Matti Williams

I'm not into lovey-dovey things.

Because the only love I've ever received was from my coaches and my fans. My parents had me hardwired from the second I could walk that I was made to be better than anyone else. Life was a competition and I should show no weakness. Therefore, I didn't get made a bowl of mac and cheese after practice, nor did I get dino nuggets with loads of ketchup on the side.

Life was a game and everyone else was the competition.

From an early age I felt this deep connection with football because, at the end of every game I won, I felt like a champion. I had won the game of life and beat the competition.

My parents were more business-driven, especially my dad because he didn't make it into the NFL. This is why he pushes me so hard that the only thing I should focus on is football. My mother, on the other hand, was the typical sports team mom that made everyone cookies after practice.

She showed up to every one of my games with a pin that had a picture of my face on it. She wore hoodies with my name and number on the back of them. Not to mention the fact that she always had friends, they weren't of course always real. Most of them are trying to pawn their daughters off for a hand in marriage with a future NFL player.

I didn't go to a school dance with one chick, I went with all the bitches. Because one just wasn't enough. And as soon as I got to college it was all the same. The sisters and cheerleaders were holy water hallelujah hot. I wanted all of them at the same time. After I was done with them, I wouldn't need it anymore. Because I didn't have the lovey-dovey traits. No cuddling after sex, no waking up early to go make breakfast. None of that.

Feelings make you weak.

"Ow Matti what the fuck! Not so hard," I looked down at Chloe while she pulled my dick out of her mouth gagging. I gripped the steering wheel in my jeep to the point where my knuckles turned white.

I removed one of my hands and placed it on her head rubbing it slowly, she looked at me and smiled.

That was of course until I slammed her mouth back down on my dick, which resulted in her immediately choking. My hand found a rhythm on the back of her head. I made sure I was getting what she was worth.

Oops.

I needed a release. I had pent up emotions that I shouldn't have had in the first place because of the ray of sunshine that was in my room. Something inside of me sparked when she laughed that ugly laugh of hers. But I couldn't feel like that, it was a weakness.

I didn't have time for weakness.

I need time for football and only football.

But she was not like any other girl. First, she snorts when she laughs. Second, I watched snot run out of her nose while she cried because of me. Thirdly, she's emotional, but she doesn't put up with my shit. Naomi Black was a force for me to be reckoned with.

"Naomi..." I moaned as I suddenly felt myself on the edge.

And then suddenly it stopped.

"What the fuck did you just say, Matti?" Chloe sat up red in the face and teary-eyed as she was just choking on my dick for the last ten minutes. I shook my head at her, "Nothing Chloe. Now are you going to finish what you started or am I going to have to find Alyssa?" I threw back words of venom in her face.

"No. Did you just call me Naomi? Like Naomi from the party?" I rolled my eyes. Here we go, she thinks she has some claim on me since we occasionally fuck.

"Chloe, get out of my car." Her eyes raised.

"Are you kidding me, Matti Williams? After I sucked your dick you can't even take me back to my sorority?" She looked shocked. "Chloe, I would've driven you back if you hadn't made a scene like this and made me finish. Get out." She gasped, grabbed her purse, opened the door, and then slammed it as she ran away from my jeep like a deer in headlights.

I sighed and tucked my now soft and irritated dick back into my sweatpants.

Turning on the engine I headed down the road towards my house. Practice today was a bitch, and I couldn't get my tiny brunette off of my mind. Chloe was easy.

No emotions and no feelings. This was life and it was a game.

I pulled into the driveway and saw all of the boy's cars. A full house of captains tonight. I walked up the pathway to the front door and threw it open. "Are you fucking kidding me, Blake? You want to kill me now mother fucker!" Reese is yelling from the living room where he and Blake are playing video games.

"You fucking deserve it you pussy! Look at your killstreak compared to mine. You were never going to win anyways." Blake replied while smirking. The next thing I knew, Reese threw his controller and headset off and tackled Blake off the side of the couch.

Immature boys.

I walked into the kitchen to find Griffin sitting there by himself eating a bowl of cereal. He looked up from his phone and nodded his head in acknowledgment towards me. "What's up, bro?" I asked him.

"Nothing much Mr. Williams, what's up with you?" He wiggled his eyebrows at me. I opened the fridge and grabbed out my juice and shrugged. He slammed both of his hands on the counter in front of him on either side of the bowl. "Now that we are both alone and we can both talk, what happened yesterday?" He questioned with a smirk on his face.

"I don't know what you're talking about Johnson." I looked him dead in the eye. He raised his eyebrows at me, "I'm not letting you do this." What the hell?

"Do what?" I asked.

"You're not doing this whole 'I'm prince charming but I don't have emotions' charade to Naomi. She is like a little sister to me." I laughed at him. "You don't know what you're talking about Griff," He rolled his eyes at me.

"You like her." He stated.

"I don't like any girls for that matter," I spoke.

He laughed, "Williams you're such a liar. You let her in your room! Since when are we taking girls we don't see a future within our rooms! Quit being in denial that you finally feel something for someone."

"If I felt anything for anyone or her, why would I have just got my dick sucked by a sorority sister? Why would I still pull girls?" I asked him as he shrugged, "I don't know man. Maybe because you're too scared that you care for the girl."

Do I care for her?

I mean, I did apologize to her. And she is one of my friends so I feel a bit of care for her. It's not the type of care that I would say I do. I have feelings for her.

Even If I did have these feelings for her, I would never admit it. Lovey-dovey shit is overrated. I don't do lovey-dovey shit.

"You don't understand what it is like man," I said. Griff rolled his eyes, "Understand what 'what' is like? I've been with Nat since last semester and I'm not letting go of her no matter how much she hates the fact that I want to go to the NFL. She knows that her dream profession doesn't line up with mine. I have to sacrifice making her my girlfriend or going any farther because I know I like her and she likes me too, but we don't get in the way of each other's passions..."

"Exactly why Black won't be getting in the way of my passion," I replied. "That's not what I meant Matti. You have her in your life as your lover right, well add in football. She's just as dedicated to a school as you are to being in the NFL. You guys don't have to be together, but she will be your biggest cheerleader." He suggests.

I shrug my shoulders, "I can't have both Griffin. I can't do both."

He rolled his eyes, "Yes you can, you just don't want to. You won't know what could happen unless you try."

"I don't want to," I responded while grabbing a bottle of water and waving bye to him. Truth be told, I think I maybe did feel something for Naomi. I can't decipher if it was more of a sister feeling, a best friend feeling, or if I had a large crush on her.

She was gorgeous, she was funny, dedicated, passionate, nice, and she wasn't afraid to be herself. But somehow, I don't think she will be able to fit in with me even if I take her on as a part-timer.

But it doesn't mean I couldn't try.

Walking into my room, I laid on my bed and turned on the television to watch my highlights. For the longest time, it's only been just football and I. But Naomi Black was a ray of sunshine. I couldn't help myself. She was the perfect girl, she was immensely nice to look at and even better to have a conversation with.

The video of the Michigan State game flipped from the field to the student section and right on the camera, looking at me directly on the television was none other than the brunette that my mind somehow couldn't kick-off.

I turned off the television and groaned, rubbing my eyes.

I already had the worst sexual frustration built up since I let Chloe leave before finishing but now I started to develop a headache from Naomi having a presence in the back of my head.

I turned my head to the left to try to close my eyes and take a nap but something caught my eye. It was a sparkly blue and white hair tie that was on my bedside table next to my tissue box.

I knew right away who the owner of that hair tie was.

Is this a sign?

Griffin's voice rang through my head 'You won't know unless you try'. I picked up my phone and clicked on my Instagram app. I searched up the tiny brunette's name and low and behold, there she was in her profile picture.

She was undeniably pretty but she was so far from my type.

I hit the follow button and then clicked the messenger app.

"Come over?" I pressed the send message button and waited for a reply.

Was that message too much? Was she thinking that I'd only want to get into her pants? I mean I do. But should I have spiced that up a bit?

My phone rang after a minute.

"Depends, are you supplying the snacks?" She responded.

I smirked, "I'm already going to be there."

The bubbles popped up showing that she was replying, "There will be none of that Mr. Williams."

More bubbles popped up, "Be there in twenty." She added.

I smirked and threw my phone onto the gamer chair that was across from my bed. We're just friends, friends hang out all the time.

"What the hell are you smiling at? You look like a freak dude," Blake spoke while walking into my room with a plate of hot pockets.

"Nothing, no PlayStation tonight." I spoke as I watched his face fall. "Bro, what do you mean no PlayStation tonight? We always play PlayStation and hot pockets!" He whined.

"... I have a girl coming over." I looked at him while his eyebrows raised. "Not the prude one that won't put out! C'mon man! Take her to the rooms downstairs. Don't let me suffer!" He whined as I chucked a pillow at him.

"She won't put out...yet," I responded as he smirked. "Ahhhh, you the man Williams. You the man." He set down the hot pockets specifically to come fist bump me then to grab the plate again and walk out of the room.

My phone buzzed and it was a message from Naomi saying she was on her way, I double tapped it so she knows I saw her message.

I knew she wouldn't put out now, but I knew if we worked at it she definitely would. However, I was a one and done kind of guy. As I said, I don't do lovey-dovey stuff. If this friendship were to go down a different path, then so be it. In my opinion, it is a bonus for both of us, not just me. I just know, she would be the one catching feelings. Not me.

I straightened up my room and sprayed my cologne everywhere and on me. I started heading for the stairs when our doorbell rang. "I got it!" I yelled so none of the boys wouldn't answer it.

"We weren't going to get it anyway! There's a new episode of The Bachelor tonight!" Reese yelled back as I rolled my eyes.

Approaching the door, I opened it and looked down at the tiny brunette wearing a black PSU Football hoodie and leggings.

Leggings that made her ass look fanfuckingtastic.

"Hey." She greeted me and smiled at me.

I smirk looking down at her, "Hey you." I grabbed her arm pulling her into the house. "Woah Woah, no manhandling." I laughed.

"Are you fucking kidding me! Even Chris Harrison looks pissed!" Reese yells from the living room while Naomi smiles.

"Big Bachelor fans?" She asked while looking up at me and I nodded. Before I could drag her upstairs to keep her out of Griffin's smartass sight and Reese's obsessive composure, she took off towards the living room.

Well, there goes my chances of not getting an 'I told you so look' from Griffin.

"Naomi Black! My babydoll!" Reese exclaims while letting go of the bowl of popcorn he was holding and it goes all over Blake that looks beyond furious at the fact that popcorn is now mixing with the HotPockets.

"In the flesh," She says while his large figure is squeezing her in a hug. "Hi boys." She looks towards Blake, Griffin, and Caden.

"Oh Miss Black. It's weird to see your presence here." Griffin states while smiling at me.

I'm going to kill him.

"Okay, we're going upstairs, goodbye," I speak as I drag her away. Whistles were heard as we were walking to the top of the stairs.

"Good group of friends you got," She says as I nod. "The best," I responded while we reached my room. She walks over to my bed and lays down. "You just love my bed don't you, Black?" I tease her while she chucks one of my pillows towards me.

"Wow, you've got an arm. Might have to recruit you for the second string." We both laugh as I grab my remote and lay on the bed next to her. "What do you want to watch?" I ask.

She hums, "Can we watch Bring it On?" I laughed. "Out of all things, you want to watch a cheerleading movie?" She glares at me.

"Alright, Bring it On it is," I say while she cheers.

"So where are the snacks?" She asks as I shrug, "I don't know what you're talking about." I look forward as her mouth drops open in shock.

"Careful Black, close your mouth or I might have to put something in there for ya," I smirk as her mouth closes instantly. Little does she know I have a snack cabinet in my room, it was called the stash room for a reason. I got up and walked towards my cabinets.

"So Naomi, I have an endless supply of whatever your needs may desire, including me of course, now come pick out whatever and however much you want," I say and she leaps off the bed.

"No way. I might be in your room more often. Look at all of these Sour Patch Kids!" She exclaims while grabbing them. "I thought athletes aren't supposed to consume all of this sugar?" She asks as I nod. "I mean, it's not bad for us. It's okay to splurge. I have it after a bad practice." We both go to lay on the bed as the Bring It On introduction starts.

"So why did you invite me over randomly?" She asked while shoving candy in her mouth and looking at me. I looked over at her and shushed her. "The movie is starting," I spoke while she laughed.

We sat in silence for a few minutes watching Brittnay and Winnie go at it before I looked at her again. "I wanted to hang out." She nodded.

"You wanted to hang out. But we just hung out after class the other day. You missed me that much?" She giggled.

"Duhhh. How could I not miss my new best friend." She looked at me and smiled.

"I was confused as to why a verified Instagram account user was messaging me randomly at eight at night." She said,

"Did you follow me back?" I asked as she laughed. "Like your ass needs another follower to inflate your head even more!"

"Your follow would inflate my head. But not the one you're thinking of." I smirked as she smacked my arm and giggled.

"The movie is on. Be quiet." She responded ignoring my comment.

"We both know you aren't going to make it through the movie Black." I looked at her as her eyes immediately shot back to mine.

"Don't give me those eyes," I spoke as she laughed. "I don't know what you're talking about Williams!"

"You know exactly what I'm talking about Naomi." She shrugged, "Maybe I do."

I smirked as we both turned our heads back towards the television playing the movie that we were doing a horrible job of watching.

I cleared my throat as I watched some stupid cheer routine.

She cleared her throat, mocking me.

She turned to look at me while still laying on the bed.

"You know why I think you called me over here?" She asked as I hummed. "I think you want to fuck me." I choked on my spit.

"Woah now Miss Black. Those are some pretty explicit words coming from your mouth." I spoke.

"I just wanted to let you know it's not happening." I nodded and continued to watch the movie.

Matti Mentality Baby.

I stretched my arm out all the way reaching to her outside shoulder resting it there. I made no facial movements as I felt her stare upon my face. "Excuse me, sir, I think you've mistaken my body for one of your pillows." She said as I smiled.

"Shut up, Black," I responded.

"I wasn't complaining." I looked at her and smiled.

Brittany's ugly crying in her bathroom came on and I started laughing, "she cries like you, Naomi."

Naomi scoffs and smacks my arm, "As if. My cry does not look like that."

I laughed in response.

Christ, the sexual tension in this room is ridiculous.

I grabbed her shoulder with my arm that was draped around her and slowly started pulling her close to me. I can see from the corner of my eye she was blushing even in the darkroom.

"Matti-" She spoke but I shushed her. "Matti Williams." She said seriously.

I looked down at her waiting for her to respond but she froze her eyes looking at mine.

Fuck.

I have to look away before I get a raging boner.

A soft hand grabbed my chin and turned my face back to hers. "You might call the plays on the field. But with us, I call the plays." I laugh at her and she laughs back. I immediately wanted to tell her that there was no us, but I decided to let her roll with it.

"Ok Black. You call the plays." I assure her. But she looks up at me between her eyelashes and I know at that point, I'm a fucking goner.

I get face to face with her, so close that our noses are almost touching. "Call a timeout Black." I start leaning closer towards her lips while I'm waiting for her to call it.

Closer.

Our noses are touching.

"Williams, I'm not calling the time out." She breathes out as our lips finally touch.

And at this point, I can finally say that I am fucked.
