Ace's POV:

"Hey man, I am going to take Max with me so take your car okay?" I told Martin while putting on my leather jacket.

"Yeah totally man," Martin said passing by me, "You really invited Max?"

"Well I want her to see my awesome skills," I said while cracking my knucles.

"And she is also going to see you lose to a girl," Martin said.

"She knows about Stone Fox," I said, "And besides Stone Fox is impossible to defeat."

"True that," Martin said and I nodded.

"Well let's get going. I said that I would be at Max's house by 8," I said and walked out the door. I went on my motorcycle and pulled out of the driveway. After passing a couple streets, I pulled up onto Max's driveway. Max walked out the door and waved.

"Hey stranger," she said smiling.

"Hey," I said, "Where's your super cool car?"

"Alex is borrowing it for something," she said and went onto her motorcycle, "So when is this race?"

"It starts at 8:30 and usually lasts max 10 minutes," I said and she cocked her head.

"Really? That is sort of short," she commented.

"Well the whole program runs longer, but I usually just stay for my race and go watch the street fighting," I said.

"Wow! You are a rebel, going to street races and street fights," she teased and I chuckled.

"Well are you ready to go?" I asked.

"Yeah," she said putting on her helmet.

"Follow me?" I asked and she agreed. I pulled out of the driveway and we were off. I parked in front of the Iron Fist and guided Max to the stands.

"So this is where the watchers stand," I told her and she nodded.

"I am not stupid Ace. I think I would be able to figure out where to stand," she said with her hands on her hips.

"Be careful alright and I will find you right after the race," I said and she nodded.

"Don't worry too much about me Ace. I can take care of myself," she said and hugged me, "Good luck Ace. Be careful out there." I hugged her back and took a deep breath before letting go.

"Thanks Max. I will see you after," I said and put on my helmet. I drove to the starting line and after a while Stone Fox pulled in.

"Alright racers take your positions! And," the announcer said before the gun was fired. I revved my engine and took off behind Stone Fox. The thing about her that made her fast was she was able to control her bike with her speed on max. I trailed behind her and the rest of the racers way behind me. I literally was able to touch the ground on the turns. Stone Fox also knew how to make sharp turns without falling. That is a true pro. I felt my jacket flying along the wind and felt the adrenaline rushing through me. Even though I couldn't beat Stone Fox, I still want to show Max that I was a good racer. Maybe I am not the best, but I am still a good racer. As I rounded the final corner of the track, I scanned the crowds for Max, but didn't see her. She probably was shielded by other people. The finish line came closer to me and I crossed it a second after Stone Fox. I saw Stone Fox rush out of the track right after receiving the prize money of a thousand dollars.

"And the winner is still the undefeated champion Stone Fox! And in second place we have our man, Shadow!" the announcer said and I pumped my fist into the air hearing the roar of the crowd. I searched around trying to look for Max again until I met a familiar pair of eyes. Max grinned at me and I drove my bike over there. I took off my helmet and saw that her cheeks were a little pink.

"Congratulations!" she said and hugged me, "-On getting second. That's still good Ace. You were just a second behind Stone Fox and the rest were like 5 seconds away."

"Thanks Max, I am glad that you were able to come," I said.

"I wouldn't miss it," she said and pulled out her phone.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Alex needs me," she said then shoved her phone into her back pocket, "I have to go."

"I can go with you," I said.

"No, no need, you just go alright? Go celebrate with Martin because I just saw him," she said, "There he is!"

"Hey guys," Martin said patting my back and hugging Max.

"It's okay, we can celebrate another day alright? Don't worry too much about me," she said and I nodded.

"Bye Max," I said. She walked and turned around to wave at me with her signature smile.

"Man, you are off the player charts," Martin said, "I saw the way that you were looking at her."

"Seriously, I thought you already knew dude. You are just trying to rub it in my face," I said, "Why do you like her?"

"No way man, she is more like a friend to me," Martin said.

"Alright, alright," I said walking away.

"Dude you can't do that to me!" Martin shouted.

"I just did," I yelled back and continued to walk. I knew in my heart that Martin only saw Max as a friend, but it was fun to tease it a little bit.

Max's POV:

Let me tell you that I was out of breath after that stunt I pulled with Ace. It wasn't because I was tired, it was because all of the adrenaline that was coursing through me. I had to run back to where Alex was and jump on my bike to get to the starting line before I was considered late. Then I had to jump off the track and run back to where I am supposed to stand. Although it was crazy, the look on Ace's face was worth it.

"Ready for your fight tonight?" Alex asked and I scoffed.

"When am I not ready?" I asked and Alex rolled her eyes.

"I swear you earn like at least five hundred dollars every night which is like three thousand a week?" Alex exclaimed, "You are loaded."

"Not exactly. My motorcycle and Lamborghini eat up most of it," I said.

"True that, you are literally fixing up them," Alex asked, "Why don't you race with cars instead of motorcycles? You used to back in high school."

"Well, I like have the wind against me and I don't want to scratch my baby," I said with a pout.

"Alright, go in, you are going to be late," Alex said.

"Since when am I scared to be late?" I asked and Alex pushed me into the door.

"Hey Ron," I said to him.

"Ms. Fox. You are up," Ron said and I laughed.

"Hey, stop with the Ms. Fox thing," I said.

"Well it sounds classy," Ron said and I rolled my eyes, but I knew that he couldn't see me since I had my hood and mask on.

"Over in this corner we have the one and only Stone Fox!" the announcer said and I pumped my fist.

"Over here in this corner we have a newbie," the announcer said and everyone booed. I saw the meter go up on my side. If I won, I would get all that money.

"And fight!" the announcer said ringing the bell. I got into my fight stance and threw the first punch to the newbie's nose. He stepped back on the impact and threw a punch at my face. I dodged easily and got him into a locked position. I felt sweat dripping down my forehead and the muffled cheers of the crowd. I flipped him down onto the ground and kept on throwing punches until he tapped out. I got off him and wiped off my sweat.

"And the newbie quits," the announcer said with a small pout, "That makes Stone Fox our winner!" The newbie walked past me and shoved an envelope into my hand. I knew that this was the Viper Gang's doing. I went through a few more fights before going into my car with Alex in the passenger's seat.

"So the guy that disqualified himself gave me this," I said holding up the letter.

"Oh come on!," Alex said and I read the letter aloud.

Dear Stone Fox,

You still aren't cooperating with us. Oh, well. I mean now you really should watch your back. You wouldn't want the world knowing who you really are. I mean, we could spill the beans faster than you say no. What are you going to do? Live on the edge or just join us? Your choice, don't make the wrong choice.

You know who we are,

The Viper Gang

"Oh no," Alex mumbled, "We should go to Tom and ask him what to do."

"Good idea," I said breathing heavily. I pulled out of the parking spot and drove to Flex Fitness. Alex and I were quiet throughout the ride. I knew that she wanted to try to think of ways to get this off of my back. I pulled into a parking spot and we both walked into the gym.

"Ladies!" Tanner exclaimed.

"Hey Tanner," I said.

"Hey," Alex said.

"Do you know where Tom is?" I asked and Tanner nodded.

"Yeah he is in his office," Tanner said and I thanked him before walking into Tom's office.

"Max, what are you doing here?" Tom asked and I passed him the letter.

"That. They know who I really am Tom. What am I supposed to do?" I asked running my fingers through my hair.

"If you stop street fighting that isn't going to work because they already know who you are so carry your gun on you at all times," Tom said and I sighed.

"Yeah, okay," I said and heard Alex gulp behind me. She has never liked the idea of me having a gun at all.

"And Alex, you need to learn how to defend yourself and use a gun," Tom said.

"Yeah I have been working with Max," Alex said.

"Okay, this is serious. This is something for your safety Max and Alex's too. You don't want to endanger yourself or others. Just always be on the watch all right? You don't want to mess with the Viper Gang," Tom said.

"I already did," I said walking out of the office. That's just great.

The next day, I walked downstairs and ate breakfast. I then went into the garage to work on my motorcycle. I wore a mechanic jumpsuit and my black cap backwards. I was jamming out to my favorite playlist while improving my motorcycle's speed. I learned all of this from Ty's Auto Shop, the place where I get all my parts. Ty is also a pro at fixing bikes and cars. My music immediately stopped and I checked my phone.

Ace: Hey Max, want to come over for a movie day or something? I am home alone.

Me: Sure, why not? I will be there in 15.

Ace: See you then.

Me: See you.

Why did I just agree to that? I don't know. I went inside and took a shower to wash off all the dirt and grime off my body. I change into my favorite jean joggers, a white tank that said "One of the Guys," and my Nikes. I also grabbed my phone and leather jacket.

"Where are you going?" Mom asked me when I opened the front door.

"Just to Ace's," I said.

"Well I guess that you and Ace are getting pretty close huh?" Mom asked and I scrunched my face in disgust.

"Not in that way mom. We are just friends. There is no relationship between us," I said motioning my hands, "Macy and Jayden have a closer relationship than we do. Bye!" I jumped out of the door and hopped onto my motorcycle and drove to Ace's house.
