A/N:  Regarding this chapter.  Daisy and Namjoon mention a lot of pieces of artwork this chapter and I chose not to post images of those because it felt wrong to do so.  I strong encourage if you are not familiar with the artwork mentioned that you look said artwork up.  I honestly didn't know about some of them myself until I wrote out the scene.

We get in the far back of the SUV with Han Bin driving and Youngmi once again in the passenger seat. Manager Sejin sits in one of the two pilot seats in front of us. I'm confused why we only have two security guards not only after what happened at the club, but also after what Joon told me yesterday about taking extra precautions. So I turn to ask him about it. He must read the question that my expression is already asking for me. "We won't be outside really at all. There is an underground parking garage. The museum will be closed to the public, and they have already discussed us bringing outside food in afterward. They even humbly volunteered letting us borrow the staff lounge to eat in."

I nod. I knew we would be going to an art museum. But this was the first time he had truly confirmed it. "Now pull out your tablet. I'm winging this idea as we go, so feel free to add any rules you think of. We each take turns either saying a type of painting, artist, theme, etc and we search for it through a web search. We each pick one piece of art under that heading that we are drawn to. No media outside of paintings though, that would take a lot longer to look through."

"New rule!" I quickly think of a way to make this challenging. "We can't pick the same piece of artwork or artist that the other has."

"New rule!" Joon laughs as he too picks up on my enthusiasm. "We can't repeat artists or artworks throughout the course of the game. Has to be an original piece every time."

"Whoever finds what they settle on first, gets to say theirs first." I settle on as the next rule.

Joon thinks for a little bit. "I can't think of anything else. Can you?"

I pause for a second then I shake my head. "No, I don't think so."

"Ladies first then."

I decide to go with something people don't typically think of necessarily with paintings. Sure there is the religious Renaissance era, but I'm thinking mythology. Most people think of statues, architecture, and ceramics when it comes to mythological art so that's why I choose it. "Mythological painting."

I find mine first so if he picks out the same one he will have to pick out something else. I did settle on something easy though. Which I probably shouldn't have, but it is one of my favorite paintings. "Okay, I finally got mine."

"Birth of Venus by Sandro Botticelli." I announce.

He nods. "That is a beautiful piece. The Goddess of Love is very well portrayed both in color and composition. I especially love the way her hair is blowing in the breeze in it."

I nod. "That's definitely one of my favorite parts too."

"Oedipus and the Sphinx by Gustave Moreau."

I pull up the image myself since I am not familiar with the piece. "I don't like how he looks like a statue, but I do like how despite her size she is still exceptionally menacing. I mean you can't tell it by her face, but the way she flies up to him and looks at him without a shred of fear for herself. That in and of itself is its own bravery, and in that she is a being to be feared."

"Plus there is what looks like a gory scene at the bottom of the piece. I feel like she is trying to look angelic, hiding her monstrous side in the moment." Joon claims. "Hm. My turn next?"

I nod.

"Surrealism."

I get mine first again while Joon grumbles to himself about picking Surrealism. It's only a few minutes later that I can tell he somewhat simply decided on something this time. "I and the Village by Marc Chagall."

He pulls up his own tablet to look at it himself. "Cubist as well as Surrealist. Interesting." He nods. "I love the use of color in this painting."

"That was probably what drew me to it at first, but then just studying it for a few brief moments it really drew me in. I don't know if the creature in the top left corner is supposed to be the same cow the woman is milking on his cheek, or if it's a horse. But the expression of the painting itself is so interesting. I honestly think I could probably stare at it for hours trying to decipher it."

Joon nods again. "I like paintings like that. The ones that really make you want to dive into them and think about them for a while." He pauses for a moment. "Mine isn't as interesting this time. I selected The Lovers by René Magritte. I think perhaps I just wanted to move on to the next round, or maybe I just wanted to kiss you." He groans at his own answer.

I look up the painting myself and frown. "Joon, there are much better ways to ask for a kiss than bringing up this painting. I mean we each have our own perception of what we find aesthetically pleasing. But for some reason I find this art more creepy than endearing."

He sighs. "I know. I'm sorry." He pretends to pout for a second then gives me a side-eye. "Can I still have a kiss though?"

I chuckle but lean in and gently brush my lips over his own. If it weren't for our seatbelts I was certain he would have tried to pull me closer and deepen it further.

"One more round?" I ask.

"If by round you mean one theme for each of us then sure."

I nod in agreement. "Impressionism." My immediate worry when I say this is that he is going to pick a Van Gogh painting so I immediately steer away from anything by the artist. This time he finds his first, and while it took some time I still worry he chose Van Gogh. I finally settled on an artist, and I immediately found myself realizing that I might have to look into more pieces by him. This painting is really adorable actually.

"Luncheon of the Boating Party by Pierre- Auguste Renoir."

Oh I had looked at that one briefly too.

"Impressionism is probably one of my favorite art styles honestly, and I definitely love how Renoir combined his unique brush strokes with a sense of realism. Which I don't necessarily care for in art pieces. But, he executed perfectly." Joon explains.

"I like the composition of redirection in the painting. If you follow the eyes of each person you can get a sense of the whole painting, rather than one specific focal point." I watch as Joon seems dazzled by my answer. It's almost like he is truly surprised by my appreciation for art. I mean I thought I had mentioned it before, but maybe I hadn't. Or if I had he didn't really realize how honest I was being. "I chose Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose by John Singer Sargent. I love the painting as a whole honestly. I love how the light from the lamps plays on the girls faces. I love how you can see his brush strokes on the lamps and grass. Somehow though, much like Renoir, his paintings are also heavily realistic too."

"I've never seen this one before. It's adorable. I'm surprised you found it in one single search. Hell, I'm surprised you didn't choose Van Gogh." He chuckles.

"I honestly thought you were going to." I chuckle at the situation myself. "I realize the last choice is yours, but should we just select a Van Gogh painting since both of us directly avoided him this last round?"

"Agreed."

"Oh, and by the way. I already have mine picked out." I set my tablet aside without even doing a web search.

"I really want to say that's cheating, but I have a feeling I know which painting you selected. If it's the one I am thinking of it would have appeared first probably."

Oh, he thinks I chose 'Starry Night.'

He searches for a while, and I can tell he is concerned because we must nearly be at the museum at this point. He sighs. "Okay, I'm good now."

"Irises."

His eyes widened in a mixture of surprise and confusion. "Okay, I have to know. Why did you immediately choose Irises? I was so sure you were going to pick Starry Night. Don't get me wrong. I'm kind of pleased to be surprised like that. But, I am definitely curious."

"It's my favorite Van Gogh piece simply because of the solitary white Iris. I always wondered what it meant. Was it how he felt around others? Alone and different. Was he showing the beauty of its simplicity? Does it represent a woman that he fancied at the time? There are so many possibilities, and there is no way to know the true answer." I pause for a second as I decide to teasingly add, "plus, it's just pretty."

"Because I thought you were going to choose Starry Night I chose instead Starry Night Over the Rhône. I'm honestly glad I was challenged like that though because I never really looked at this painting before. I love the way the stars are represented in both the sky and the reflection in the water below, and I love that it looked like he added himself and possibly his mother in the bottom of the painting."

I pull up the image and I actually agree. "I think I like this better than Starry Night myself. I mean other than the actual sky. I do love how he portrayed the movement of the sky with his swirling brushstrokes. I also loved the balls of yellows and gold he used to characterize the moon and the stars themselves. It's just that the black spire in the painting actually creeps me out honestly."

He chuckles softly but responds, "I actually think I get that." Then he reaches out to cover my hand with his own.

Only a few moments later we are pulling into the underground parking garage. It doesn't surprise me in the least when we park near an entrance in a reserved spot. I am sure that is just another thing that Joon had prearranged. It does make me wonder how much of a hassle it was to reschedule with little to no knowledge ahead of time.

It takes us a few minutes to get the doors leading to the interior of the museum and walk through them toward the reception desk. Joon surprises me by taking in a deep breath. I look over at him in confusion and follow his gaze to the woman stepping toward us. "Christine, I didn't think you would be here today."

Christine is Caucasian with golden blonde hair and even paler highlights. She is exceptionally put together with her hair up in a bun, her makeup subtle perfection, and her amazing designer brand outfit. She definitely has her own sense of style perfected. She looks both gorgeous and business oriented in her button up blouse and knee length pencil skirt. "Well, had you been here yesterday like you had originally planned, then no you wouldn't have seen me. But, I was already scheduled to work today, and since you shifted your plan. Well, here I am."

He nods, but makes no move to introduce me to this woman he quite obviously knows. He does however pull me closer to him.

"So, this must be your soulmate." Her accent dictates that she is probably originally from Australia. Although it's also obvious that the accent is barely hanging on and trying to fade into obscurity. "I've read about you in the media, but I admit that I am too busy with work to really do much more than that. I'm Christine. Namjoon and I--" She pauses over her words. "Well, we dated off and on for a brief time."

I look at Joon to try to confirm this. He strokes his hand through the back of his hair, and I can't help but notice the guilty look on his face. I trail my eyes back over Christine, and I immediately see connections I hadn't before. Joon had admitted to reporters when asked about his celebrity crush that it had been Blake Lively. It was his way of sending a subtle nod to his then girlfriend. Because Christine did have some similar features to the American actress.

"Yes, Christine and I dated off and on for a while. But, we separated pretty early on because not long after she found her soulmate." Joon is quick to admit.

She shifts up the cuff of her blouse to show a small butterfly mark on her wrist. "Nabi, my butterfly." She smiles affectionately, obviously thinking of her in that moment. "She misses you too, by the way, Namjoon."

Joon clears his throat. "So, you were supposed to have something prepared for us?" He asks in a move to get completely off topic.

I've admitted before with many of them their past is their past. But, if it's a possibility that I might bump into said past, then I would like to be prepared and know about it ahead of time. So, despite the level headedness I am trying to maintain. I plan on pulling Joon aside at the earliest convenience.

I barely notice the piece of paper that Christine hands over to Namjoon. But, when he puts his hand in mine and steers me toward the first exhibit I come back to awareness. "It was nice to meet you, Christine." I say, even though I'm not really sure I feel that way at all.

The minute we walk into the first room he pulls me aside to a nearby couch. "Daisy, ask. I know you are dying to know."

I sigh and repeat my own thoughts. How I don't have a problem with their past staying in their past if that's what they want. I don't really need to know. I explain though if it's highly likely I will bump into said past I really want at least a heads up. "I have to ask though. What did you mean when she said that Nabi missed you too?"

He sighs and looks out across from him. "A few times after she had found Nabi she invited me to go out with them. Daisy, when she said we dated. That's not exactly what she meant. She was just trying to be professional."

"Are you saying your relationship was strictly sexual? Wait, are you saying you had a few nights where you shared the both of them?" My chest really aches now. I don't think I'm jealous. Not exactly at least. But, I am definitely not fond of this feeling.

"We did go on dates. But, we knew from the get go that our relationship wouldn't be anything more than a sexual one. Hell, Christine had mentioned early on she was more attracted to women than men. She honestly had been checking you out back there. It's the only reason I brought up Nabi to be honest. To get her to stop giving you assessing lingering looks."

Honestly, I hadn't noticed that. I had been too preoccupied with the concern in my mind. I take a deep breath. "Okay, so now that I know we can move on with our date."

Joon arches an eyebrow. "You aren't mad?"

"I think I am a little bit annoyed. But, I really don't want to ruin our time together. So, I am doing my best to move past this sense of annoyance. I told you I just wanted to know since I met her face to face. Now that I know we can move on. But, I promise that after our date is over, if I am still feeling awkward and annoyed about it I will let you know."

He pulls out the paper. "It's probably silly but I had them make a scavenger hunt for us of sorts. Let's see what they chose for the first one. 'Take a picture of the each of you posing like one of the sculptures or paintings.'"

"Okay, let's appreciate the art in the room first though. After, we can get our silly on."

He smiles and nods. The rest of the museum trip goes like that. The next room we have to find a piece of art that has each other's favorite color. "Something purple then right?"

I'm assuming he is remembering from when we ordered the bowling balls. I actually had also taken that moment to thank them all for unintentionally decorating my room in my favorite color. I honestly tried to cheat at first by picking out the same painting since one of his favorite colors was also purple. But he made me go pick something in either black or pink. At least he didn't make me find one with both. That would have taken forever.

Once we are in the last room I start to realize how hungry I am getting. The pancakes long since forgotten. "Hey Joonie, I know we still have this room to peruse. But should we go ahead and figure out what we want to eat and send someone off to get the food? My stomach is starting to make itself known with complaints."

He chuckles. "Sure Baby."

He pulls up a list of different things in the area. There is so much to choose from. I point out a waffle place. "If we hadn't had pancakes this morning I would probably choose that. Those look amazing."

I continue to look around. "Wait. Korean rice porridge. Is it weird that sounds good to me? I mean I've never had it, but it sounds like comfort food to me."

He nods. "It definitely is comfort food. I definitely recommend it during the colder months because it definitely feels like it warms up your entire body. It's lucky the weather is still trying to remain a bit on the chilly side. Porridge sounds good to me too. So, let's both figure out what we want."

We sit beside to peruse the menu. "I'm between the Beef Seaweed and Beef Mushroom." Joon admits beside me.

I bite my own lip in concentration. "I'm not feeling spicy, so I am eliminating all of these reddish orangish bowls. Although a couple of them definitely sound interesting, and I will have to try them in the future. I think I am going to go for this one with the red crab legs in it."

Joon shows me that there are three of the porridge bowls with the red crab legs. "I think you want the one labled 'special.'"

"Why's that?" I ask him.

"It has the most crab in it." He smiles victoriously at me.

"Twist my rubber arm why don't ya." I say jokingly. "Then yes of course I want that one specifically."

For a few minutes we just walk around the last room holding each other's hand. "I really am sorry that you had to find out about Christine like that. Not saying I wouldn't have shared her existence with you; I just honestly hadn't expected her here."

"She's quite beautiful, and exceptionally well put together."

"And most definitely not what I want. You don't have to feel insecure, Baby." He tries to reassure me.

Honestly, I
