CHRIS POV

HAILEY WAS MISSING FOR THE PAST FEW HOURS. Bree, Carter and I were searching for her for the past several hours. I noticed that she had gone missing when she didn't attend school today, that girl would not skip school unless she was very sick or not in the mood. I mean, her mood yesterday was perfectly fine. She was not a badass nor a goody-two-shoes, she was in the middle of it. I took a deep breath and walked to my room. It was evening right now and we still haven't found her yet. I grew irritated and worried as to why she had suddenly disappeared since today, or maybe yesterday. After I dropped Hailey off of her house, my gut was telling me that today would be a bad day. I shook off the feeling as I thought about it. I was sitting down on my bed and my hands were buried on my chestnut hair. Then, an idea struck on my mind.

I opened my laptop and tapped the on button. I typed vigorously and my jaw was clenched for the whole time, several minutes later and I was done typing. I was sending an email to my best tracker, Theo. I first met him when he volunteered himself to help searching for Cameron. When Cameron was two and a half years old, he was kidnapped anonymously. My father then decided to hire a tracker for the Petersons' household and Theo volunteered himself for it.

'Please don't tell my family about this.' I added on the email. It was a disgrace when I was helping the enemy's last descendant.

I hope Theo answered me as fast as possible.

My eyes drifted for a few minutes earlier, I then fall asleep on my bed with my laptop screen went all black.

I promise I will find you, Hailey.

Two days later, Theo messaged me and the result I was waiting anxiously was finally here.

To Chris my lil' asshole,

Take a guess where your pretty little girlfriend ran to. She's in Atlanta, she enrolled on Northview High School. A pretty great school to be honest. I don't know where she lives because the Arrington's didn't have a house there. Maybe they use a fake identity. I hope it helps.

Your favourite hacker, Theo.

I sent a grateful message to him on email and bought a plane ticket to Atlanta, the earliest flight was this afternoon at 2 PM. I grabbed some useful things and my passport then shoved it inside my backpack. The time showed 12 o'clock right now and I had two hours to find one reasonable reason for my family so that they would know I went aboard. I walked downstairs silently and knocked on my family's door one by one, It was tiring but it was better than shouting like a stupid prick.

One by one, they strolled in the living room, Cameron was staring at me and I sent him a smile to reassure him. Everyone have seated well and I decided to break the news here.

"I'm going to Atlanta." This four words immediately made my family grow rampage and noisy.

"What? What are you doing there?" Caleb asked cautiously, his elbow on his thighs while staring at me. This dude was always suspicious of me. Whenever I went- even the bathroom- he would follow me everywhere and throw incoherent words to me.

"I got a modelling spot for you there, take it," Celine said. I'm not a fan of modelling, sorry not sorry sis.

"What?!" My mother and father shrieked.

"What is Atlanta?" Cameron queried, tapping his chin with his index finger.

I stifled a chuckle.

"You're gonna chase her right? The Arrington's last descendant." Grandfather stated, looking at me intensely.

The words struck me like a lightning.

How did..?

"H-how did you know, Grandpa?" I asked timidly. You don't want to anger my grandpa, I swear.

"She was leaving yesterday night, right after you dropped her off," Grandpa stated firmly, the glass cup that he was holding was almost breaking into pieces.

I gaped and stared at him, speechless.

"How.."

"I have my bodyguards watching over you. This is your last warning, break up with the girl and marry the Sandiago's daughter." Grandpa glowered at me.

The Sandiago's were a pretty much rich family. Their daughter, Isabella Sandiago was beautiful. With her long, wild red hair and black as coffee eyes and an hourglass figure, who doesn't even like her?

But there's only one girl on my mind and she had mid-blonde hair, gorgeous light brown eyes and a slim figure named Hailey Arrington.

I sighed, "No, Grandpa... I won't marry Isabella." I looked at the ground, waiting for Grandpa's slap.

PRANG!

Grandpa threw the glass cup on the floor, the glass shards flew towards me and I feel a cut on my left cheek. I winced at the pain and glanced at Grandpa. Grandpa was fuming and Grandma was throwing daggers on me.

"Four of you! Lock him in his bedroom and don't let him escape!" Grandpa's voice boomed through the living room.

I sighed angrily and prepared to find some excuses or reasons but Grandpa's bodyguards were clutching on my arms and yanked me to my bedroom.

I tried to struggle and thrashing my arms there and then but it was no use. They were two times stronger than me and bulkier. They threw me in my bedroom and closed the door in a hurry.

"Hey! Wait, you idiotic guards!" I screamed and kept thrashing my arms to catch their attention but they seemed to ignore me.

They locked the door and I could sense that there were two bodyguards outside, standing beside my door and several bodyguards stood on the gate and living room. I scrambled to my desk and gripped my phone. Then I called Carter.

"Any updates?" Carter asked. I could hear Bree was walking back and forth anxiously.

"Yes and no," I replied.

"What do you mean, dude?" Carter asked agitatedly.

"I know where Hailey is but I'm trapped on my house," I answered.

"What do you mean? Did your grandparents locked you in your room?" Bree snatched the phone from Carter and wailed.

"Pretty much, yes." I murmured.

"What are we gonna do?" Bree and Carter demanded in unison.

"Well, I could try and escape from here and you guys can manage to catch a flight on Atlanta." I retorted lazily.

"Sorry man, my parents and Bree's parents were strict. We would really like to help you but we'll send help there." Carter remarked with shame laced on his words.

"S'okay man. I'll handle it here." I responded and end the call.

Now what?

Oh right, escape from here and catch a flight to Atlanta. Luckily, the flight was in one hour and I need one hour to escape from here.

***

Fifteen minutes had passed and I still haven't thought of an escape plan.

I grumbled angrily but an idea suddenly struck on my mind.

"You're so stupid Chris, sneak the fuck out from here, idiot!" I said to myself and unlocked the window.

My room was on the second floor, it was a relieve they didn't lock my window. I jumped through the window and land on the bushes.

"Ouch!" I screeched.

"Who's there?" A guard said.

Oh no, think something Chris!

"Meow."

"Oh, it's a cat." The guard stated.

Phew, thanks cat.

I scrambled from the bushes and went to the garage like a spy while tiptoe-ing.
I found my car and turned on the engine then stepped on the pedal. The car vroomed out loudly and I quickly add the speed on my car to rush to the airport.

The way to the airport was blurry but
fifteen minutes later, I arrived at the airport and swiftly went to the aeroplane to Atlanta. I sat on my seat and took a deep breath. I hope they haven't found me yet. I couldn't help but think of Hailey. I hope she's doing well at Atlanta, I have a few hours to find it out then.

My eyes drifted slowly and darkness came over me.

***

I strolled outside the airport and search for a taxi. Atlanta sure is a cool city but we won't be staying any longer.

"Taxi!" I called out loud.

The taxi driver uttered to me to go inside of his car.

I opened the door and plopped on the car seat. I closed my eyes for a moment because I was exhausted but the driver tapped on my shoulder.

"Ah, yes?" I asked.

"Where shall we go?" the driver replied.

"A motel, please." I queried.

"I know where it is. Buckle up, kid." the driver answered.

Little did I know, the driver was secretly an underground racer.

He told me though, not my assumption.

After I find Hailey, I will, hopefully, will bring her back to LA. I sighed and stared at Atlanta's amazing view through the window.
