Lux Bonteri
12 ABY
Imperial Medical Research Laboratory
Wobani

The next morning, Lux wasted no time getting to work on a transmission to the Princess. He had no idea where she was now. The last time they spoke had been around Ahsoka's death when she decided to go into hiding for good. She had said it had something to do with finding out more about her family history and whatnot.

She had been raised on Alderaan, which unfortunately did not exist anymore. That was quite the adventure for the Alliance, if he remembered correctly. Luke Skywalker had saved the day the first time but destroyed everything the second time.

It couldn't be Tattooine, either. Ahsoka had told him about the twins' lineage, and Anakin Skywalker was born there. There was absolutely nothing on Tatoine except for smugglers and scum. The only reason Luke was kept hidden for so long was because Anakin refused to return there. Something about a great loss...

The only place left was Naboo. Senator Padme Amidala was her mother, and she had invested so much of her time to serving her people. Lux could imagine that Leia knew quite a bit about her father from Luke, but their mother was more of a mystery. She had been dead since their birth. He still remembered the long and solemn walk behind her coffin in the capital city.

Lux decided to give it a try. Using an old trick Ahsoka had taught him years ago, Lux rewired the datapad to send a basic message to Naboo. He could only hope that the Princess would see it.

"Princess Leia Organa, it's Patriot calling for help from the Imperial Medical Research facility on Wobani. Immediate evac requested. It's my son and I... and Fulcrum. Please help us."

Dr. Onsourl Pestis
12 ABY
Imperial Medical Research Laboratory
Wobani

Dr. Pestis walked into the communications center early in the morning. The sun had barely risen, but he had business to attend to. He didn't want to take the chance that something would happen and mess up his work. He was so close to perfecting the Emperor's army specimens. The male was ready for some finishing touches, and then we would be sent to the cloning facilities. The girl needed another few hours, but once she was out of the womb, she too would be ready for cloning. He didn't want anything to mess up years of hard work.

A hooded figure popped up in front of him. "Onsourl, my friend, to what do I owe the pleasure?"

"The boy and the girl will be ready for you in a matter of days now. We are so close to victory I can almost feel it."

"That is excellent news, Doctor. But I sense this is not the reason for your transmission."

Dr. Pestis began pacing. "No. Since we are in the final stages of our plan, I would like some extra warriors of yours to come and secure this facility. I don't want anyone in or out of this place without my knowledge, and some of my patients have a tendency to be a bit... adventurous."

"Very well. I shall send some stormtroopers to you from a nearby system. They should be there in a few hours."

"Thank you, my lord."

"I look forward to my army, Onsourl."

Ahsoka Tano
19 BBY
Senate Building
Coruscant

Ahsoka cross-legged on the floor behind Lux's chair in his office, staring out at the Jedi Temple. It was very pretty at this time of night, with all the lights illuminating the statues around the temple's base. It was a shame to thing that such a beautiful building was being used as a weapon of war.

This was a regular habit for Ahsoka. For hours, she would sit and meditate while Lux wrote a speech or researched a statistic. Every now and then, she would use the force to check on Anakin. The bond shared by master and apprentice was strong; she could feel his emotions from light years away. Even though she had left his side, she didn't want anything bad to happen to him. If she wasn't there to protect him, the least she could do was make sure he was still alive.

This time was no different; she focused on his presence, sensing his usual tornado of emotions. Anakin Skywalker was unlike most other Jedi she's met. He could feel happy, guilty, loving, and angry all at the same time, with one emotion typically more dominant than the others. She would never understand how he functioned that way, but it seemed to work out okay for him.

Tonight, he was afraid. That was a new one. Her master was very rarely afraid of something, and when he was, it was for good reason. She focused all  of her energy on his force signature, trying to figure out what was going on. And then, without warning, it vanished.

Her heart rate increased. She tried again, hoping that it had just been her losing focus. His signature was like a candle lighting up a dark room; the flame was distinct and bright all the time, wherever she was. The candle had been blown out, and darkness was all that remained.

"Lux, something's wrong." She stood up, her eyes still glued to the Jedi Temple. "Something's very wrong."

"What is it?" He turned his chair around and stood beside her.

"It's Anakin. I—I can't sense him." She heard a young child scream in the back of her mind, and there was a knock at the door.

Four clones walked into the office, not even bothering to wait for Lux to open the door.

"Has something happened, troopers?"

"Sir, there's been an attack at the Jedi Temple. All Republic facilities are to be put on lockdown or evacuated."

Ahsoka whipped around. An attack on the Temple? He couldn't be serious. Nobody had openly attacked the Temple on a large enough scale to shut down the Senate since the formation of the Republic. "Who? Who could've done this?"

"There's been a rebellion against the Chancellor. The Jedi have attempted to overthrow the Republic."

Lux took a step back. "That can't be true."

"Sir, the building is being evacuated. We need you to come with us for your own safety."

"What about my bodyguard? Surely she is capable of protecting me."

One of the clones stepped forward. "Commander Tano, correct?"

Ahsoka had a bad feeling about where this was heading. "Formerly, yes."

"Commander Tano was affiliated with the Jedi Order at one point and therefore must be escorted separately to avoid a potential assault. It is possible she may still be associated with the Jedi."

Ahsoka shook her head. This wasn't right, but what choice did she have? The clones had a point. If it really was true that the Jedi tried to overthrow the Republic, then she didn't blame them for being cautious. "Of course, troopers. We can't be too careful about security these days."

The troopers split up to accommodate for Ahsoka, two escorting each of them. They led her to a landing pad not far from the Senator's office. She assumed they were going to take a speeder away from the Senate building, but she was wrong. Once the door closed behind her, she saw the dozen clones standing in front of her, blocking her escape.

"Commander Tano, you are under arrest for treason against the Republic."

Before she could process what he said, all of them began firing at her. She stood frozen, unable to lift a finger against the brothers she'd fought beside for years. She'd trusted them with her life, and they were trying to kill her. Ahsoka understood why Anakin was afraid because she was, too.

She called her lightsabers to her hands and began slicing through their blasters, trying as best she could to defend herself. There were just too many of them for her to deal with. If Anakin would've been there, it would've been easy, but he wasn't. He was dead, and she was alone.

She felt a blast pass through her chest and the world faded into darkness.

A/N: And there's Order 66, folks! Not too bad, right? Just kidding! Ahsoka has suffered some major injuries from the clones. When I say major, I mean major. She doesn't die though, obviously, or we would've have a story XD

Lux has called for help from Princess Leia, who is in hiding on Naboo. Dr. Pestis has called for help from the Emperor, who just so happens to have an entire army at his disposal. I smell a battle coming up.

Once again, it's super late where I am. Over the summer, my sleep schedule gets so messed up. I wrote this chapter in two hours starting at around midnight, so who knows what just happpened. I should probably go to bed so I don't sleep all day tomorrow.

See you soon, and may the force be with you!
