A/N: So I'm a bit nervous about this chapter.  I took some creative liberties that I hope exceptionally pay off.  Please...please...please let me know if you liked it.

This morning is their 'Good Morning America' appearance and I am upset that I can't be there with them. Hell, they are already gone because they had to be there at some god awful time this morning. I did set an alarm so I could watch their segment though, which they were able to assist me since they also sent me texts letting me know they were about to go on.

Luckily there is a commercial when I find the appropriate channel so I quickly go to brush my teeth while I am waiting through it. The moment I finish I hear Robin Roberts' voice. I find myself skidding back to the bedroom just as she has announced their entrance. I smile as they walk on stage, all of them sending finger hearts to the camera. Swoon! Yoongi is the last to enter and I am exceptionally surprised. He is wearing his costume for their performance later on in the segment, but that's not the only thing he is wearing. They all take the director's seats across from Robin Roberts and Michael Stahan.

The hosts welcome them back to the show and talk a little bit about the tour. Robin checks the card in her hand to remind herself of something. "Now Suga you just had a birthday yesterday. I hope it was a happy one. Did you do anything special?"

He explains about the Vlive we did yesterday, just in case anyone missed it. Then he points at the jacket he was wearing. The one he promised to wear, that I didn't realize he meant he would actually wear on the show. "This was one of the presents that our soulmate Daisy got me for my birthday. I thought it appropriate to wear it today, even if I have to take it off for the performance."

"Speaking of your soulmate. She only just recently entered your lives. That has to be difficult juggling everything and a romantic relationship while on the road." Robin turns the conversation to me. I'm not sure how to feel about that but they all seemed to have expected this, which they probably did. They probably had some outlined plan of questions.

Jimin first starts singing my praises about how great I am, and how much they care about me. The others nodding their heads, their faces all broadcasting their feelings with their bright smiles. Namjoon interrupts with a more somber approach. "We knew that a relationship with us would be difficult. Being on the road all the time and barely having time to dedicate to that special someone. It's hard to find the time to do special things together. We are lucky that she is perfectly content to just sit and watch movies with us, or watch us practice. But, we wanted to do something more since she couldn't be here with us today. Robin, Michael, do we have your permission to sing something special just for Daisy. I'm sure that Army will love it too."

Michael Strahan responds. "Who are we to stop a romantic gesture? Please continue."

"Daisy we hope this will be your new version of your favorite song." He smirks at me in the camera.

I drop the remote, stand up from the bed, and scream. "They did not go and do this!" I'm already crying before they sing a single word as the first notes of the instrumental part are played. "When the hell did they have time to record that?" I ask no one referring to the background music, since the instrument playing is not the banjo I am used to.

The camera focuses on Jungkook, and I immediately realize that they had also worked out camera cues for this 'impromptu' performance. His sweet angelic voice begins, "Why are there so many songs about rainbows, and what's on the other side?"

Next camera on Tae. "Rainbows are visions, but only illusions, and rainbows have nothing to hide."

Jimin. "So we've been told and some choose to believe it."

Jin "I know they're wrong, wait and see."

The camera now shows them all as they harmonize the next two lines. "Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection. The lovers, the dreamers, and me."

Back to Tae. "Who said that every wish would be heard and answered when wished on the morning star?"

Jungkook again. "Somebody thought of that and someone believed it."

Jin. "Look what it's done so far."

Jimin, my heart clenches just a little tighter because this is probably my favorite line in the whole song. "What's so amazing that keeps us stargazing and what do you think we might see?"

I expect the next hook to come in but then suddenly the music slightly changes to a rap like rift, and I know why when Namjoon opens his mouth and begins to rap out new lyrics that they obviously just added for their version. "What we might see?"

Hobi comes in next to answer the question. "We might see prismatic miracles, or dreams come to life."

Namjoon asking the universe again. "Where's that connection?"

Yoongi answers this one. "Inside us all. We are the dreamers, and we believe in what we choose."

All three answers repeat the sentiment slightly. "Let us believe."

Hobi. "Let's believe in rainbows.

Yoongi. "Let's write our own endings."

All three again. "Let's keep on believing."

Namjoon. "The show's neverending."

All three close the rap with. "Keep searching for your rainbow connection." The music mellows back out to the chords that I am used to.

My favorite line is repeated by Jimin again. "Yes, what's so amazing that keeps us stargazing and what do we think we might see?"

Camera pans out to them all as they sing the next lines. "Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection. The lovers, the dreamers, and me. All of us under its spell. We know that it's probably magic."

Tae again. "Have you been half asleep and have you heard voices?"

Jin. "I've heard them calling my name."

Jimin. "Is this the sweet sound that calls the young sailors?"

Jin. "The voice might be one and the same."

Jungkook sings probably my second favorite line. "I've heard it too many times to ignore it. It's something that I'm supposed to be."

The camera pans out to them all again. "Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection. The lovers, the dreamers, and me. Yes, someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection. The lovers, the dreamers, and me."

The camera pans back to Namjoon. He smiles and says. "Nuh-upsshi motsarah" Then holds a finger heart.

I find myself growling at him. Directing something to me in Korean that I have no clue what it means! Not fair! I know it's not a bad thing. He wouldn't direct something bad at me. Plus judging by the few people in the audience that obviously understand the language it is definitely swoon worthy. But I so want to pummel him right now I can taste it. Not to mention that even though he was the one that said it I know it came from them all.

"What was that you said there at the end?" Michael asks.

"Something specifically for Daisy, and we will tell her what it means when we get back to the hotel." I grab the pillow from the bed and launch it at the screen, wincing afterwards when the television jostles against the brackets that it's mounted with.

I don't even know why I am reacting this way. Being a redhead of course I have spurts similar to this, but this is above and beyond what's normal for me. I'm excessively overreacting. Then I consider the date. Oh. Well shit. Yeah now I know exactly what the problem around the corner is. I also know that was the one thing I forgot to pack and purchase. And I thought I had been so well prepared.

Me: Did any of the security stay behind?

Sejin: Yes, I've assigned Korain to you specifically until we get back to Korea where I can assign you a more personal team.

Well that's news I didn't have before now.

Me: Can he read English?

Sejin: Yes, that was part of the reason I chose him specifically for you.

Me: Could I have his number please?

A few minutes later he is at my door. "I need to run an errand. Could you take me?"

He nods. "Where do you need to go?"

"The closest general merchandise store. Doesn't matter which one. I just need to purchase some things." I'm dressed in a hoodie and baggy pants.

"You should grab your mask and sunglasses." He points to where they sit on the nightstand. I cast a look at the sky and decide he has a point about the sunglasses at least.

"I'll grab the sunglasses just because of how bright it is outside. But, I'm not wearing a mask. I'm not with the guys right now, and it will just draw more attention to myself."

He seems to consider what I am saying and nods in agreement.

I don't anticipate the amount of traffic that has been added to the streets due to the guys' performance on 'Good Morning America' today. What should normally take a half an hour to get through traffic and to the store, ends up taking hours.

Once we arrive at the store I start receiving texts from the guys.

Jimin: We just got out. Did you see it?

Tae: Did you like it?

Jungkook: Is that version your favorite now?

Me: Sorry, can't respond now. On an errand.

Namjoon: Oh, be careful then.

Hobi: You aren't by yourself are you?

Me: No, Korain is with me.

Yoongi: Are you okay?

Me: Why wouldn't I be?

Jin: We aren't sure. We all just agree that something seems off.

Me: If it seems that way I'm sorry. I'll talk to you when I get back.

Or I'll lock myself away in my room so they don't have to deal with my mood swings.

I first go get the number one item on my list and when Korain sees the aisle we are in he turns his back on me. Yeah, that reaction right there is why I didn't tell the guys what was going on, or about to at least.

Then I stop by the pharmacy and grab medicine and a heating pad. "We are almost done. I just need a candy supply run." Yeah, I told Hobi I didn't like chocolate that much. This was definitely one of those moments that I needed it. I'm pleasantly surprised to find that they carry one of the rarest candies that I love but can typically only find during Christmas time. I snag a few of those. I grab a bag of caramel Hershey's kisses. I debate with myself if I need more for a few moments. I spy a big box of Reese's Big Cups and grab those too. "Okay, let's get these purchased and get out of here."

Korain grabs the candy from my hands since I didn't bother with a cart. We go through the self checkout, and manage to leave the store within only a matter of minutes. The minus is that the traffic still hasn't cleared up yet. I am sure the guys are back at the hotel at this point but we are going to be struggling for a couple hours at least.

A/N:  Copyright appreciation.  The lyrics to Rainbow Connection credit goes to the co-composers:  Paul Williams and Kenneth Ascher.  The only lyrics I wrote being the rap.

I tried to incorporate some of ideas from the reprise. (See the following stanza if you aren't familiar with the reprise.)

"Life's like a movie, write your own ending

Keep believing, keep pretending

We've done just what we set out to do.

Thanks to the lovers, the dreamers, and you."
