Here they are, still in this coffee shop.

(Y/n) lost a bet to Marshall, so he made her go on a date with him. The place was drowned with the smell of coffee and milk. The building was lit with the sunlight coming from the extremely huge windows. The cafe wasn't crowded, but was peaceful and had a relaxing atmosphere, however (Y/n) thought the opposite.

The boy sat in front of her, his eyes glaring at her, which made her cheeks red from embarrassment. She looked out the window to save herself from looking even more stupid. He can't know that she has a crush on him. She tried to stop herself from drowning in his blue eyes. Marshall had a reputation of just having flings and nothing more, so she would never let herself get in that trap.

"Why don't you look at me? We're on a date anyway." The boy smirked.

She covered her mouth and didn't say a word. He was attractive and nice and all but some people couldn't see anything but that. She focused on things that made her feel safe. After some things in her life, she stopped getting close with other people, in fear of history repeating itself.

Nobody likes the feeling of disappointment and a broken heart, and certainly she didn't.

"Do you have a boyfriend?"

"Why do you care?" (Y/n) snarled.

Marshall laughed in amusement. "Because I want to know if you would be my girlfriend."

The girl got angry and slammed her hand on the table. "Quit joking around."

The music was was gentle and melancholic, and it seemed like her heart synchronized with the melodic flow. The girl sipped her drink little by little, avoiding the fact that he was staring at her for almost an hour. Maybe it was the fact that the one person she fell head heels in love with was sitting in front of her, on a date with her, but she couldn't just stay this long on the same topic.

It was the spring season which meant flowers, Marshall and rain. Wait what did 'Marshall' have to do with the fucking list? Anyway, back to her daydreaming. (Y/n) had mixed feelings about him. He was actually kind of nice, but you could tell by his facial expressions.

"Would you stop zoning out at random times?" Marshall sighed. "I'm actually serious. I can't seem to get your attention and it's pissing the fuck out of me."

"No matter how long I stare at you, you don't seem to notice a thing." He continued.

"So you like have everyone look at you?" Her intentions were to trap him.

"Yeah, and so? I like to have people pay attention and listen to me."

Shit. She wasn't expecting that.

The tension was even more uncomfortable by that point for her, but he didn't seem to care. She frowned nervously and tried to look away. Marshall took her by her chin and force her to see only him.

"I don't understand why my heart beats faster than it usually fucking does when I see you, and I definitely don't know what to do about it. I feel real fuckin worried when I can't see you, so you're gonna have to be with me at all times.

Do we understand?"
