"Hey Mom?" I call out and put my hands on my hips. I close my closet door and stare at my messy room with clothes everywhere and nail polish stains on my carpet. I cringe as I think of how long it'll take me to clean this up.

"Yes?" She pops her head in with a phone held to her ear.

She looks busy and I figure I'd rather do it myself. She'd be no fun to go shopping with anyways.

"Nevermind." I respond and grab some light wash jeans and a Harvard sweatshirt. She waves her hand and leaves, I close the door and quickly get dressed. I slip on my pale pink Vans slip ons and grab my phone.

Charlotte is out with Daniel somewhere and my date with Aaron is getting closer and closer and I've got nothing to wear.

He said to dress classy but everything I pick out is either plain or way too classy.

I make my way downstairs and I pass my dad seated on a counter chair typing away on his phone. He's in his work clothes with a cup of coffee next to him. When he takes notice of me he smiles broadly.

"Hey. Where you off to?" He asks and turns my way. I quickly lay a peck on his cheek and pull on my coat.

"Just the mall. I'm kinda bored." I laugh and grab the keys to the Jeep from the key stand next to the door.

"You don't really need a coat. It's 56 degrees out there." He says and sips his coffee. I hang back my big coat and grab a light sweater.

"Where Parker?" I ask suddenly. I haven't seen him since last night.

"Oh he's at a sleep over at the Clarkson's house with his school friends." Dad says shortly and just then his phones rings. I take that as my reminder to leave.

I really hate going to the mall alone because well..your alone. But right now I've got no one to go with me. I can't call Aaron, or char, definitely not Daniel.

I hop in my car and as I'm about to drive off my phone rings. The caller ID reads Seth. I lightbulb goes off in my head. I can go with Seth!

I answer the call, "Hello?"

"Oh thank god you answered." He says immediately and breathes in relief. I furrow my eyebrows.

"Why wouldn't I answer?" I laugh and lean back into my seat.

"Because I didn't call sooner. Anyways how are you? I heard what happened yesterday." He says quickly in concern.

"I'm fine. Everyone's fine." I calm him.

"Okay good. I was just about to get some food. What to come?" He offers. My eyes brighten.

"Actually, I need an outfit for my date with Aaron. Wanna come? After that we'll get food." I offer and put the phone on speaker.

"Umm...sure. I meet you at the mall near that children's hospital. I forgot what it's called."

I laugh and nod my head even though he can't see me. "See ya." I cut the line and start driving to the mall.

As I stop my car at a red light a small cafe catches my eye. Since my car is literally right next to it, fresh baked goods engulf my nostrils.

Um, I'm gonna make a stop.

I drive my car back around and park next to the cafe/bakery.

I start walking towards the door and hug the sweater tight around myself. I tuck my hair behind my ear since the darn wind doesn't want to be on my side today.

I open the door and the smell of baked goods immediately warms me up, bringing a smile to my face. The store really gives off a country side vibe. It's small and cozy with welcoming colors everywhere. It's not too crowded either.

I stand in line seeing how theres two people in front of me and about three people seated at tables.

While I'm waiting, my eyes shift towards a table near where I'm standing. Seated is a girl, about my age; maybe younger, with bright purple hair and headphones on.

Shes typing away on her phone with a relaxed face and she's wearing a black shirt with 'Feminist Rocks' written in white bold font. She looks nonchalant and welcoming to say the most.

She's muttering something under her breath and it's really bothering me cause I can't make out what she's saying.

I try to step closer and not come off as too suspicious. There's a newspaper rack to my left and I lean in, showing that I'm reading the magazine titles when really I'm trying to hear what she's saying.

For all I know she could be lip syncing to a song but I need to know what shes saying.

When I'm close enough and luckily no one seems to take notice of my snooping, I finally can make somewhat of what she's mumbling. I strain my ears any closer and......

"My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard and I'm like go back I'm gay, if you got a sister, throw her my way." She sings in a whisper and bobs her head.

I snicker unexpectedly and stick my palm to my mouth in a desperate attempt to stop the enormous laughter that's about to come out.

I shut my eyes tightly as I laugh behind my hand. I'm dying inside and I gain a few glances from the people around me but fortunately not the milkshake girl herself.

Iconic.

I calm myself and take a few deep breaths. I just have to stop thinking about, thinking about it triggers my laughter.

When it's my turn I order my regular coffee and a chocolate muffin for Seth. I pay the friendly man and make my way to my car.

When I'm all seated I drive off to the mall. That was a ten minute detour or so. Maybe shorter. But it was one worth remembering. I giggle as I recall the moments before.

I approach the mall and park my car. I grab the bakery bag and my coffee along with my LV clutch.

I see Seth seated on the stairs with his phone held to his ear. When he spots me he ends the call and stands up with his arms outstretched, a grin overtaking his freshly shaven face.

"Aloha sweet cheeks." He greets and hugs the bakery bag, pushing me aside. I slap his arm and snatch the bag from him.

"I thought you were going to give me a hug asshole." I laugh and return the bag to him. He takes the bag and engulfs me in an embrace afterwards.

"To be fair, I was going to. Just after the muffin." He chuckles along and holds open the door for me.

"Okay where we going first?" He asks and cracks his fingers and massages his neck.

"Urban Outfitters. I need a classy dress and heels." I respond and drag him towards the store. "Let's get to work."

Okay, I'll be honest. Shopping with Seth is ridiculously fun. He made me laugh every minute and gave surprisingly good fashion advice.

In conclusion, I found the perfect dress but decided to not get shoes because I had ones that will go perfectly with these at home.

It was gorgeous. The dress was surprisingly easy to find and I found a cute little clutch and earrings to match. Both were purchased at ESCADA, thank god for that store.

Currently, Seth and I are seated outside near our cars on the edge of a water fountain. We're sipping our smoothies we picked up after our shopping rendezvous.

"Do you like the dress?" I ask and cross one leg over the other, leaning back into the brick wall.

Today is gorgeous, well better than the others. It's not really cold so I don't have to wear my coat and there's barely any wind so I can let my hair hang loose. The sun is peeking out from behind the clouds giving the perfect amount of sunshine.

"Oh I love it. It puts the elegant in elegant." He says like it's the most obvious thing in the world.

I burst out laughing and just then I hear someone call my name from a distance.

A very familiar voice.

"Was that Brenda?" I ask Seth and sit up, looking around. Yes that Brenda. The queen bee in high school, the one who threatened me with that picture, the one I punched.

"Yes it is ladies and semi gents." Says a cheery voice from behind me.
