*Swearing ahead!

Pacing around the room, you attempted at organizing your thoughts. The Ghost Crew was due to return at any minute. You plopped onto the dusty ground and let out a sigh. Almost as if they sensed your discontent, Moirai rubbed their face into yours. The lothcat began to purr, attempting to calm you. If someone were to walk in on the scene, they'd probably think that the two of you had switch bodies. Sudden thumps broke your concentration on the alien. Turning towards the direction of where the sound emanated from, Chin-Sun bursted into the room. Her black bangs laid in a mess on her pale face. Two words came from her lips.

"They're here."

Your (E/C) orbs widened. Quickly setting Moirai onto the dirt, you spring into motion like a windup bird. The images on the walls blurred as you sprinted out of the room. The brown lothcat kept close to you. You soon came across a fork in the path. Well frick. You may have been here for several days, but you still had no clue how to get around inside the caves. If you went down at the wrong path, you were sure you could end up several meters underground. Slowing down to a stop, you glanced backwards to find your nurse (and probably your only adult friend here) stumbling forwards. Rushing forward, you caught her just in time with your injured shoulder. Letting a small groan out, she fixed herself upright.  Realizing what she had done, she looked up at you. Chin-Sun let out a strew of apologies.

"Woah, slow down. I can't fell anything there, remember? Curtesy of you," You replied with a small reassuring smile. "Come on."

Motioning for her to lead, the short nurse quickly gathered herself before returning into a jog.  Glancing down to creature at your feet, you spoke out cheekily, "Lothcats first."

The alien returned your joke with a toothy smile and entered the tunnel. Switching into a run, you followed after them.

As you finally exited the ancient structure, you came to a stop. You flinched at the light shining down on everyone. Had you been up that long? The sudden drowsiness that washed over answered your question.  The buzzing of a radio caught your attention. Slowly, you walked over towards the group huddled around the machine. A male voice blared from it.

"The insurgency of Lothal is over. After a recent attack on Capital City the Renes have been crushed. Their leadership defeated."

Soft footsteps from behind you were heard. Several of those in the group including you glanced towards the Ghost crew members. The sight immediately broke your heart. Hera slowly shuffled forward clutching a small wooden statuette. Her eyes seemed to be glazed over. Glancing over to Sabine, you could clearly see dried tears on her face. Ezra wasn't better. His eyes were once so happy and full of hope. Now, they resembled shattered glass. You could tell he was holding back tears. The sight crushed your heart. Subconsciously, you hand clutches into a fist over your heart. You quickly looked at the ground. You couldn't look at them anymore.

"To honor the Imperial heroes that have valuably fought to save you from these extremists, all citizens are required to attend a celebration and parade in Capital City. A new day for Lothal has begun."

"Turn it off," Sabine demanded. The radio went silent. Ryder took a step forward.

"We have to contact rebel command. We need reinforcements." He stated.

"Well, as far as Yavin is concerned, this fight is over," Ezra replied. "Mon Mothma won't commit more forces to Lothal, not after this."

Ryder paused before looking at Hera. "General Syndulla." No response. "Hera, what do you think?"

Glancing towards the pilot, you saw her only hug the statuette tighter before walking inside. There goes your heart again. The shatter parts were now dust. You tried to reassure yourself. You can't mess with the timeline. It's not your fault. If you did anything, the whole course of the show could be knocked off course. Ezra turned back towards Ryder, hand held softly in the air.

"She just needs some time," he gingerly spoke. His hand fell to his side. You could tell he was trying to convince Ryder everything would be ok, but it sounded more like he was saying for himself.

Ryder harshly replied back, "Well, we don't have time. We need a plan."

"Well, I have a plan. The Empire is going to have a parade? Good. I'm going to add some fireworks to their celebration," Sabine announced. The sadness once in her eyes was now replaced with anger. She pushed through the group, walking away.

"Count me in," Zeb stated. He soon trailed behind the Mandalorian.

A brunet raised his voice into the conversation, "What should we do?"

Ezra merely shook his head before walking away, shoulders slumped.

"There's nothing we can do. It's over." Ryder responded.

Once, Ezra was out of sight you turned towards you group. Maybe it was the lack sleep, but you felt anger seeping through every cell in your body.

"It's over?!" You yelled. This clearly shocked everyone. To them, you were the quiet injured girl they had rescued. You rushed over to Ryder, poking your index finger into his chest with each word. "Rebels. My. Ass."

The leader of the Lothal rebellion stumbled back. "You know what rebels are suppose to do? Rebel. That's literally their job! You know what they also do?! They're suppose to provide hope. But with the look of all your sorry asses, you don't have any fight left in you. Do tell me, what's going to happen to the children and people who look up to?! Huh?!"

You looked around to see some of the soldiers looking at the ground. Ryder remained speechless.

"Are you fucking kidding me?! When my people lost hope, they at least still had the balls carry out their fucking plans. You know why?! They remembered every single right and liberty a person deserves! When they ran out of weapons, they still charged into the battle field. They took every damn bullet to the chest. They took every bomb." You pointed your arm out into the sun. The group of soldiers could almost see steam escaping your ears.

"So, get your sorry asses back to work, or are you all going to let down the people of this planet?" You asked. A few people shook their head, still shocked by your outburst. "Go."

Immediately, the area was cleared except for Ryder and Chin-Sun. You glared at the man before turning away. The nurse's face was extremely pale.

"Go find General Syndulla. Make sure she doesn't have any drugs or poisons in her bloodstream. We don't know what the Empire did with her."

The petite Asian woman quickly gathered her senses and gave a nod in response. You gave her an apology for your outburst before she turned to leave. You needed to speak to Sabine.

Quick A/N: Hey everyone! I just wanted to let everyone know that school has officially ended! You know what that means? I get to write more! However, I'm out of the country for a week, so I will still try to write. (Ironically, I got a sunburn in the exact place where the reader is injured.) Also, have you guys seen Detroit: Become Human? It's a masterpiece! Criticism and ideas are welcomed. In the future, I want to do a special chapter. This can be anything from seeing through the eyes of another character to something in a parallel universe. Cool, right? What would you guys prefer?Anyways, have a good week everyone!
