

I will divorce her no matter what.

I have to avoid her for at least one year. I just hope this one year passes by without getting caught.

I should stay away from her as much as possible.

Sometimes it's better to be silent than to explain what we really feel. Because it's going to hurt when they can listen but they can't understand.
