When Avah got home she was very quiet. I could tell something was wrong but I left her along while she cooked with Violet.

After we eat I went to watch tv while and she went upstairs with Violet to help her get ready for bed.

Once she came down she looked tired and had something on her mind. She said down beside me and I pulled her close. "What's on your mind Avah? You have been quiet ever since you got home."

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to be just lots on my mind. That woman who has been following me she cornered me in the grocery store." She said.

"What the hell. She did what?" I asked.

"Yeah I tried to walk off and she grabbed my arm. Said she just wanted to talk and that her name is Stephanie." She said.

"Did she say what she wanted?" I ask.

"No said she knew she went about it all wrong but she just wants to talk. I told her to call the office and make an appointment and I got out of there." She said.

"Why didn't you call me?" I ask.

"What could you do? I was in a public place and I have my gun." I said.

"I realize that but you are now carrying our baby and this woman isn't going to cause you to lose our baby," I said getting angry.

"I'm sorry I didn't call Levi. I was frazzled." She said.

"I'm not mad at you baby. I'm just worried." I said pulling her close kissing the top of her head.

"If she wants to be civil I will talk with her and see what she wants. Maybe she will leave me alone after that." She said.

"I think you need someone with you like me, Gray, Remi, or even Melly. But don't be alone with her." I said.

"I'm sure Melly will sit in. As soon as she saw me today and I told her I moved in she guessed our secret. I hope you're not mad." She said.

"I would never be mad. It's hard to contain it. I almost told Gray this morning." I laugh.

"I would like to be at least twelve weeks before we tell but if we can't wait I won't be mad either." She said smiling at me.

I lean in and kiss her. When my lips touch hers she makes me feel so loved I just want to pick her up and carry her to bed.

"I wish I could pick you up and carry you to bed and make love to you," I said.

"I can't wait until the day that you can Levi. But didn't you like last night?" She asked.

"Oh fuck I've dreamed about it all day long. Yes, I loved it." I wink at her.

"You already put a baby in me." She whispers.

"And I had fun doing it and hope to spend the rest of my life doing it with you." I smile.

"The rest of your life huh? You are a sweet talker Levi." She smiles.

I pull her close and kiss her again. "Let's go to bed baby and get a good night's sleep. If you need me to go with you tomorrow I can do that."

"I appreciate you being all protective of me but I think I will be ok." She smiled.

We got changed and situated in bed. She snuggled up to me and we kissed a bit before both of us dozed off to sleep.

The next morning came early and Avah woke me up getting out of the bed and jumping in the shower. She is nervous about today but if she says she can handle it I'm not going to smother her.

Violet stood in the doorway and smiled. "Good morning daddy!" She said.

"Morning munchkin now come hug me. Why are you standing there.?" I asked.

"I didn't want to intrude now that Avah lives with us." She said looking around.

"That's very grown-up of you munchkin but Avah is in the shower. Are you ready for school?" I ask.

"I am I just want Avah to braid my hair if she has time. My friend at school is jealous of all my braids." She giggles.

"Well, I'm sure Avah will fix them for you," I said.

"Fix what?" Avah asked coming out of the bathroom in her black scrubs.

"I want you to braid my hair please." Violet smiles.

"Of course just let me get some gel in this fuzzy hair of mine." She laughed.

I watched how Avah put every braid in Violet's hair and was amazed and knew I could never repeat that.

"Your hair looks pretty munchkin," I said.

"Thanks, daddy! everyone loves it and I'm the talk of my class." She smiles.

"I'm guessing that's a good thing." I chuckle.

"Oh, it is! My teacher said that you or uncle Gray had stepped up your game and I told her nope I got a new mom." She smiled.

Avah turned around and looked at me and I winked at her as they walked out of the room to fix violet some breakfast.

Wasn't long until Gray walked in. "Morning little brother how's it going?" He asked.

"It's going! Violet just informed me she's the talk of her class with those braids." I chuckle.

"Oh yeah, she told me that the other day. He laughed.

"She's growing up so fast," I said.

"How are things going? They seem good." He said.

"They are besides that stalker cornered Avah in the grocery store yesterday. She apologized how she's been creeping but just wants to talk." I sighed.

"What the fuck Levi!" He said.

"I know but Avah told her to make an appointment and she's willing to sit down and listen to her and I don't like that at all," I said.

"Are you sitting in on this meeting?" He asked.

"I wished but she said Melly could. Her best friend and boss at work. But I'm worried man." I said.

"Well, I would be too. But she carries protection right?" Gray asked.

"Oh yeah for sure." I sigh.
