My heart stopped hearing that name.
I didn't had the strength to even move.
I stood there like a statue.

No. Please no. He is not here. No he can't be here.

I can't face him.

Evan released Blake's collar.
Both Blake and Rose turned around.

Rose's eyes widened looking at Xander. Her grip on Blake's arm tightened.

Blake stiffened.

I finally managed to look at Xander. He was just staring at Blake and Rose. Then his eyes travelled to Rose's hand which was holding Blake's arm. His face didn't had any expression.

"Alex." Evan said in a low tone.

Xander made his way towards Blake. He stood in front of him.

"Happy? You know what you should be." Xander said.

It felt like, I don't know this Xander. His face didn't show any emotion but his eyes, he was hurt.

"Alex." Blake said.

"You're not happy. Why? You finally took everyone whom I loved away from me. Now I only have Evan."

What does he mean by that? I am here too for him. Why is he saying this? It hurts.

No. Please ask him stop. I am here for him.

"Alex I-" Rose started but Xander cuts her off.

"Don't."

Rose's tears started falling down her cheeks. "Alex please listen to me."

"You knew I hated Blake, you knew everything that happened in the past but still." He said. "And Rose you lied to me."

"I-I am sorry." Rose said while crying.

"Sorry?" He scoffed.
"Ya I forgive you but I am sorry Roselyn Knight I can't trust you anymore."

Rose looked up at Xander "A-Alex. Please don't do this." She said in a broken voice.

"You have left me no choice Rose. You know I trusted you. I thought if I would give you time you'll tell me that whom are you dating. But you never came to me. Was I that cruel to you?" Xander asked. Pain was written all over his face.

Rose shook her head and said "No. You are the best brother."

"Stop it. If you would have considered that then you would have told me."

"Alex I just didn't wanted to lose you."

"So you were planning to never tell me about it. You know it hurts Rose, to know that my sister is hiding something like this from me. It hurts to know it from someone else."

He then turned to Blake "You really have a great affect on everyone. You made her a liar just like yourself."

"Alex I was going to talk to you." Blake said.

"Oh really? When exactly?"

"It's just that I didn't get the chance."

"As far as I got to know you both were dating each other for 3 years. Are you trying to tell me that in 3 fucking years you didn't get a single chance to tell me about this."

"You weren't ready to hear it."

"You won't decide that. You know I thought you've changed but no I was again wrong about you. You can never change. Bloody Liar."

Xander's eyes then finally landed on me. He stared at me for sometime then made his way towards me. My body shivering. He finally stood in front of me. My tears had already started flowing.

"I'll ask you one question." He said.

I kept looking down. Crying.

"Since when did you knew?" He asked.

I looked up at him. His eyes showed an emotion which I have never seen before not even then when he was telling me about Mason.

Broken.

"Xander I am-"

"When?"

"I-I-"

"Just answer the damn question Eveline." He growled and I flinched. He looked furious.

"I'll ask you one more time. Since when did you knew about it?"

I closed my eyes. "W-when I-I met Rose a-at your house b-before our marriage." I answered in a broken low voice but loud enough for him to hear it.

When I opened my eyes his jaw was clenched, his hand was formed into a fist. It was clear from his face that he was trying his best to control his anger.

"So Maddison was right you already knew everything before our marriage."

He shook his head and turned back to leave but I held his arm.

"Xander."

He didn't say anything.

"I'm sorry."

Again nothing.

"Please say something. I'm sorry."

"Leave."

I shook my head. "I promise I won't lie to you ever again but please talk to me."

"I don't believe in promises anymore."

"Don't do this please."

"You know I loved you. I loved you more than I have loved anyone. You were everything to me but you too... How could you? I told you everything about me. I was loyal to you and you. Never. Everything was a lie."

"No Xander. Nothing was a lie. Trust me Xander I won't do it again."

"Trust you? I am not making that mistake again Eveline Carter."

Listening to him my heart shattered into million pieces. After our marriage this is the first time he called me Eveline Carter. Still crying I looked in his eyes his eyes were also watery and red.

"Xander." I said in a broken voice.

He took a deep breath. Swallowing his tears he held my hand that was holding his arm and removed it. I kept looking at him. He turned around and went to his car.

"I'll go with him." Evan said to Cass.

Xander sat in his car. Evan got in beside him and he left.

Please tell me that it's a dream.

Please tell me that this didn't really happen.

Please tell me that he will come back to me.

Please tell me that he doesn't hate me.

Please tell me that he still loves me.

Ev stop Ev. This is not a dream.

I stumbled back and fell to the ground while crying.

Cass came to me and hugged me. Rose was crying holding Blake.

I cried my heart out hugging her.

"Ev."

"Why? Why did I lie to him? I-I broke his trust Cass. I lost him. I lost him forever."

"No Ev. You didn't lose him. He still loves you."

"No. He will hate me now. What have I done? He'll never forgive me."

"Ev stop crying." She kept telling me to calm down but I just couldn't.

"Alex slow down please." Evan said but I couldn't hear any voice right now.

My mind was filled with so many thoughts.

Everyone lied to me.

Everyone.

Mom.

Dad.

Rose.

Ev.

Finally I stopped the car. My mind was not working at all. I was not able to breathe properly. I got out of the car and yelled.

Evan came to me. "Alex."

I turned to him with tears flowing down my cheeks.

"Why? Why does Blake always gets what he wants and me, I always end up losing the people I love."

I fell on my knees to the ground.

"Rose and Ev meant the most to me but they too. The two women for whom I could do anything he took them away from me."

"I trusted Ev. I loved her but she broke my trust. All this time she lied to me. How could she? Even after knowing everything she didn't say anything."

"Alex stop."

"Why Ev? Why her? Why her? He could've taken anyone away from me but why her." I covered my face with my hand screaming in frustration.

"She is everything for me. The thought of losing her makes me crazy but I can't forgive her. I can't Evan."

Evan kneeled in front of me and hugged me.

Why Ev? Why?

"When Maddison told me that Ev knew about this I didn't trust her. Because I knew that my Ev would never lie to me but I was wrong."

"Calm down Alex."

You were the one who mended me and now you are the one who again broke me Ev.

When I came home it was already 8. I thought Xander would be back by now. But when I entered, the house was still dark which made it pretty clear that he has not returned yet.

I have to talk to him.

Okay I think then you should wait until he returns.

I knew I would fall asleep if I sat on the bed so I decided to sit on the poolside and wait for him. I kept waiting for him but he didn't came.

I saw the time it was 11 already.

Where the hell is he?

I didn't remember waiting for him when did I drifted off to sleep.

The sunlight hit my face. I rolled on the bed rubbing my eyes.

Wait. Bed?

I sat up.

I am pretty sure last night I slept on the couch at the poolside.

My eyes shot open. I looked around I was in our bedroom.

When did I come here?

As far as I know don't sleepwalk.

Then... Xander.

A smile formed on my face.

Yes it has to be him.

I quickly got up from the bed and went to the washroom. I brushed my teeth and waited for him.

I am sure he'll come. We can take a shower together.

After waiting for like 30 minutes when he didn't come I went down. I searched for him in the office but he was not there. Not even in the gym.

Maria was in the kitchen I went to her.

"Good morning." I greeted her.

"Good morning dear." She replied with a smile.

"Have you seen Xander? I couldn't find him anywhere."

"He didn't tell you?"

"Tell me what?"

"He already left. Maybe because you were asleep he didn't wake you up."

He left early. And didn't even tell me.

I know it is to avoid me. Last night too he came home late.

"Did he had his breakfast?" I asked her.

"Oh no dear. When I came he left that time only."

I nodded.

I then went upstairs and took my bath.

Did you seriously think that he would forgive you so easily.

I looked down fidgeting with the hem of my dress.

What should I do to make him talk to me again?

It's not that easy Ev.

I know. But I won't give up so easily.
