Dhruv

******

"Seriously, a friendly date?" Namit asked in dismay.

"I needed to cause her to concur so I advised her, it's a friendly date," I answered rubbing the nape of my neck.

"What's more, the honor for the best proposal goes to Mr.Dhruv Kapoor," Arjun said significantly.

"Alright, alright, folks enough. We don't have a lot of time. You have wrecked the proposal and now don't wreck on the date." Saying this Rohit went with Arjun and Namit to make the courses of action. Riddhi was at Saavi's place as she needed to prepare her for the date.

Jai and Nikhil were occupied with making different plans and here I am getting anxious.

Is it typical to be anxious on the primary date, I thought.

I was unable to even clear my doubt as none of my friends has at any point gone out on a date with somebody. I simply trust everything works out positively and I don't mess up anything.

Taking a long breath, I chose to look for something great to wear. I checked all my outfits yet couldn't discover anything great.

"What the heck! You are as yet not prepared? What's wrong now?" came the alarmed voice of Namit who was taking a gander at the dissipated garments on the ground.

"I was unable to discover anything to wear."

"Furthermore, shouldn't something be said about these clothes?" He pointed towards those which were dispersed on my bed and the floor.

"I couldn't say whether Saavi will like them or not."

"Fella, you are so whipped."

"Stand by till your turn, Namit Khanna."

"I won't ever act like this, trust me." His presumptuousness was trickling from his words.

"Better believe it, no doubt, whatever." Saying this I rolled my eyes.

"Now help me discover something," I added

"Gracious my dear lord, Please excuse my companion. It's not his fault. The dumb heart of his is making him doing such things." I heard the voice of my dramatic friends. Also, there he was remaining close to the entryway with his hands folded and he was looking towards the roof.

"Namit, would you be able to disclose to me why we are friends with this drama queen?"

"Since nobody can oppose my appeal." Arjun thudded down on my bed grinning at me and acting adorable and I shook my head in dismay.

I began to get the dispersed garments from the floor when a picture caught my eye. It came out from the pocket of my pants which were lying there. Arjun got it before I could arrive at it and said, "Your sister is adorable."

Reclaiming the photograph from his hand, I touched the image contemplating my little one, and said, "I know."

"She probably has grown up now, similar to you," said Namit.

"Dude, will you let me date her when you find her?" asked Arjun.

"No."

"What? Yet, why?" he sulked, unfortunately.

"Am I not charming?" he asked, flickering his eyes making a doggy face.

"Adorable? No. Dramatic? Certainly yes. I can allow Namit to date her yet not you."

"Alright, fine. Namit, how about I date Nitya when she...."

"No chance. She is a child," answered Namit when Arjun attempted to get some information about his sister.

"What after when she grows up?"

"No, not even then."

Rolling his eyes Arjun said, "Overprotective siblings."

The two of them helped me in putting back my garments into the cabinet. Time was running quickly. I was so befuddled about what to wear and furthermore I hadn't arranged muffins till yet which I planned to give her.

The date was this evening thus numerous things were undone. Choosing to bake muffins, I advanced toward the kitchen, and Namit and Arjun began to look for something for me to wear in the heap of my clothes.

Sheela Aunty helped me a bit, despite the fact that I was inflexible in not taking her assistance, however, she didn't allow me to do everything without anyone else. Keeping the last group of muffins in the oven, I set the timer and remained there somewhere down in my considerations if all that will go as arranged.

"Try not to think excessively. She will like it." Sheela Aunty responded to my unasked inquiry.

"I haven't chosen what to wear." I set up the rundown of my concerns before her to which she answered,

"Beta, you are thinking excessively. To the extent I know Saavi, she won't pay regard to what in particular you are wearing. All she will notice is your nature, if she judges you then the judging criteria will be your true self and not the outer facade." Sheela Aunty eliminated all my mediocrity which I was having some time back.

"Much thanks to you, Aunty."

Taking out the muffins from the oven and subsequent to keeping them in the container I went to my room to get ready.

Wearing the clothes in which I felt comfortable, I went to the area of our date which was my backyard.

Wishing me luck every one of my friends went to their homes. The apprehension was a distant memory. I chose to be my actual self and not to do anything over to intrigue her.

I took a gander at that point and there were as yet 10 minutes left for her appearance. After ten minutes, I heard the horn of the vehicle which was a sign that Rana Uncle had brought her. The ringing sound of my doorbell arrived at my ears and I went to open the door.

I opened the door and the moment I looked at her, I felt cheerful about my choice to not overdo anything, on the grounds that she was in her typical clothes yet was looking more than pretty. The lone distinction was her tee-shirt was tucked in and I was certain it was Riddhi's thought. This simplicity of my muffin attracts me more towards her.

"Hey."

"Hi, come in." I moved aside so that she could get in.

I took her to the backyard and she gasped looking at the arrangements. Her expressions were proof that she liked the arrangements and I was glad about it.

I made her sit on the chair arranged around the round table. She was appreciating the magnificence of the remodelled lawn when I said, "Thank You."

"What for?"

"For saying yes."

She muttered "Oh." uproarious enough for me to hear.

We were sitting in off-kilter quiet when I chose to break it.

"Might you want to drink something?" I felt like a server while asking that.

'Goodness, Dhruv. You have effectively begun to make things awkward.' My inner self ridiculed me

"Water," she answered and I felt so dumb for not asking her water when she came. I carried a glass of water alongside two glasses of juice. After she drank water, I gave her a glass of juice.

I was pondering what to converse with totally dodge this abnormal quietness that was winning among us and I surmise God got my sign when Saavi herself began to talk.

"You made these arrangements?"

"Not totally, others helped."

"I loved it," she said grinning and a smile showed up on my face all overhearing that. I began to inform her concerning my, Namit and Arjun's discussion from the morning when unexpectedly my internal identity again reprimanded me by saying,

'What are you doing idiot? It's your date, you ought to discuss yourself and her and not about your friends.'

Saying thanks to him for offering me a piece of supportive guidance, I began to educate her regarding my family. I recounted to her about my youth stories as well, when my sister Dhriti used to go overprotective over me and how she used to battle with our cousin Kiaan, Smita Maasi's child. I told her about my friend Hredhaan who lives in London.

"So you will go to London now?" she asked me.

"No, I will not."

"Then?"

"I don't have the foggiest idea. I have not chosen which college I will go along with." She gestured accordingly and I thought I never asked what will she do since the school has finished at this point. Everyone knows I want to opt for business management even when I am a science student, but I didn't know about her.

"Shouldn't something be said about you? I mean what would you like to turn into?"

"A painter," she answered.

"So, will you paint for me as well?"

"Obviously, I will. You don't need to request that."

Before long, I went inside the kitchen and brought the food Sheela Aunty and I arranged. I had prepared muffins only while Sheela Aunty had cooked, Paneer Tikka, Mushroom Manchurian and furthermore veg cutlet which was molded as heart and it was my thought.

We ate while talking and when her gaze fell on the heart-shaped cutlet, she looked at me and I just rubbed the nape of my neck feeling shy.

She blushed and tried to hide it with her hair but failed. After eating I brought the box of muffins and gave it to her, "What's this?"

"See for yourself."

She opened her box and as soon as she saw the contents of the box she squealed in happiness,

"Muffins."

I know her adoration for muffins is undying and it welcomed the most lovely grin all over. I felt a little pleased with myself that I was the reason for the most splendid grin all over.

"It's so delicious. If it's not too much trouble, express gratitude toward Sheela Aunty for this from my side, or stand by I will myself say thanks to her?" Saying this she went inside before I could stop her. I realized what was going to happen and as expected she came with a surprised expression.

"You made this?" I nodded accordingly.

"I'm sorry, I thought it was Sheela Aunty. I didn't want to hurt you...." Stopping her from babbling further, I said.

"It's fine, muffin. I didn't feel bad."

"Accompany me, I need to show you something." Holding her hand, I took her to the endpoint of the backyard. I have a propensity for holding her hand since the time I held her hand in the school cafeteria to quiet her down. The great part was she never drove me away and let me hold her hand.

We halted before the little tent.

"This is so lovely," she said and I made her sit. Turning on the projector, we watched the film Cinderella, because Riddhi disclosed to me once that my muffin consistently always wanted to watch it. She began crying when Cinderella's stepmother was tormenting her.

"Muffin, what happened?" Turning her around, I cleaned her tears not prior to stopping the film.

"How might somebody be so heartless? She was her mom, all things considered."

"I embraced her and said, "It's fine, muffin, it's not real. It's simply a film." I held her near me meanwhile we were watching the movie.

"You enjoyed it?" I asked her when the film wrapped up.

"I loved it," she answered and I smiled at her reaction.

She moved away when she saw our closeness and I didn't care for it, and yet, I likewise didn't have any desire to cause her to feel awkward.

"Muffin" I called her.

"Hmmm."

"Will you dance with me?" I asked stretching out my hand to her.

She thought for some time and afterward answered, "I don't have the foggiest idea how to move."

"I will instruct you. Now, Can I kindly have the pleasure to hit the dance floor with you?" Hesitantly, she put her little and delicate hand in mine and I took her out from the tent. I played the music and kept her one hand on my shoulder and request her consent, prior to holding her by her midsection.

We moved very much like Cinderella and the prince in the film. There was an agreeable quiet between us, the solitary sound which we could hear was that of the tune. We both were lost in one another eyes and my heart was pulsating quicker. We quit moving when the melody halted however I didn't leave her. Putting the strand of her hair behind her ear I touched her cheeks with my thumb and said, "You are the most beautiful girl, I have at any point met."

Taking out a crate from my pocket I said, "Muffin, I need to give you something." I gave the case to her and when she opened it she was stunned to see a similar bracelet which she lost on the day she was being bullied on the posterior of the school.

"How?" she needed to realize how could I discover it and I revealed to her it was Namit and Riddhi who discovered it. Clearing her disarray, I disclosed to her that it was me who gifted her this wristband on her birthday a year ago.

I apologized that I didn't have the boldness before to gift her face to face. Making her wear the bracelet again I bowed down on my knee. She had no clue about what was happening and I knew whether I didn't get the boldness today to inform her regarding my sentiments then I will consistently think twice about it.

"Saavi Bhatt, I saw you first time in the orphanage. The manner in which you were grinning lifted my state of mind. I was deprived of my parent's love but I was not short of anything else. In any case, you needed necessities and still had the million-dollar smile on your face. From the outset, I was interested, inquisitive to realize how might you grin like that, and I didn't have the slightest idea when this interest made me drawn to you. You became the reason for my smile and I started visiting the orphanage every weekend yet unexpectedly one day, you were gone thus did my smile.

I thought I didn't deserve good things in my life but you showed up once more, as my classmate and I was more than cheerful. I changed my section just to see you. You turned into the sole reason of my 100% attendance. I had no clue about what I used to feel for you until my friends stood up to me and caused me to acknowledge what it was."

She was simply remaining there, seeing me confused at all my disclosures. I took an interruption and afterward again began,

"I understood, it was Love. I succumbed to you without acknowledging and my affection for you just developed further step by step. I know all this is too much to digest but I had to tell you."

At the point when she didn't respond the entire 5 minutes I posed the most anticipated inquiry,

"So my adorable little muffin, Will you be my better half?" She was as yet in stun and remained silent. Getting restless I said,

"Saavi, if it's not too much trouble, say something."

Lastly, she spoke, "I...I don't what to say."

I got up and said, "I'm sorry for this abrupt confession however I was unable to remain quiet about it for long."

Our date finished with an Unanswered Question. I went to leave her to the entryway but before she could sit in the vehicle, I maneuvered her into an embrace and amazingly she folded her arms over my middle making me grin.

I pulled separate and left a lingering kiss on her temple which made her redden. She left saying she will answer me by tomorrow.

Tossing and turning on my bed around at night time, I continued thinking about our date. Hoping a 'Yes' from her, I floated to sleep.
