A/N:  FYI, I made a Reading List that is strictly BTS Fanfic.  I mostly made it because I just came across the one called "Ruin Me, I Dare You" and I'm so far really enjoying it so I wanted to put the word out about it.  Figured this was the easiest way.

My plans just weren't working with me today. Perhaps it started with my outfit selection. I had put on a long sleeve lightweight tee and a pair of cotton-polyester slacks. Between the fabric components and the amount of body coverage the heat from the Brazilian sun just seeped into me, getting trapped by my garments. I nearly fainted after we were done with our groceries.

I hadn't originally planned on grocery shopping first. Korain and I had walked a few blocks while I held my phone in my hand giving us directions to a couple of clothing specialty shops I wanted to look at. Turned out I should have checked their hours of operation first. They didn't open until later on in the day.

So, we went back to the house. Korain insisted we take the rental car to load up the groceries in, and I wasn't about to disagree with him when I was already melting in the heat.

On the positive side the grocery store we went to catered to a cornucopia of cultures and cuisines. I was able to stock up on ramen, a few jars of kimchi, and a couple of Korean snacks that Korain mentioned he personally liked. I chose to also stock up on staples since the kitchen was basically bare. I wasn't about to get ingredients to make Korean dishes myself when I hadn't had the opportunity to play with any of the recipes. I did, however, plan on attempting to try making them later. That didn't stop me from getting some ingredients for dishes that I was comfortable making.

Korain insisted we stop for lunch when apparently the heat was becoming too much for me. My cheeks were flushed, my vision somewhat blotchy, and there were dots of perspiration on my upper lip. I got a tad dizzy so I didn't hesitate to concede his point.

We stopped at a local bakery/deli for lunch. The heat had sapped my appetite, but I forced myself to order a bowl of fruit and a sandwich. I knew that I needed the nutrients to get me through the rest of the day. Although, I did mostly focus on the spheres of watermelon in my fruit salad for the hydration factor.

After we got back at the house I knew it was time to change my clothing. There was no point in pushing myself into heat exhaustion, and despite how I had been feeling I still really wanted to go do that clothing shop today. So, I traded the long sleeve t-shirt for a cotton button up tank top. I traded the slacks for a pair of gingham linen shorts that cut off just above the knee. Before going downstairs I liberally applied sunscreen to my bare skin.

I really should have been more careful this morning, because now Korain was being a pain in the ass. "I really think we should take the car again. You nearly fainted multiple times while we were out!"

Multiple times? Definitely an over exaggeration. "It's only a couple of blocks. It's just a waste of resources. Besides, I'm dressed more appropriately for the weather than I was earlier." I indicated my outfit. "I'll even grab a bottle of cucumber water to take with us if it makes you feel better." Hell, it made me feel better just by mentioning it. I go to the kitchen to do just that when my phone chimes from where I placed it on the bar counter before heading upstairs.

Namjoon: Han-bin told Manager Sejin that you nearly fainted?!

I sigh. I really didn't want to worry them, but it looks like Korain took that possibility out of my hands.

Me: I made a silly mistake when I chose my outfit this morning. I promise I am okay now.

Jin: Make sure to keep hydrated.

Me: I am grabbing a cucumber water as we speak before heading out again.

Tae: You are going back out?!

Jimin: Maybe you should stay in and rest.

Hobi: Maybe I should pick out your outfits from now on. ;)

Jungkook: What were you wearing before that caused you to almost faint?

Hobi: Forget that, what are you wearing right now? ;)

Even though he's making a suggestive flirtatious comment I take a quick selfie and send it to them.

Me: See? Perfectly acceptable for the hot Brazilian weather.

Yoongi: We can't keep her from going out if she wants to. Daisy be safe.

Me: I promise that I will. xoxo

"Let's go, Korain." I'm done with him arguing with me about the car. It's time to get moving.

Shopping for sundresses when you have a bigger bust is definitely difficult. I don't know how I have already managed to accumulate such a big pile that I want to try on. Not to mention the couple of bikinis I fell in love with. Korain is pretending to be a doting companion by carrying around the armful of garments for me. I add a couple more to his arms before I decide it's time to start trying them on.

I put on the first and something immediately occurs to me. I need my female support system to assist me with these decisions.

Me: Are either of you free right now? If not both.

Candace: I am!

I wait a few minutes to see if Rebecca responds. I know if she doesn't that she is more than likely busy at the diner. When it's been long enough to deem she is otherwise occupied I send a request for a video call to Candace.

"Hey girl! Long time no see!" She waves at me emphatically from her corner of the world.

"Yeah, I mean truthfully, it's only been around a week and a half or so, but it feels like so much longer. So, I'm calling because I'm trying on some stuff, and I wanted a second opinion."

"Oh, I don't know if I want to see you in sexy lingerie. That should solely be for you know whose eyes only." She punctuates her comment with a smirk.

I roll my eyes in response. "No lingerie. Mostly dresses, a couple of skirts, and a few bathing suits."

"Hmm, I guess I can weigh in on bikinis. I think you could get a better opinion elsewhere on that one though."

I simply respond with a shrug of the shoulders and, "busy."

I initially had seven dresses, three skirts, and three bikinis. With Candace's help I narrowed that down to four dresses, one skirt, and one bikini.

"Per normal I am going to tell you not to be a stranger." She points a finger at me.

"I promise you I won't. I'll text you again later this week. Hopefully Rebecca won't be too busy this time."

After hanging up the call I gather the items I selected together and head out the door. My bad day strikes again when I collide with another customer who was just heading into the fitting rooms herself. My clothing scattering to the floor. "I'm so sorry about that." I respond before starting to pick up the clothing I dropped.

"It was an acc--" Her acceptance of my apology is interrupted by a deep inhalation of air and a gasp exhaled just as quickly.

I look her in the eyes and find her midnight colored orbs wide in realization. Her vision dances over my arm, collarbone, and my outer leg. Well crap. What do I do in this situation?

"You're.. You're Daisy aren't you?"

I could lie, but that would bite me in the butt later when I am exposed to the public. "Um, I want to say no, but it doesn't seem right to lie to you." There's a bench at the end of the hallway so I lead her over to it. "I'm sure you have hundreds of questions, but I probably won't be able to answer any of them without getting in trouble myself."

"But, you are their soulmate?" She asks eagerly.

"Yes, I am." That's the one question I can answer confidently.

"Can I take a selfie with you? This is probably the closest I will get to any of them."

I shake my head, but I'm quick to explain myself hoping that she will understand my reasoning. "It's not that I don't want to take a selfie. It's that I don't want this accidentally leaked. We are trying to keep a low profile. I'm not even sure I want the public to physically see me yet at all. Even though I knew something like this would happen eventually." I sigh.

She frowns but nods. "I understand."

"Also, I don't view myself as a celebrity, or even someone to be openly admired by the public. It's BTS that should get the eagerness I see in your eyes." I sigh. "I honestly only want Army to be happy that they found their soulmate, and to be accepting of who I am to them. How important I am to their lives. I don't want to be idolized, and I certainly hope that our actions haven't unintentionally reflected that."

"You are really down to earth. I'm surprised by that." She responds.

I laugh. "I'm just a normal young woman. I shouldn't strike someone as anything other than that. At least not personality wise. Besides that, my guys are honestly really down to earth themselves."

She laughs in response. "I saw that mini interview you did on Youtube. I laughed when you sprayed J-Hope with the water gun."

I sigh and reiterate the point that I had made that night. "I was aiming for his face. I suck with precision." Then I find myself laughing too. "I should probably go. My security guard is probably wondering what's taking me so long. What's your name by the way?"

"Adriana." She smiles warmly at me.

I sigh. "Well, I hate to ask this, Adriana. But could you do me a favor?"

She arches an eyebrow. "What's that?"

"Can you please not tell anyone about our meeting? I understand why you would want to, but like I said we are really trying to fly under the radar while we are here." I honestly wish I could repay her kindness today. It was sheer luck that I met such a fan, and not someone with an obsessive agenda.

"I promise I won't tell. I will even sign an NDA if that would help."

Well, I wasn't expecting that! "Um, that's something the managers handle. But, I don't know. Maybe if you gave me your email I could let one of them get in contact with you about it."

She nods furiously. I find out a bit more from her when she simply hands over a business card. I'm soon even more thankful that she has been as willing as she has at that moment than before, because it turns out she is a local model. She could have just as easily sold a physical description of me and where she saw me today just to gain more popularity for herself. With the business card I have a way of taking the next step to assure that doesn't happen.

Korain has a stoic look on his face when I exit the fitting rooms, but I am still able to see his nerves fraying under the surface. I guide him away to a secluded corner for a moment. "I'm pretty sure I prevented a problem, but let's wait to discuss it when we get back to the house. Just let me pay for my purchases first."

I can tell he wants to argue, but he grits his teeth and nods his head instead. I watch his jaw tick for a second before turning away. Yeah, he definitely wants to hash it out here and now.

A/N:  Just another really quick note.  The information on the business card are completely fictional (obviously, felt I had to state this though), but I did look up how many digits are in a Brazilian number to make it seem as authentic as possible.  The images of "Adriana" herself I found on Unsplash, a copyright free image website.
