'Any meat that Elvis ate had to be almost burnt. He didn't like to see any red or any blood. He'd gag at the sight of a pink hamburger. Or he'd throw it away or throw it at someone.

We were doing a movie one time and one of the crew members was a big muscular guy. He used to eat raw steaks. When the catering truck came around, he'd order a steak and say, 'throw it on the grill.' And as soon as it hit the grill  he'd say, 'okay, turn it over.' Then he'd say, 'pick it up,' and he'd eat it.

We showed that to Elvis one time, and he got the shivers.'
