I was sitting in my room, I decided not to go out of the room as Alexander kept on ignoring me after yesterday evening. I heard a knock on my door. I went and opened the door. Maria was standing there with a dress in her hand. She came inside and said " Eveline, Alexander told me to give this to you. Its your reception today, you will be wearing this."

"Its beautiful. Thank you."

"If you need anything just call me once, I'll be downstairs."

"Okay." I said with a smile.

I fell asleep while watching a movie. When I woke up it was already 5pm. Oh shit. I have to be ready till 7. I ran to the washroom to fresh n up.

UGH. She has gone crazy.

I heard a knock on my door.

"Yes" I said. Then Xander entered my room. Okay I know I have said this infinite times but he looks hot as hell. God why did you have to make him so handsome. I can't stop checking him out.

Xander starred at me for a moment and said.

"We will be leaving now."

"Ya I am ready."

"I can see that. But there is something missing." I frowned and looked at the mirror.

"No, everything is fine." He came towards me and showed me a pendant.

"This is for you."

"Me?" he nodded. "Its beautiful." I said.

"May I?" he asked and I nodded.

I turned around and moved my hair on one side. I could feel his hot breath on my neck. I saw him from the mirror. He was already looking at me. He then put the pendant and looked at the mirror again and whispered in my ears in his sexy voice "You look beautiful Ev."

He called me Ev for the first time. OH MY GOD!

Why do I feel so hot. I turned around looked into his eyes "Y-you too."

"I look beautiful?" he asked in an extremely sexy voice.

"Y-ya...I mean no. Y-you look really handsome I mean you always do but-." Okay I give up. I can't say more. I looked down and bit my lips. I can feel him smirk.

"Let's go." Xander took my hand in his.

We reached the party destination. It was amazing.

"It's awesome."

"I am glad you liked it. By the way I think you'll like the cake more."

"Cake?" I asked all excited, he chuckled.

"WOW Xander. You really have a great taste."

"Xander? I like it." I blushed. We were staring in each others eyes when someone said. "Look the love birds are here." We turned to face them. It was Rose.

"Are we ready for the cake cutting?" Evan asked.

"Ya. I guess we are." Xander said looking at me.

"So ready." I replied with a smile.

"EV CUT THE CAKE FAST. I NEED TO TAKE SOME PICTURES." Cass shouted.

"You both look cute together." Anna said.

"My lovely children. God bless both of you." Mrs. Knight said smiling.

Don't you think he is being too sweet tonight. Ev something is wrong I don't feel good.

Shut up. For the first time he is being nice to me.

We cut the cake. Then a woman came towards us.

Doesn't she look familiar Ev?

Ya I have seen her somewhere.

"You both look really good together." She said looking at Xander.

"Oh, you think so? Thanks." Xander replied with a fake smile.

"So you are a married man now. But let me tell you one thing, we look better."

"Why am I not surprised to hear that from you?"

"Alex I know you don't love her, you can't because you only love me and I know you are being so nice to her just to make me jealous."

Wait. Is this the reason he was being so nice? NO! Please someone tell me this is not true.

I told you there is something wrong Ev.

"Make you jealous?" Xander scoffed. "Keep dreaming Maddison."

She is the model. With whom he was in a relationship.

Oh God this is not going to end well.

"I still love you Alex. I do. Please take me back in your life. I want you in my life."

"Why your boyfriend is not pleasuring you enough? With money and sex of course?"

"Alex that was all in the past." She looked extremely angry.

"We have guests to attend." With that Xander took my hand and took me away from her.

"I need to talk to you. Can we please go outside?" I said. I was just one inch away from crying. I just wanted to know that he did not do that to make her jealous.

"Ev we just came here. We can't go out now." Xander said stopping in the path looking at me.

"I said I need to talk to you. Now Xander." He looked at my eyes for sometime held my hand in his and took me to the garden.

"What the hell is wrong with you Ev? Why are you acting like this?"

"You tell me. What is wrong with you?"

"Me? What do you mean?"

"You are all of a sudden being so nice to me. Why? You don't even like me, then why?" he did not say anything and looked away. I think I know what this means.

I scoffed and said "She was right you were being so nice to me just to make her jealous. Xander its not true right? Tell me. Tell me its not true."

"No its not true. Yes I was being nice to you but its because I saw the media was there. I don't want any controversy about our marriage that's why I did it. Ev if you think that we can be together then I'm sorry to hurt you because it's not gonna happen. So just stop having hopes. In the end you will be the one getting hurt."

"I understand that we can never be together and I really don't want to have any hopes. But you are the one who give me hopes. At first you are so nice to me then all of a sudden you push me away. Stop hurting me Alexander. Just stop it. You very well know that I like you but still you play with my feelings. I am not your toy with whom you'll play one moment and other moment you'll throw it away." With that I left leaving him there alone. Tears were flowing from my eyes. I went to the washroom. I cried my heart out.

"Why is he like this? Why does he hurt me so much? I hate him. I hate him." Finally I decided to go out. I wiped my tears applying my makeup. I took a last look in the mirror and left.

I went out and saw Cass, Rose and Anna standing there I went to them.

"Ev there you are. We were waiting for you for so long. Hey did something happen between you two. When Alexander took you out I thought you won't return and will head home to finish your sexy stuffs." Anna commented.

We were talking and laughing. Well I guess I should not say 'we'. They were laughing and talking. I was just standing there lost in my own thoughts. And gave a fake smile whenever they laughed. I just wanted to go home. My home not his. I just wanted my old life back. Then Anna and Rose went to bring some drinks leaving me and Cass alone.

"Ev what is it?" Cass asked.

"Nothing." I tried to hide my tears and looked away from her.

"Ev I know there is something. You are not usually like this. Wait. Were you crying?" She asked looking at my face.

"Cass can we talk about it later please?"

"Ya, but you'll have to tell me everything later." I nodded. Anna and Rose came back.

"Hey guys I want to dance with Blake. Can you plan something out please." Rose said and looked at us with hope.

"Nah not happening." Cass said.

"If you want to be dead then please go, the dance floor is all empty waiting for you." Anna replied.

Just then I saw Alexander talking to someone but his eyes were on me. I looked away. After sometime talking to my friends. I excused myself from there. I met Scott on my way.

"Hey Ev."

"Hi Scott. I am glad you're here."

"Congratulations. I didn't get to say that on your wedding because I had some work so I had to leave. Here this is for you." He said and handed me a bouquet.

"Oh they are beautiful Scott. Thank you so much." Scott hugged me.

"I am happy for you Ev."

"Are you?" I asked with a suspicious expression.

"No." he said shaking his head. We both laughed.

"I am sure you will get someone more beautiful." I said smiling.

"I hope so."

After talking to him for sometime I moved away from him to take a drink. I kept the bouquet on the gifts table.

"One orange juice please." I said the waiter.

"You both look really close to each other." I turned around to see Alexander standing behind me with his hands in his pockets. "One wine for me" He ordered the waiter. I looked at him for a moment then turned back again.

"Ma'am your juice and sir your drink." The waiter said.

I took my drink turned around and was ready to leave but then Alexander came forward to take his drink. I couldn't move he was in front of me and a table was behind me. I was trapped.

"I asked you something." He asked keeping both his hands on either side of me. I looked away.

"I don't know who are you talking about."

"That guy you were hugging and talking to." His face was extremely close to me.

Ev remember you hate him. You hate him.

"Ya we are really close. You know what actually I forgot to tell you Alexander he was my boyfriend before our marriage."

"Whom are you fooling Ev. I know everything about you. You never had a boyfriend."

"So if you did so much research about me then you should have known how close we are. Let me go Alexander."

"Stop calling me that." He said and looked irritated.

"What?" I asked in confusion.

"Alexander. Stop with that name."

"Oh! So now you have a problem if I call you with your name. Tell me what should I call you now? Umm.... Alex? No I guess that name is just for the ones who are close to you and I am not among those. Then Mr. Knight or wait how about I call you Sir like everyone does or-."

"Just stop it Ev." He said in an extremely angry tone clenching his jaw.

"Let me go." I said in a low voice I am sure that he could see my eyes getting watery. He removed his hands from my side and I ran away from there.
