It was no longer a secret that Taehyung was nearing his death.

Although he tried to smile and show that he was fine, he was weak.

Nowadays, he was always writing. Writing in the book that Jimin had given him.

It worried everyone that he always had his head buried in a book but no one could stop him.

Taehyung had noticed that everyone's visits had become frequent.

They were always around, waiting for him to blink and the second he did, everyone was rushing to his side, asking for what he needed.

He wasn't going to lie, he enjoyed the extra attention but it was too much. He needed to breath but no one understood it.

Taehyung knew. He had known since the first day that he returned to the hospital that it wasn't working out.

He knew he wasn't going to get better.

It just made him wonder... If the hospital couldn't treat him, why didn't they transfer him to a different hospital that was properly equipped?

Why did he have to suffer like this?

Specialists his ass.

The "specialists" couldn't even treat him.

So what if he had a rare kind of cancer?

Couldn't they have done something better than what they did?

The sigh that slipped through his lips had Jungkook running to his side, his eyes wide with query and worry.

"Is something wrong? Do you need anything?"

"Um..." Taehyung said, feeble hands tapping his chin in thought, "how about... a kiss!" he said, his eyes glinting in the evening sun.

"Huh? Tae... I-"

"Please?"

Jungkook leaned towards him, placing a light kiss on Taehyung's lips.

His face lit up with a boxy smile. The widest it had been in a while.

"Thank you Jungkook." Taehyung whispered as he stared happily and silently at the ceiling.

He was in love. So in love. He felt like he was floating on clouds. High in the sky.

Speaking of clouds...

"Jungkook?" Taehyung rasped, turning to face his lover who had a small smile on his face.

"Hm Tae?"

"I love you."

"I love you more." Jungkook whispered.

"Can I ask for a favor?"

"Anything baby. Anything."

"Can you... Can you take me outside? I haven't been out in a while and I miss the sky... Besides, it's almost sunset."

"Tae... I'm not so sure..."

"Please Jungkook. It's been a while. I really have to. Before I..."

"Don't. I'll go ask a nurse if I can take you outside."

"Thanks love. I'll be waiting." Taehyung said as a giddy smile spread on his face and the feeling of excitement all over his body.

He was finally going out again.

Jungkook left the room, a small smile on his face.

Taehyung loved this boy. With all of his heart.

Jungkook returned a few minutes later, with a nurse.

"Jungkook said you wanted to go outside?"

"Yes... Please?" Taehyung pleaded as he looked out of the window.

"Sure." The nurse said as she pushed in the wheel chair, she and Jungkook helping Taehyung into it.

They stopped halfway as Jungkook carried his boyfriend bridal style and kept him on the chair.

It hurt Jungkook's heart that Taehyung had become so light. He was a paper in human form.

"Are you comfy?" Jungkook asked Taehyung as he placed a kiss on his forehead.

Taehyung hummed and the nurse wheeled him out of the room and into the elevator.

The familiar 'ding' of the elevator was heard and Taehyung was wheeled out of the elevator.

Luckily, the hospital had a small garden.

Was it supposed to be called a garden if it had trees?

Taehyung didn't know but he was going out of the building.

He was wheeled into the clearing and Jungkook took the handles of the wheelchair from the nurse.

"Are you alright baby?" Jungkook asked, a smile on his face.

Taehyung's smile was contagious.

"Perfect." Taehyung whispered as he stared at the sky. It was beautiful.

As always.

"It's beautiful..." Taehyung whispered, taking note of the orange that was taking its place in the sky.

"Yeah..." Jungkook said as he stared at Taehyung.

Taehyung cleared his throat.

"You know... When I was younger, my dad used to take me to watch the sunset..." Taehyung said, a small find smile on his lips, "when it turned orange, I used to tell him that the angels up there were sweeping heaven and the orange was all the dust that was rising from the ground."

Jungkook chuckled as he sat down in front of Taehyung's wheelchair, looking up at the sky.

"Do you still think that way?" he asked.

"Sometimes. I still wonder if they're sweeping the sky."

"That's cute."

"No. It's dumb." Taehyung said, shaking his head gently.

Jungkook turned to face him, grinning from ear to ear.

"Well, I think it's cute. Like you. Cute thinking for a cute boy like you."

"Jungkook." Taehyung said.

"What? You're cute." Jungkook said, kneeling in front of the older.

"It's not that."

"Is something wrong? Do you want to go inside?"

"No. Not that either."

"What's wrong?"

Taehyung sighed.

"When I... When I pass... I want you to move on."

"No. Don't say anything. You're not going anywhere. You'll get better."

"Jungkook. You know... You know that's not true." Taehyung said, feeling the familiar tingle in his nose and tears filling his eyes.

"Tae..." Jungkook whispered as Taehyung tried to help himself to the ground.

"Please hold me." Taehyung whispered as he sat in front of Jungkook who finally sat behind him, wrapping his muscular arms around Taehyung's frail body.

I can't..." Jungkook whispered in the crook of Taehyung's neck.

"You can Kookie. It's what's best for you."

"Let's... Let's not talk about this now. Let's just enjoy the view hm?" Jungkook said as he choked on his tears.

Taehyung nodded his beanie covered head, letting tears fall freely down his face.
