Just before Christmas in 1966, Elvis went down on one knee and purposed to priscilla, with a three-and-a-half carat diamond ring, circled by 20 smaller detachable diamonds.

A supreme Court justice presided over the nuptials, at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas, in a small suite on the second floor.

Priscilla wore a white organza gown trimmed in pearls with lace sleeves and a full train. On her head she wore a crown made of rhinestones and three-quarter-length tulle veil.
Elvis wore a black barcade suit.

Elvis then carried his new bride across the threshold singing the Hawaiian wedding song, the newlyweds then returned to memphis to host a reception at Graceland for family, friends and staff. Apparently even a few lucky fans were in attendance.
