Aaron Knight

"What the fuck man?" I hiss and shove Daniel. He stumbles back and holds up his hands.

"You knew she was coming." He says slowly and puts his hands on my shoulder.

"Yeah I did, but I told you I didn't want to see her."

"I thought you moved on? It's been two years and your better now." He explains. I grab my hair and close my eyes.

Seeing her again... just did something. It made my heart speed up and my palms sweaty. What the fuck is happening?

"Look A, she regrets it. I can tell. You should've seen her at the hospital that day. And James-,"

"Don't." I growl and my face hardens.

I got rid of that piece of trash long ago. Let's say he's somewhere in Alaska, or the North Pole.

"Does she know?" I ask and run my hands on my face.

"About you trying to take her company? Yeah she does." He says sarcastically.

"And she was really mad." He continues.

"Good."

"Why is she even here? Like she couldn't talk to her father over the phone? I need to make sure Mr. Collins takes my offer." I stand up and walk to the window. Daniel comes and collapses on the couch.

"He really likes you huh?" He says a pops a grape in his mouth.

"And?" I grumble.

"Your pretty fond of him too." Daniel teases like a bastard. He gets comfy on my couch and kicks off his shoes.

"No I'm not." I reply with a glare.

"Oh cmon! You were helping him down the stairs the other day and you even smiled at him when he solved that mystery game you guys were playing. And he wasn't even looking when you smiled." Daniel laughs and throws his hands in the air.

"You tell anyone that and I'll arrange your grave." I threaten and feel my ears turn hot. He shrugs and zips his lips.

"Where's Seth?" I ask.

"Probably at the casino getting some girls. I don't know who he's trying to convince he's not gay, himself or the media." Daniel cringes.

I laugh loudly and shake my head. The other day Daniel brought in a male stripper and Seth literally ran out of the room with a red face.

"Soo.. do you still love Aurora?" He asks nonchalantly.

I immediately shoot him a glare and he sinks further into the couch.

"I heard she has a boyfriend. A serious one." He mumbles and my ears perk up. I look out of the window in disinterest.

"Really? Good for her." I say calmly and check my emails.

"I heard her saying to her friend that he's violent with her." He mutters on and shrugs.

My fingers stop typing mid air and fire spreads throughout my eyes.

"What did you say?" I grit out through clenched teeth. Daniel says nothing and and continues eating his grape.

I stand up At lighting speed and grab his collar. "He hits her?" I growl.

"I'm kidding! Seriously! I was trying to see if you still have feelings for her. You obviously do." Daniel confesses with a silly grin.

"Daniel! Don't do that type of crap." I hiss and let go. My heart returns to its normal speed and I sigh deeply.

Ever since Aurora left things have been quiet here, I admit. But her going away put my mind at rest.

She would always make me go crazy and make everything confusing.

I'm angry, I really am. I regret never getting to let her explain why she kissed James but I'm glad I didn't.

I wouldn't have been able to bear it.

I still haven't forgiven her.

But I'm over it. Loving is too hard.

Not that I loved Aurora. Which I totally didn't.

Things have calmed down around here I guess. Ray now lives with me and my father and I reached an..agreement.

I couldn't have gotten through it without Seth and Daniel, I really couldn't have.

"You staying over?" I ask Daniel and turn up the heater.

"Yeah whatever. It's lonely at my house anyways. Maybe we can have a sleepover." He suggests with a smirk.

"What a girl." I mumble and walk past him to my bedroom.

"Hello Mr.Collins." I groan and check the time. Why's he calling me at eight in the morning?

"I've looked over your offer. Want to join me for breakfast?"

"..sure." I mumble and cut the line. I stuff my face into my pillow once more and curse the sun streaming through the window.

I ring the doorbell and wait impatiently. It's fucking cold.

Martha the maid opens the door and welcomes me in. "Hello Martha." I say smoothly and walk past her. I jog to Mr.Collins office and just open the door without knocking. I've been here enough.

"Aaron my boy! Take a seat," He greets me and motions to the chair. He's seated on his leather spinning chair and eating a biscuit. "How are you?"

"I'm good. How are you? Feeling any pain?" I ask and plop down on the couch.

"Nope. I feel like a baby!" He exclaims happily. I smile at him and am suddenly reminded of when Aurora told me he cheat on his wife.

He came clean to her by the way. They're all good now. She forgave him and I've had a close eye on him.

I guess it's true, if it's meant to be,

Then it'll be.

"Excuse me, I've got to go to the washroom." I excuse myself and step out.

I hum quietly and run my hand through my hair when I hear a sound.

I turn back and inch closer to the door. An arm suddenly grabs my wrist and pulls me into a closet.

"Don't punch." A soft voice says at perfect timing. So close.

"Aurora?" I whisper in the dark. A light switches on and I see her face.

"What are you trying to do? Trick my father? Scam him? I won't let you!" She hisses in my face and jabs her finger into my chest.

"Who's going to stop me?"

"I will." She says defiantly.

I chuckle and open the closet door while shaking my head.

"You have no idea what I'm going to do Aurora Collins, it's only a matter of time before you find out." I say with a smirk and walk away leaving her
open mouthed.

"I'll ruin you Aaron Knight!" She shouts angrily.

"Try princess." I send her a sly wink and walk away feeling proud of myself.
