I was so relieved to hear that Dawson and Gary were still locked up and pled guilty. I walk back to my cubical and smile when I see my tulips on the desk. I notice that Nick is sitting at his cubicle so I sit down and lean over to him.

"Nick hey Ridge just came by to tell me that Dawson and Gary pled guilty to the crimes so now they are waiting on sentencing," I said.

"Holy shit! I can't believe they pled guilty. Wonder what happened there?" He asked.

"I'm just wondering if maybe his dad found out what he has done and made him plead guilty. He was always so good to me when I worked for him. I probably will never find out." I sigh.

"Don't worry at least they are locked up now and you and your bean are safe," Nick whispered.

"That's right I got to focus on the good stuff like at lunch Lonnie and I are going shopping I need to find a nice dress for our date tomorrow night," I said.

"Oooh Ridge is taking you out on a date Saturday? Do you know where?" Nick asked.

"No he won't tell me but he gave me two hundred to find a nice dress and shoes. I smile.

"Can I tag along with you girls?" Nick asks.

"Sure if you want to I guess. Will you be ok without food? because we will be shopping for our whole lunch hour unless I find something quick." I laugh.

"Yeah I'm good are you saying I'm fat or something?" Nick laughs.

"No of course not." I smile.

"Alorah dear can you come up here for a second?" May said.

I look at Nick wondering what is up. I get up and walk up to May to ask what she needed when I saw Dawson's dad standing there.

"Alorah please don't run off I would just like to speak to you for a moment please." He said.

"Ok walk back to the break room and after what Dawson has done I'm bringing a friend with me," I said.

I grab Nick and drag him to the break room with me. We all sit down at the table and I wake for him to speak.

"Alorah listen I had no idea what Dawson was doing or was up to and I'm really ashamed of what he has become. I came yesterday so I could go to his hearing today and I debated trying to get in touch with you but I really just wanted to say how sorry I am." He said.

"Listen Mr. Wiles it's not your place to say sorry and you were just as fooled as I was. I really enjoyed working for you and I hated to leave and after my car accident and burns I stayed here and I'm happy to say I'm in love and it was the best decision I ever made." I said.

"I'm happy for you Alorah I really am. I am so ashamed of my son I never thought he would do what he has done and I just wanted to see you one last time before I head back to North Carolina." He said.

"Thank you for coming but you don't need to apologize that needs to come from your son and I won't hold my breath for that nor do I hope to ever see him again," I said.

"I won't take up much more of your time but Alorah I wish you all the happiness in the world and if you ever need anything don't hesitate to call me ok?" He said standing up to walk out the door.

"Thank you Mr. Wiles be careful going back to North Carolina." I smile as he walks out the door.

I sit back down a second and blow out a breath of air. "Wow I didn't see that coming in a million years but he was always so good to me and he can't help what his son has done," I said.

"No he cant but it was nice of him to come by he looked so defeated," Nick said.

"He was always so proud of Dawson and the lawyer he had become and all he ever wanted to be was for us to get married and have children and thank god I never did either with him," I said.

"Looks like its time for lunch lets go get Lonnie and get shopping." Nick laughs.

After picking up Lonnie we go downtown to the same boutique that Anna owns and look around and I find this beautiful Black off the shoulder knee-length dress and a nice pair of black shoes with rhinestones on them that Nick picked out and Lonnie picked out a beautiful necklace to go with the outfit. After I bought everything we walked across the road to speak to Lonnies aunt before heading back to work.

"Ridge is going to love that dress," Lonnie said.

"Oh he's going to enjoy taking it off." Nick laughs.

"Ok you two! I won't tell you either way." We laugh heading back into work when I look up and see Mr. Wiles sitting on a bench outside the hospital.

"Hold up a second guys Mr. Wiles is still here." Nick sits down on a bench with Lonnie and waits on me.

"Mr. Wiles are you ok?" I ask walking up.

"Alorah yes I'm fine just sitting here thinking where I went wrong with him." He said sadly.

"Listen here it wasn't anything that you or I have done. Do you know how all of this happened?" I asked.

"No, I don't have any idea." He said.

"Well I do and I'll be glad to share it with you," I said.

After I told him everything he stood up and sighed. " I appreciate you telling me everything and I'm so sorry he put you through all this and I hope by the time he gets out he will of changed. I better get going now you know how my wife gets when I'm late for supper." He laughed.

"Be careful going back and send her my love. If you ever need me you know where I am." I smiled.

"I know you said you are in love but I must say you are glowing. Have a good life Alorah." He said as he walked off.
