Tiptoeing towards the lawn where his love was painting and talking with Riddhi, Dhruv attempted to scare them off.

"Bhoo," he yelled close to their ears. Riddhi shouted with sickening apprehension yet shockingly, Saavi didn't.

She was just about as quiet as a profound sea. Riddhi stomped her feet and went inside whining while Dhruv snickered at her jokes.

Turning her gaze towards Saavi he asked, "You didn't get frightened?"

"You are not frightening."

"I can be, see I even terrified Riddhi."

"You can be, however, not to me."

"Truly?" He needed to ensure whether she was coming clean or trying to say it to satisfy him.

She gestured accordingly, grinning at him.

"So, you will never get scared of me? Not even in the future?"

"why would I even be scared of you?"

"Perhaps when I become ruthless." he was attempting to know her perception yet her answers were causing his feelings for her to develop much further.

"That will never happen," she said to him.

"What if you forget me and I come in front of you as a stranger and try to scare you. What then?"

She was confounded about his conduct. She pondered what caused him to pose these inquiries to her. Frankly, he didn't have the foggiest idea for what reason he posed those inquiries to her, he simply needed to converse with her, so posed her irregular inquiries that struck a chord.

She decided to answer and said, "I will always remember you."

"What if you don't one day?" he was desperate to know and was already making assumptions about what her answer could be.

"That day won't ever come. At any rate not in this lifetime." Her answer made him smile and gave an alternate and a warm inclination to his heart. Yet, unexpectedly a profound dread arose in him, dread of losing her.

"Promise me, that you won't ever fail to remember me," he said, stretching out his hand to her.

She didn't have any idea what had befallen him abruptly however as opposed to asking him, she made the promise.

"I promise," she answered, keeping her hand onto his. She made the promise unconscious of the way that the promise will be broken one day.

I believed her like a fool that she meant the promise, but little did I know that it will be broken one day. Yet, is there any good reason why it shouldn't be after all Promises are intended to be broken?

I was as yet not ready to get the picture of what happened some time back off of my mind,

After snatching the bracelet from Mrs. Maria, her eyes landed on me. SShe scooted in the corner of the room, trying to hide from me. I was simply too paralyzed to even consider expressing a word when Mrs. Maria said, "I'm sorry Mr. Kapoor, Rose simply doesn't care for the presence of outsiders. Would you be able to kindly move out?"

I was a stranger to her and she didn't remember me. Were seven years that much of time? How could she forget me that easily while I still remember every single detail of her?

I needed to clear my head. I knew I was not thinking rationally. I drove away from that point, far away. I drove at high speed without any destination in my mind while tears were rolling down my cheeks. I had to stop my car because of a dead end. It was suffocating in there, a lot of things were running into my mind. As I escaped the vehicle, I strolled to some distance and began shouting.

I was in dire need to vent out my emotions and there was no one I could confide in, not that I wanted to. I shouted till my lungs hurt and my throat went dry.

After some time I pulled it together however a ton of inquiries were running into my psyche. I felt deceived when Mrs. Maria said that line but....

What was she doing there? For what reason do they look like that? Why is she called Rose?

Shit! Instead of worrying about the unanswered questions, I was being an asshole and thinking about my pain.

How could I turn out to be so narrow-minded? How is it possible that I would think like that? How?

My head was hurting and the way that I was unable to think straight around then was not aiding me by any stretch of the imagination.

The best way to make my mind work again was to hurt myself. Indeed, that was the lone way, I thought and went towards my car.

I began punching the back window of my vehicle. I continued punching until blood began to come out. I dropped down there taking the vehicle's help when I had done enough damage to my car and not to mention my hand.

The pain in my head started to ease and about the one in my hand, I was not bothered about. The recent happenings in my life were making me think of my past actions and right now I need to have a clear picture of my further actions.

In any case, prior to taking any step, I required a few answers.

After staying there for a long, and doing a lot of thinking, I went back home. It was 4 in the morning when I reached home. I directly went inside the washroom and stood under the shower.

Dispersing my clothes off, I tried to release the tension from my body with the help of warm water coming out of the shower. The water on the floor became red because of the blood coming out of my hand. I didn't feel any pain in my hand like the one I was feeling in my heart which was much deeper.

After quieting myself a piece, I turned off the shower, left the washroom after wrapping the towel around me,, and as I was going to my wardrobe my feet halted before the mirror.

The person in front of me had bloodshot red eyes, he looked terrible. I couldn't even recognize that it was me. And then I realized where I was going wrong, I was doing it all wrong from the very start. I was a naive 7 years back who had no power in his hand but right now when I have the power in my hand what was I doing, crying about why it all happened instead of doing something about it.

That was not me.

Life had allowed me another opportunity and I was squandering it like a blockhead till now, yet not any longer. I planned to take action and decided not to back off no matter what came my way.

I wore my clothes after putting a bandage over my wound. It was 7 a.m and I went out to go to the NGO. Speeding my vehicle, I covered the distance between my house and the NGO in the minimum time possible. Meanwhile, my heart was thumping fiercely. I didn't have a clue what I would do at the second encounter with her but I had to take a step.

I went directly to Mrs. Maria's chamber and advised one of the staff to inform her about my appearance. As expected she was taking rounds as informed by the staff. I didn't have to wait for long as she came after 15 minutes but that felt like more than an hour to me.

"Hello, Mr. Kapoor." Mrs. Maria welcomed me while entering the cabin.

"Hello." I smiled faintly at her.

"You should be here for the reports, which I was unable to give you yesterday. Sorry about yesterday. Let me give you the reports." she said and began looking for them.

"I'm not here for the reports Mrs. Maria."

She saw me confused and after gathering all the courage left in me I said, "I am here for Saa...Rose."

She sat straight on her chair after listening to her name. "Mr. Kapoor, if you want the same as Sophia then please reconsider your decision. She will heal with time. She doesn't need to go to a mental asylum."

I was dazed at her reaction. How might she even figure that I will send my love there? How should she?

'She knows nothing, my inner self answered and he was correct.

"It's not that. I want to know about the details. And by details, you very well know what I mean?"

Releasing a breath of relief she nodded.

"She was brought here 3 months back with 13 other girls. She was a victim of smuggling but fortunately was rescued by the cops from Italy."

I remembered 3 months back when I went to Italy to complete a task given by Mr. Kozlov. Kiaan and Hredhaan were with me too. I was dealing with other stuff in life that I didn't even bother to check the girls. It was Hredhaan and Kiaan who had brought those girls to London to the NGO. I wish I could have done that.

"Every one of them was in trauma for some time but got healed with time. Some of them have been safely escorted to their homes," she added.

Pausing for some time she proceeded further, "We know nothing about her. All we know is she has experienced something horrendous. We don't have a clue about her name yet, Rose is only an elective name given to me by her."

"Saavi," I said.

"What?"

"Her name is Saavi."

"You know her?" I could see the bewildered expression of hers and the second I gestured accordingly, she was stunned.

I knew she must be having a lot of questions in her mind but she didn't speak, maybe she read my pained expression.

She continued with the details, "We attempted to discover her family, yet without any result. We tried to converse with her on the off chance that she recalls anybody however it didn't work. She can't stand seeing any stranger. I'm the only one she feels better around. It took a lot of effort though. She doesn't even sp....."

Mrs.Maria couldn't finish her sentence as we heard shouts and yellings coming from outside. We heard young ladies shouting and didn't know what was happening. The two of us hurried outside to see what the commotion was all about.

We followed the young ladies and the majority of them were accumulated in the lawn. Sophia came racing to Mrs. Maria looking terrified.

"Mrs. Mar...Maria...she..there...up..." She was gasping and wasn't able to speak properly.

"Sophia, inhale, Calm down first." After quieting Sophia, Mrs. Maria inquired, "Now tell me, what happened?"

"Rose," she said and pointed her finger upwards. We looked up and the Horrendous Sight I witnessed almost stopped my heartbeat.
