After some time with Payakan, the three musketeers head back to the island before sunrise. They didn't want anyone knowing about their relationship with the Tulkun, it could risk the safety of themselves or Payakan.

Now safe and sound in their Marui, the three musketeers just lounged around. Not much to do when there's nothing to be done.

Manu decided to take his three sisters out, to the sand.

"I'm bored as hell. Play tic-tac-toe with me." Manu says suddenly, sitting criss cross on the sand.

Manu and Y/N suddenly engage in combat. A Tic-tac-toe in the sand type of combat.

It first started with Manu winning, which caused him to run around the beach, screaming and barking in victory with his hands in the air.

Second round came along, and Y/N ended up winning.

"That was just luck." Manu says, redrawing the lines for another round.

"Maybe you're just bad." Y/N says, keeping score.

"Shattup. I had the first point." Manu sneers, pointing his finger at Y/N, who just laughs.

Third round, Y/N won again.

"Nah, you cheated." Manu says, shaking his head.

"HOW CAN I CHEAT- IT'S TIC-TAC-TOE?!" Y/N exclaims.

"Ion even know, but I know that you cheated." Manu says, waving his finger in front of his face.

"Whatever." Y/N says, preparing for the next round.

In the middle of their tic-tac-toe match, the three musketeers had a few spectators.

"Why are they writing in the sand with sticks?" Tuk asks

"I have no idea.." Neteyam says, staring at the three.

"And why is that boy running and yelling?" Kiri asks, covering her ears and frowning at Manu.

"I told you guys, they're weirdos." Lo'ak says, and gets scolded at by Neteyam.

"I wanna play with them!" Tuk says, running towards the three musketeers.

~

"HOW AM I LOSING?!" Manu says, standing and kicking the sand while screaming.

"Just calm down guys, it's just a game-"

"You don't understand Maya." Manu exclaims, falling to his knees with his hand clutching his chest.

"Well, if you quit then that means I'm the winner." Y/N says, a cocky smile on her face.

Manu's eye twitches, "YOU CHEATING BI-"

"Can I play too?" Tuk asks, walking up to the group.

The three of them freeze, Manu slowly turning to the young Na'vi girl, who only looks back at him with a smile.

"Uh.." Y/N says, looking at Maya.

"Of course you can! You can play against me, I'll teach you how to play first." Maya says, grabbing a stick and drawing the lines in the sand.

Tuk sits beside Maya, an excited smile on her face as Maya explains how to play. Once Tuk gets the objective of the game, they start playing.

Tuk ended up winning against all three of them, which resulted in Manu burying himself in the sand, Y/N sulking, and Maya being a proud teacher.

"FIRST I GET BEAT BY YOU-" Manu points at Y/N, "AND NOW I GET BEAT BY A TODDLER? WHAT THE ACTUAL- heck." Manu says, censoring his words due to the young Sully girl being there.

"You did good! For your first time too, you are a fast learner." Maya says to Tuk, the young girl smiling in delight at the compliments she was receiving.

Neteyam watches the scene from a distance, a small smile on his face.

Lo'ak looks out at the group, and back at his brother.

Kiri stares at the three strangers playing with her younger sister.

Neteyam soon walks forward, dragging along his two other siblings.

"Tuk! You can't just run off like that!" Neteyam says, as Tuk runs toward him.

"I made some new friends." Tuk says, pointing to the three musketeers.

"Oh. Hello, I'm Maya. It was nice to meet you and your siblings, your sister is very smart." Maya says to Neteyam.

"I'm Manu, you've seen me before." Manu says, looking off to the side awkwardly.

"I'm Y/N." Y/N says blankly, dusting the sand off her shoulders.

The Sully's first thoughts of the three musketeers.

Lo'ak wondered what that were playing.

Kiri was wondering if they were rude like the other Na'vi their age.

And Neteyam wondered why you were all so tall.

You three were somewhat taller than the Sully's, and that sorta intimidated them.

Yet, you seemed friendly.

You all decided to sit together, and play tic-tac-toe.

~

Tuk ended up beating everyone.

Manu was running around the beach, Y/N laid on the ground unmoving, Maya cheered Tuk on, Lo'ak was being a try hard, Kiri didn't wanna play, And Neteyam was still trying to get the hang of it.

Though everything seemed to be going so well, there was one thing that never left Y/N's mind.

It was the fate of the Sully family.

Yes, they "won".

But they also lost. They lost Neteyam.

Manu was also freaked out, but was more focused on the tic-tac-toe.

Maya didn't really think much about it, and just wanted to live in the moment.

But, the truth ate away at Y/N. So, she excused herself from the group and walked to the Marui.

The grief of losing a loved one was something she had endured many times before, and she didn't want it happening to the Sully family.

Kicking the sand as she walked back, she didn't notice the concerned look Maya and Manu had.

Inside, she laid in her bed- so many thoughts in her mind.
But one thing was for sure.

Neteyam isn't dying this time.
