The sun is rising in the horizon of Jianghu. The orange sky is emitting pinkish light to the Qilin sect. the whole Qilin sect is embraced by the warm glow in early summer. But as always, the disciples and other masters had long been awake and are doing morning exercise. The bustling sect had woken up Li Xi Rui from her slumber.

Opening her window, she is greeted by the early summer breeze.  The view in front of her is truly magnificent that she felt pity not to see it earlier. Quickly wearing her robes, she stepped out from the room. She just wants to take a walk around the sect.

‘It won't be a problem. I'm just going to take a walk', she thought.  As she walked around the building, she didn’t see anyone around.

Li Xi Rui, with half her hair unbound fluttering in the morning breeze, white robes and unpainted face, seems like a fairy. The pinkish glow makes the sky seems like it’s blushing upon witnessing her beauty. If one saw her at this moment one would be shocked with her ethereal beauty.

“Miss?!”, QiQi is shocked. She was just going to the miss’s room. But when she passes through the building, she nearly bumped to Li Xi Rui.

“QiQi! Good, I wanted to take a look around. Can you bring me around? I promise I would be as quite as a mouse. No one would notice me”, Li Xi Rui promised. It’s not every day that she could casually tour the famous Qilin sect.  With different buildings on different sections of the mountain, the views would be different as well. Li Xi Rui is occupying the top section of the mountain, as per her identity as the future sect madam. No one from the lower section is allowed to come up to the top section.

“I could bring Miss around, but…”, QiQi look at Li Xi Rui’s face. It seems like Li Xi Rui had indeed become more beautiful than the last time she saw her. But for her to go around with that face of hers would just inviting troubles. ‘This is a big problem’, she thought. Taking a thin white cloth from her inside her robe, she starts to cover half of Li Xi Rui’s face. As a beginner physician, QiQi always bring a piece of medium sized cloth with her. The cloth is usually used for bandaging the wound.

“This will be enough”,QiQi is satisfied with Li Xi Rui’s new appearance.

Li Xi Rui’s mouth twitched. She had been wearing a veil for a period of time so she had thought that she could walk around the area since no one knows her.

“There are no females in this sect apart from you and me miss”, QiQi explained after she caught Li Xi Rui’s gaze. There are no maids, no female servants, no wife of other masters and certainly no female disciples in the Qilin sect. Bai QiQi is an exception. She is not a direct disciple of the sect but a guest of the mysterious physician Bai Wu. 

“Really?”, Li Xi Rui asked as QiQi nods her head. “It’s alright”, said Li Xi Rui. The thin cloth is more comfortable than the veiled hat as it doesn’t obstruct her vision. What Li Xi Rui doesn’t know is the reason Xiao Xi had given her the veiled hat in the first place.

In the capital, it is not a strange thing for a lady of prominent background to hide their face. Usually they would opt for covering half of their face as the veiled hat is too troublesome. So, a lady using a veiled hat is not usually seen. The reason for Xiao Xi’s choice is due to Li Xi Rui’s bright beautiful eyes.

Li Xi Rui has always been a pretty girl since her childhood. Her beautiful family makes her oblivious to her own beautiful look. But what make her different are her expressive large eyes. As she matured, her eyes become more bright and clear. If she laughs, her eyes would twinkle like stars.  If she cries, her eyes would make one feel like drowning in them. Li Xi Rui’s biggest charm would be her eyes.

Xiao Xi had decided to cover Li Xi Rui’s whole face when Li Xi Rui said, “Xiao Xi, I couldn’t face the world. I want to wear a veil from now on. Their accusing eyes and the look on their face is too much for me to bear. At least with the veil, I would be protected. I would have something to hide myself behind. At least, I would not feel ashamed anymore”.

Feeling sorry and decided to protect her miss from other dirty glances, Xiao xi decided a veiled hat is the most suitable. It could obstruct her view as other people’s view on her. But never would Xiao Xi thought that the veiled hat flames the rumors about Li Xi Rui’s ugly face more and more. It is safe to say, Xiao Xi had remained oblivious of it till now.

QiQi and Li Xi Rui explored the mountain leisurely. “Let’s go over there”, Li Xi Rui walked quickly to the lowest level building. As she walks agilely due to her practicing some martial arts and quickly, QiQi couldn’t stop her in time.

Stretching her hands out, QiQi say, “Miss, that is where….disciples …..every morning”. The incoherent words fell to deaf ears. Li Xi Rui had long gone.

“One! HA! Two! HA! Three! HA!”, the sound of people shouted could be heard. As Li Xi Rui went to the direction of the voices, several people had noticed her. Particularly a man in white robe, with a similar white and gold mask covering his face. He is standing on a stage overlooking the people practicing martial arts below. He smiled behind the mask. The change in aura stops the people around. Even the people below the stage are looking at the direction the sect master has been staring at for a few minutes.

The disciples are stunned. They could only stare at Li Xi Rui with their mouths agape. ‘Why would a woman be here?.  Furthermore, it’s a lady as beautiful as a fairy!!!’, is what on their mind. Even if the lady is covering half her face, they could tell that the rest of her features would be as beautiful as her pair of eyes.  As they are looking at Li Xi Rui, the said lady seems oblivious. Li Xi Rui had been too used to people staring at her with hostile. So she just ignored the not hostile stares she received from those disciples as she walks passed them.
As she walks, she fixed her gaze on the white masked man. Of course she recognized that physique. Her own fluttering robes emphasized her curves as the people there silently watching her.

This displeases Long Jie. ‘These people in the sect are really courting death! They dared to set their gazes on his wife!’, he thought as his aura change to a murderous one.

Sensing the murderous aura, the people around retract their gazes. ‘Why is sect master suddenly got angry?’, they couldn’t figure out why.

Overlooking all these is Rui Sheng. He hides his smile behind his sleeve. ‘Ah~ the famous jar of vinegars’, he thought. His cousin tendency to become this jealous greatly amuses him. He is looking forward to more vinegar drinking in the future.

When Li Xi Rui is half way to the stage, Long Jie appeared in front of her. He is done watching other people coveting what is his. He clutches her waist with his arm and leap to the stage. Holding her by her waist, he said to the people below him, “You are to call her madam from this day!”. This instruction is an order as well as a warning for them to not set their sight on her. While the other masters and disciples are watching with shocked expression, the sect master did another affectionate action.

Long Jie took a black hair pin from his hair and carefully put on Li Xi Rui’s own hair. The black hair pin is a bit shorter compared to the normal hair pin. This hairpin could be easily recognized by the disciples of the Qilin sect as it is one of the sect’s treasures. The black color, serve as a contrast to the all-white ornaments on Li Xi Rui’s chestnut colored hair. Li Xi Rui just kept her silence as she blushed behind the white cloth. It was just last night Long Jie made her heart flustered, so being in closed proximity made her a bit shy. Long Jie just fix his gaze on her beautiful eyes. That twinkles on her eyes made his heart beats erratically.

While watching the intimate scene in front of them, the people around could only cry in their heart.

‘The sect master speaks more than five words!’

‘The sect master touches a woman!’

‘The sect master gives the Qilin beard hairpin to the madam!’

‘The sect master is throwing dog food around!’

‘Sect master, please stop throwing dog food around’

The voices of their heart are ignored by the mesmerized Long Jie. While the disciples are crying in their heart, the other masters are in chaos. The rate of their sect master’s aura change is as fast as the wind. From cold to gentle, gentle to murderous, and murderous to being enchanted. The sect master was as cold as ice.

Never would they have thought that they would have a chance to watch their sect master throwing dog food directly on their faces! They keep themselves singles because the sect master doesn’t like woman! So who would pay for their plight if the sect master is the one slapping their effort on their own faces?!
