"Would you like some bags, today?" The cashier looked at Ian. He give her a small smile and pointed at me.She give me a quick look before looking back at him.

"Yes please." I said.

She started scanning the things while starting a conversation with Ian. Ian, no doubt was a smooth talker as he kept the conversation going.

Before I could pay for my groceries, he already did.

"Hey!" I said pretty offended by his move. "Why did you do that?"

He simply shrugged as he took the bags.

"Have a good day." The woman called out.

"You too." He give her a million dollar smile.

He started loading his car with the groceries and I pulled out the cash. He raised his hands and said, "Instead of this, how about you treat me for dinner?" He asked with a small grin.

"What?" I asked surprised by how smoothly he did it.

"You want me to repeat?" He chuckled.

"Take this money and I will also treat you with dinner." I said.

"It's the latter that I want." He said as he shut the trunk and walked towards the driver's side of the car.

"Are you in or not?" He asked as I groaned and walked to the passenger's side of the car.

He took us to burger and fries restaurant. I see most of our school's students here, he must be a regular here judging by the fact that he knew every single server there.

I shifted from one foot to another as we waited for a table. "I'm sorry, I forgot to ask you if you were fine with Burgers and fries." He apologized.

"I'm fine with it." I said.

"You're sure?" He asked and I nodded my head. I'm not a picky eater, it's just I don't like the environment we were in.

"Let's get out of here." He said before pulling me along with him towards the door.

"It's okay, I'm fine with it."

"I'm not fine with it." Was all he said before he opened the door for us to leave. Till now I don't get him at all- his mood changes every now and then that I have no idea what he is thinking.

"Let's just get take out." He said as he nodded his head in approval. "What would you like to eat?"

"Anything?" I said.

"Not just anything. Tell me what would you like?"

"We can get take out from here?" I pointed at that burger joint. "I've never been here before."

He sighed. "I'll order some, you can wait in the car?"

"Okay." I said. He switched on the heater and made sure I was comfortable.

"Letter, tomatoes and ketchup are okay?"

"Yup all good." I said.

"Great." He said.

"Here." I said handing him my debit card.

He give me a puzzled look and when realization hit him, he laughed. "Next time." He give me a quick wink before getting out of the car not before locking me in to make sure I wouldn't come out.

It took him a while to come back, he came back with four paper bags and I wondered how much he bought.

"That's a lot of foods?" I pointed out.

"I bought a little of everything that I hope you might like. It's really good!" He smiled and I couldn't help but smile back at him.

He drove us to Downtown and pulled in to a high rise building.

"Where are we?" I asked as I looked at the beautiful building in front of us.

"Condo." He shrugged.

"You live here?" I asked.

"Not really, it's my hang out spot."

"That's an expensive hang out spot."

"You think so?"

His place was far more perfect than the building. It was spacious and surrounded by every latest technology in the world.

"It's so beautiful." I said mesmerized by the beautiful space.

"Thanks." He said as he started taking out the foods from the bag. I quickly turned to walked towards him to help him unload. He took out a remote and press a switch and the dark glasses suddenly turned visible and I could see the whole city from the room.

"What?" I said standing up from the bar stool and walked towards the lights.

He followed behind me and stood beside me as we both watched the beautiful city in front of us. The city was busy even at this hour.

"It's beautiful." I said looking at the streets.

"What is beautiful?" He asked.

"This place, this view." I said looking at him, we made eye contacts and everything around us fell silent. We didn't say anything as we looked at each other.

He shake his head, "I disagree." He said. I give him a confused look. "I think you standing here makes the world look much more beautiful for me."

I rolled my eyes at him.

"I'm serious." He said.

"Sure." I said, shaking my head as I walked back to the counter.

He did not say anything after that as we ate silently.

"Which one is your favourite?" He suddenly asked.

I pointed to the roasted potatoes.

"For real?" He asked. "Of all the delicious foods you choose this one."

"I like that, it's good."

He give me an interesting look and before he could have said anything else my phone rang. It was of course Brent.

"El, I have to stay over night here today. Will you be okay on your own?"

"Yes." I said standing up to move a little away from Ian.

"Where are you anyway?" He asked.

"Eating dinner." Which is not a lie, but if I tell him who I was with he will be worried and I don't want him to stress more.

"Okay. Lock the doors and make sure the windows are lock as well."

"Okay." I said. "Take care and don't forget to eat!"

"Later El." He laughed. "Okay got to go, love you."

"Love you too." I said.

"Who was that?" Ian asked.

"Someone." I said. "Should we tidy up?"

He didn't look please with my answer and didn't push me for more as we started cleaning the place. It was already 8:30 pm. All I wanted to do now is to go home, take a shower and curl up on bed but he seemed to have another plan.

"You want to go for a walk?" He suddenly asked and I looked at my outfit. "Not a good idea.." he paused to think. "How about we watch something then?"

"Honestly I want to go home.." I said. "I'm tired."

"Oh." Was all he could say, "Let's go then." He said suddenly his facial expression went blank.

"You want to go for dessert?" I suddenly felt bad seeing his expression.

"That's great!" He said a little excitement returning on his feature. "I mean that would be great." He said clearing his throat as he compose himself and give me a small smile. "Where would you like to go?"
