I am so happy that finally Rose is getting married to Blake. Both of them look cute together. I am sure that Blake will always take care of Rose. He loves her a lot. We were deciding about their marriage during the dinner. Rose was blushing as hell and Blake was just looking at her and smiling. Everything is just perfect. Xander and Blake are back to their friend zone.

It was raining heavily when we were returning home. During the dinner Xander didn't say even a single word, he was just nodding his head whenever someone asked him a question and while we were returning then too. He was quiet all the time and I very well know why he is behaving like this and it's really irritating.

The pain was visible in his face.

Why is he taking all the blame on himself?

"Xander stop. Stop blaming yourself. Whatever happened was not your fault."

He stopped the car. "What's not my fault Ev? I blamed Blake for everything when the one who has to be blamed is me. I lost him because of my mistake. Mason died because of me. Because I was in so called love with Maddison. The one guy who never used to lie to me, he lied to me, he didn't tell me that he knew. Everything is because of me."

I shook my head. Xander got out of the car slamming the door.

"Xander come inside it's raining." I shouted from the car. But he didn't came in.

He shouted. "UGH!!"

I got out of the car and ran to him.

I cupped his face in my hand "Xander it's not your fault. Stop it. No one is to be blamed for this. If you would have known then you would have saved Mason. Mason didn't tell you it's not your fault. You tried your best to save him. Don't blame yourself. The one here who has to be blamed is Maddison she lied to both of you. She said those hurtful words to Mason. You are not responsible for anything."

Xander hugged me and cried "Why didn't he tell me Ev? Why? I could've saved him. If just once he told me, he would have been alive today and be with us."

I pulled away and pecked his lips "Shh.... Let's just forget the past and see you have so many people who loves you. You have me, Mom-Dad, Evan, Rose and now you have Blake too. Let's forget everything and just start fresh with our baby. Please Xander. It hurts to see you like this. My heart aches."

"I love you so much Ev. I love you."

"I love you too." I said.

He held both my hands in his and connected our lips.

"Ah! Ah! Ah!" Xander muttered in pain.

I was applying medicine on his wounds and he was whining like a kid.

"Xander stop acting like a kid."

"Don't scold me. You won't understand how much it hurts." He said.
"Ah! Ah! Slow. Slow. Slow."

"Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. I'll be careful."

"Who told you to fight with him? You know that he is more stronger than you but still you had to fight with him. Now see what he has done to you. Oh my God there are so many wounds."

"What the hell! You think that he is more stronger than me."

"Of course he is." I said.

Listening to me he took the cotton from my hand and threw it.

"You know what leave this. You don't have to do it." Saying that he got up and was going outside the room.

"What? Why?"

"Go to Blake. You think that he is more stronger."

"Xander I didn't mean that."

"Really then what did you meant."

"I meant that why the hell did you beat him up. See you are hurt so badly now."

"I lost my temper. He was not telling me the truth."

"So that doesn't mean you'll hit him. Blake too must be hurt. You know he was also bleeding so much. It must be hurting so badly."

"Excuse me. I am your husband. You should be worried about me not him. I am hurt too." He sat on the bed and pouted.

"Stop overacting. It will heal quickly. I have applied the medicine."

"I don't think medicine can heal it."

"Huh?"

He pulled me to him and I landed on top of him. "You can heal it faster."

"Really?"

"Yes really baby."

I smiled at him and pressed his wounded arm and got up sitting back on the bed.

"AHH!" he shouted in pain.

"You are so dirty minded."

"Me? What have I done?" he asked innocently.

"Don't try to act innocent."

"I was just asking for a kiss. What did you thought? Oh God! Ev you are the one dirty minded here." I narrowed my eyes and glared at him.

He started laughing.

"You know what, I am going. Sleep here alone." I started walking towards the door when he came and picked me up in his arms.

"And who said I am letting you go."

"Put me down. Now."

"Nope."

"Xander. Put me down or else."

"Or else what Mrs. Knight." He said and looked at my eyes seductively.

He then started walking towards the bed with me. He laid me down and started kissing me. I kissed him back.

"I need you so badly."

One month later

5 minutes to go....

Just 5 minutes. I was in my room pretending to be asleep while Xander was sitting beside me on the bed busy with his work. It's my birthday tomorrow I am just waiting for 12 am. I am sure he'll be the first one to wish me.

What the hell! He is not saying anything.

I cleared my throat.

But still nothing.

I sat up and saw him totally engrossed in his work. I coughed. He looked at me. "Have some water Ev."

Wait. What? Water? It's my birthday. Hello!

Is he serious? He's not even looking at me. I glared at him. When he didn't look up again. I pulled my blanket and laid back. After some time he too laid and pulled me towards him kissing the back of my head he said "Goodnight Ev."

Did he really forget my birthday?

"ALEXANDER FUCKING KNIGHT! I HATE YOU SO MUCH." I shouted. I was in my office walking back and forth. Almost everyone wished me. All the employees, Cass, Rose, Anna, Evan, Mom- Dad, his Mom-Dad, Scott and even Blake too but that man for whom I was waiting since last night to wish me didn't wish me. Everytime my phone rings I grab it excitedly expecting it to be him but no. In the morning too he was acting all normal.

"Enough is enough." I shouted and picked my phone and called him. He picked up after few rings.

"Hey." He said in his usual voice.

"Hey. What are you doing?" I asked.

"Nothing. Just work. Why?"

"Umm... nothing I just wanted to ask that do you not remember what day is today?"

Oh God Ev! You are so desperate to get a wish from him that you are reminding him yourself about your birthday.

"Today? Oh yeah! Today is Friday." He replied.

"What the-"

Okay Ev calm down. Try again.

"Umm... not that. Is there something special today?"

"Today? As far as I remember it's not Rose's birthday, not Evan's neither Blake's nor yours. No. Nothing."

Calm down Ev.

I'll kill him. He remembers everyone's birthday but he forgot mine. How can he say it's not my birthday.

Try one more time.

"Umm... not that Xander. Something that you are forgetting you are really close. Just one step away. Do you remember now?"

"Umm.... Oh fuck! How could I forget this. Shit!"

Yass! Finally he remembered. Now he'll wish me.

"Ev I'm really sorry."

Ya you should be. You forgot my birthday.
Yass! Come on wish me fast.

"I have to go Ev. I have a meeting. Thanks for reminding me. Bye." With that he hung up.

Wait. What? I looked at my phone in disbelief. "Did he just hung up? He still didn't remember my birthday."

"Ugh!!"
I hate you so much Xander.

Why are you like this? You forgot my birthday but you remember everyone else's birthday.

I feel like crying right now.

It was 7 pm so I went down. Xander was already standing there leaning against his car waiting for me.

"Hey beautiful." I ignored him and got inside the car. The whole ride he kept talking but I didn't say anything.

Do you really expect me to say anything after he forgot my birthday?

I'll not talk to him for a whole month for forgetting my birthday.

When we finally reached home. His phone started ringing. "Ev you go. I'll just take this one." I rolled my eyes and went inside.

The whole house was dark as usual. I was so irritated that I didn't even switched on the lights. I was going upstairs when I stopped on my way. There were candles on the corner of the stairs. I turned around to see a small light coming from the dining room. I went there and saw there was a cake kept on the table. I sat on a chair staring at the cake. There were cupcakes too.

It looked so yummy.

It's beautiful.

Then my eyes fell on a sticky note kept on the table. I took it and read it.

A bright smile appeared on my face. I ran to my room. When I reached the bedroom I saw a bag kept there. I went towards it and picked it up. I looked inside there was a dress. I took it out.

It's beautiful.

Then again I saw a sticky note on the bed. I again read it.

Oh God! I was blushing hard.

I again ran to the washroom changed my clothes. I came out and applied some makeup. Again ran down.

The house was still dark but on the stairs there were candles so I managed to see another sticky note on the stair. I picked it up and read it.

I ran and switched on the lights.

"OH MY GOD!!"

"Wow!! It's so beautiful." I ran to the middle of the room and twirled.

Then again I saw a sticky note on the nearby table. I picked it up and read it.

I started crying while reading it.
"Happy Birthday Ev."

I turned back still crying. He was standing there smiling with hands in his pockets. I ran to him and hugged him tightly.

"Thank you. Thank you so much. This is the best birthday ever." He pulled away his hands rested on my waist.

"Birthday girl shouldn't cry."

I started hitting his chest. "You knew everything but still you didn't wish me. I wanted you to wish me first but see you are the last one to wish me."

"So you didn't like the surprise."

"I loved it and only this is the reason I forgive you for not wishing me first. Thank you so much. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you."

He chuckled "I love you too princess."

"Ev I have a surprise for you."

"What else?"

"Your birthday gift." I smiled at him.

"I'll just bring-" Xander was cut off by the ringing of the doorbell.

Xander groaned in frustration.

"Who could it be?"
