wandering alone.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The next morning when Y/N woke up, her body was aching in several places. Her arms felt really sore and her shoulders felt really stiff.

She got up and tried stretching to relieve some of her aches bur, nothing seemed to be working.

The hot shower that she took last night should have helped her like it always did, but it seemed fo have not worked.

She looked at the clock in her room and was surprised to find out that it was currently 10a.m. .

She had never slept this long.

As she made her way to her bathroom, a throbbing pain surfaced in her head. She merely placed one hand on her head while the other grabbed the table near her to balance her swaying body. She felt quite dizzy and her body felt rather uneasy.

Before she knew it, she was rushing to open the door and was pouring out all of last night's contents.

~~~~~~~~~~
The pale yellow liquid was such a disgusting sight that it made her want to throw up again.
Her throat was aching and the headache was now an intense pain. Her body felt rather weak. She was radiating such a warmth that it would be enough to make one to start sweating if they were to be in the same room as her.
She rinsed her mouth after she was sure that she would not be vomitting anytime soon.
Grabbing her head, she made her way to her bed where she laid down and pulled the comforters up to her neck.
It is quite surprising how one can go from feeling warm one second to feeling the harsh icy cold the second when you are sick.
Within seconds, she was whisked away into the world of dreams or in her case, the world of terror.
Nightmares.
Jisung's POV
"Hey guys, is Y/N awake?" I heard Ten hyung asking as I sipped my vanilla smoothie.
"No, I don't think she has woken up yet. Pretty surprising if you ask me since she is one of the first few to rise." Renjun commented, voicing out his thoughts.
"Maybe someone should go check on her." Lucas hyung suggested.
"Why don't I go?" Doyoung exclaimed.
Something in me spoke before my mind could process my actions.
"Hyung, why don't I check up on her? I am going to my room right now to get something." Jisung quickly covered up his suggestion with a lie, something that he had mastered over the years.
Rather surprised at the younger one's suggestion, the others merely nodded their head, watching his back disappear from the dining room.
~~~~~~~~~~

Okay , Jisung, you got this. Just open the door and barge right in.

That is exactly what he did.

And, god bless him for actually barging through the door as he barely made it on time, catching Y/N's body falling to the ground.

~~~~~~~~~~
Y/N's POV
The intense throbbing pain had now seemed to have been replaced with a dull one that was hardly felt as she felt herself waking up.
As she opened her eyes, she came face to face with unfamiliar plain white walls. She glanced around to take in her surroundings. She lifted up her hand, only to be met with the sight of a tube attached to it leading to an IV.
Where am I ?
"Hey, take it easy, alright." A voice echoed through the room, rushing to her aid. Y/N squinted her eyes trying to focus on the person. However, it took up too much of her energy causing her to close her eyes and rest her head back on the pillow again.
The next time when she woke up, she heard the squabbling of some hushed voices. She merely recognised the faint outline of some figures before falling back into a state of unconsciousness.
Third Person's POV
Finally, after what felt like forever to them, she woke up feeling slightly better.
There were only the two of the present in the room at that time.
"Hey, do you feel any better?" Johnny asked as he moved towards her, adjusting her pillow so that she could sit upright.
"Wa-water," She croaked out, her voice all raspy and hoarse for having not used it for quite awhile.
Johnny rushed to get her a glass of water, passing it to her to drink.
"How long have I been out?" She asked after gulping down the water within seconds. Her throat felt much more refreshed and cooler too.
"About 2 days." Johnny spoke as he picked up a file kept on a table in the room.
"Can you tell me what had happened to me?" She questioned.
"Maybe, I should get the others first." He stated. As he turned around, Y/N latched onto his wrists preventing him from going any further.
"Wait. I want to know what happened to me without the others being here, please?" She beseeched, her doe-like eyes becoming bigger and her voice a lot softer than before.
Johnny hesitated a bit before dragging a chair in the room to sit beside her.
He flipped the file open which she presumed had her diagnostics.
"I ran some tests on you. You had a 41.8 degrees celsius fever. In case you didn't know, this could potentially have killed you. Thank god Jisung rushed you to the sickbay on time or God forbid what could have happened to you. It seemed to have been caused by a lack of nutrition and also seemed like your body might have reacted after facing some cold weather."
At this, a sheepish-looking Y/N scratched the back of her neck nervously, regretting her previous actions.
Johnny raised her eyebrows at her, probing her to explain herself.
"I may or may not have stayed at the roof for a longer time than I would have expected about two nights before." She confessed, the tips of her ears turning red, indicating a sign of embarrassment.
"That was very foolish of you Y/N. Do you understand how severe the consequences could have been if your temperature had been slightly higher? Not just that, do you know how stressed everyone was regarding your well-being? This isn't a matter to be taken lightly. Your life was in serious danger." Johnny chided her, trying to get her to understand the severity of her actions.
"I am sorry. I didn't mean to stress all of you out or put my life in risk." A solemn looking Y/N apologised for her actions.
"Look, I just hope you don't repeat this again."
"I promise." Y/N rushed to convince him that she would not be this irresponsible again.
"However, I wasn't done with your diagnostics. It seems like the driving factor behind you fainting was due to exhaustion. In other words, the lack of sleep. I am not going to assume anything but, I suspect that you have nightmares which is why you don't sleep often." Johnny guessed.
His accurate guess caused Y/N to look everywhere but, at him.
"Is there something you haven't told us?"
"I...I..." She stuttered trying to come up with coherent words to form yet another lie.
"No, lies. If I can help you in any way possible, I need the truth." Johnny pleaded for her to tell the truth.
The room was rather silent after that. Nobody spoke for a couple of minutes. Y/N took that time to think about what she was going to say and how she was going to explain what happens to her at night.
After much contemplation, she finally arrived at a conclusion.
"I could tell you but, you're going to have to keep it between only us."
"Can you do that?"
~~~~~~~~~~

Johnny made his way out of the room and around the stairs as he walked into the living room.

"She's awake now." He notified them, reminding them to go in a few at a time.

"Maybe, Jisung should go in first. I mean he was the one who technically brought her to the sickbay." Mark proposed.

Jisung became a stuttering mess as he tried convincing his hyungs to go inside instead.

Taeil could not take it anymore. He ended up grabbing Jisung by his hand and dragging him into the room before slamming the door shut.

"There, now my ship can sail."

~~~~~~~~~~
Scared would be an understatement when Y/N heard the door slam open and a person being thrown inside, before the door closed.
She was petrified.
The sudden actions had caused her to jolt upright immediately causing a slight pain to rush through her head.
"Ahhh...Poop." The familiar voice cussed, panicking because he did not know how to help her.
That word had caused her to stifle her laughter behind her hands, before bursting into a full-blown laughter.
Her loud laughter echoed through the room. Tears were rolling down her cheeks as her immature self could not take that word.
At this, even the young boy could not help but let chuckles resound from his throat before taking a seat next to her.
That day something sure had changed between the two of them but, they just could not place a finger on it.
Have you ever felt something so unfamiliar yet, familiar at the same time. Have you ever felt something so wrong become something so right?
