Eros' POV :

I messed up, big time.

"You messed up dude, big time", Flynn frowned when I told him what happened with Belle.

We were currently en route to the Demon Land, the lair of demons. I know I lied to Belle about visiting the land of Demons, but it was for her own safety. What surprised me was that she was able to catch me lying, both the times, in the corridor and in the room, and I've always been a damn good liar.

When I saw her tear streaked face after I shouted at her, I knew I had messed up. But what could I do. If she knew what we were planning, she would've definitely wanted to join us. And I was proven right when she said that she wanted to join me on the trip. My blood boiled when I imagined her kind, bright self close to those blood sucking, lecherous demon creatures. Their kind was known to prey on people's fear and weakness. And I will not subject Belle to be even in their presence. But when she cried in front of me, all I wanted to do was pull her in my arms, and keep her safe, away from the world and away from me because I made her cry when I had promised to never let a tear fall from her beautiful eyes. Her pained face will forever be etched in my mind.

We broke her trust, Erasmus whined softly.

We had no choice, I tried to explain to my wolf, but he wouldn't have it. After all, he was merely an animal. And their instincts told them to just be with their mate. He ignored my explanations, not paying heed as to why I did all that I did.

"Don't need to remind me ", I sulked, glaring at Flynn, who raised his hands in surrender.

"You know that she feels inferior around Ariel, and yet you had to lie about it", Flynn irked me.

She feels inferior ?

"Why would she feel inferior ? I don't have any feelings for Lady Ariel."

"But that Lady has feelings for you ", Flynn whispered slightly, glancing to Lady Ariel walking in front of us, with her entourage of faeries.

I never really understood why girls always needed company, wherever they go.

"How am I supposed to know that ? And Belle should know that she's my mate, I don't have eyes for anyone but her."

How could Belle even compare herself to Ariel ? My Belle was a million times better than her. Her soft face, bright smile which lights up the whole room, her musical laugh, those big doe eyes which speak a thousand words on their own. Belle was in a league of her own. No one could match up to her.

" Did you prove it to her ?", Flynn stared at me, his question hanging like a sword between us.

Have I proven it to her ? My mind went back to yesterday's events, when I shouted at her and unknowingly took out my stress and anger on her, defending Ariel when it wasn't intended, repeating the same process again in the morning, when all I wanted to do was protect her and keep her safe. But all I did was make her cry, and break her heart.

"Seeing your face tells me that you've realized your mistake", Flynn spoke from besides me, munching on some chips.
"I messed up, big time."

"About time that you acknowledge it", Flynn muttered, mouth full of chips. I ignored him, focusing on how to make it up to her, to rebuild her trust. A loud boom broke my trance. I straightened, Flynn immediately turned alert, thoughts of eating and joking around out of the window.

A morbid stench invaded my senses, alerting me of a presence, a familiar presence.

"Come out, Dallas."

A high pitched laugh followed my demand, before a dark veil fell all around us, the once bright surrounding turning into a mass of darkness. A strong black energy was circling us, indicating that we were in the demon's realm.

"Be alert", I informed Flynn who nodded in response. Lady Ariel stood on my other side, her faeries hiding behind her, the evil aura was too much for their weak minds.

"Welcome, Alpha Eros, Beta Flynn, and Lady Ariel", Dallas bellowed in his squeaky voice. Lady Ariel flinched besides me, the strong wave of power emitted by Dallas was not to be taken lightly. I could smell the slight fear on her.

"Calm down, or you're dead", I whispered in her ear, "Demons feast on your fear. The more scared you are, the more control they have over you."

Ariel gulped loudly, before nodding at me.

"Show yourself, Dallas, or are you too scared to do it ?", I prompted him, to irk him in responding. After all, demons were quite arrogant creatures. A slight poke at their masculinity, and they'd blurt out everything.

"I see what you're trying to do there, alpha. Alas, it doesn't work on me", Dallas cackled, the shrill sound giving me a headache.

"But, seeing as you travelled so far to meet me and my clan, I guess I can spare a few minutes", he continued with a squeaky laugh.

"This dude has a really annoying voice", Flynn complained from my side. The dark aura around us withered away, and we were transported back to reality, in a forest with the clan of demons in front of me, and their leader standing with a smirk on his face.

"Its been a while, Alpha", Dallas spoke up, taking a few steps to stand before me.

"Can't say the same", I replied back, holding his gaze. I could feel him trying to assert his power, his dominance over me, but I held on. He was getting frustrated by the second, at not being able to break my walls. I smirked, knowing well about his antics. Demons are very easy minded stupid creatures, but once they get the hang of something, they perfect it to a T. That is why it is necessary to stay alert in their presence, because once they get in, they never leave you.

Show him what we're made up of, Erasmos growled , matching my thoughts. At that instant, I let my power flow, crashing into him like a wave. Dallas stumbled back in shock, fearful eyes staring back at me. I nudged a bit more, showing him who was in power here. He bent his neck in submission, calming my dominant side.

"We are here for business, not for war. But if worse comes to worse, I won't hold back", I spoke loudly, my voice echoing in the whole forest, making my intentions loud and clear. Dallas went back to stand with his clan.

"Of course, Alpha. Although I must say, you believe in your pack very much, seeing as both the alpha and beta are here", Dallas smirked, feeling confident now that he was standing with his clan backing him up.

I narrowed my eyes at him .

"My people are strong enough without me. And no one would be stupid enough to attack MY pack, now, would they ?", I taunted, my voice layered with threat. Dallas faltered a bit, but composed himself quickly. However I was quick to notice it.

There is something going on.

"Let's go inside and talk, shall we ? Lady Ariel looks like she can use a hot cup of tea", Dallas mused, gesturing to Ariel who was shaking from the cold. Stupid girl, I told her to be alert. And the temperature of this place wasn't helping either.

We started walking, following the demons to their houses.

I wonder what Belle is doing...

Belle's POV :

I wonder what Eros is doing...

Its been 5 hours since he left with that Ariel lady and Flynn. I was in his room, laying down in his bed and conjuring different scenarios about where Eros may be, whether he was safe or not, if he was done with his work or not, whether that horny fairy was keeping distance from my mate.

"Ugh, I'll turn stupid if I stay in this room any more longer", I grimaced, about to scream out in frustration. I couldn't even go outside because there was a huge possibility of me getting lost, and I didn't even knew anyone.

"Do you always talk to yourself ?"

A calm voice spoke up making me jump in fear. I turned to see Ryan, Eros' Gamma, standing at the door, a blank look on his face, as usual.

"What are you doing here ?", I asked, feeling glad to see a familiar face.

" I came to know you were here alone, so I decided to keep you company."

"That's very kind of you", I said surprised because Ryan was a very quiet person, keeping to himself. He shrugged and sat on a chair besides the bed. I sat cross legged on the bed, facing him.

"So, do you know where Eros went ?"

"If Eros didn't tell you, then I'm not allowed to say either."

Damn.

I thought I would get some information from him, but he was as tight lipped as his alpha.

"Have you watched guardians of the galaxy ?"

My question surprised him, because he was clearly expecting some more probing about the matter. He paused a moment before responding.

"N-no."

"Great, so you can watch with me. I think you'll relate to a character in the movie", I snickered, reminded of Drax.

"I'm not sure", Ryan muttered but before he could say anything, I had already grabbed Eros' laptop and put on the movie.

"Come on, you said you were here to keep me company, so do it."

Ryan grumbled and joined me on the bed, keeping respectable distance between us, which made me smile.

A gentleman right here.

I played the movie and kept the laptop between us.

Soon enough, both of us were engrossed in the movie, and I was able to keep Eros out of my mind, atleast for a short time.

That guy lives in my brain rent free.

***

"So, what do you think ? Don't you agree that you look like Drax ?", I turned to Ryan to see him frowning at my question.

"Not at all. He's an alien, I'm not."

"Say all you want Draxy boy, but you remind me of him", I laughed, while he looked mortified.

"I have a perfectly fine name, so please don't improvise."
"But it act-"

I broke off when I felt a deep pain in my heart, bringing tears to my eyes.

"Belle are you alright ?", Ryan looked at me in concern. I was about to answer him when another wave of pain hit me making me cry out loud. I fell down from the bed, the pain was becoming unbearable. Ryan crouched besides me, his face was etched with worry. He was talking, his mouth was moving, but I couldn't hear anything. There was a strange ringing in my ear. My eyes gravitated to the window to see black clouds rolling over, an ominous aura coming along with it. The sky, which was clear just moments ago, was dark and gray. Cold, strong winds were blowing through the window, ruffling the papers kept at the bedside table. The water filled glass kept on the table fell down from the impact of the wind, the shards flying in all directions. The curtains were moving fervently, almost angrily. Goosebumps rose along my body from the sudden drop in temperature. But that wasn't the only reason for my shivers. I could feel fear building inside me, deep fear, enough to make my legs tremble, however, I was confused.

These weren't my emotions.

"Belle ! ", Ryan came in my eyesight, panic painted all over his face, "What happened ?"

I looked at him, dead in the eye, a strange sense of worry washing over me, for the people who were experiencing such tremendous amount of pain and fear, the pain and fear which was running through my body at the moment.

"Something's wrong."
