Aubrey's POV:

Today has been a horrible day, first I lose my job and then on my way home the car decides to break down hence why I've been sitting at the bar alone for the last two hours, I mean how long does it take for someone to come and assist? I just hope it's nothing major because I didn't have the money before and that was when I had a job, so I defiantly don't have it now.

I lead the good looking stranger out to my car. It's dark now and the street lights are on, the streets are quiet but the music from the club is loud.

"You do this often then?"

"What? Help pretty girls in their time of need?" He grins and holds out his hand "Keys"

I take my keys from my pocket and place them in his hand "Helping pretty girls, is that what you call it?"

"Oh," he grins "You heard that remark from Nate? The car sex thing? Don't worry I don't expect you to put out on the first night of us meeting." He winks

I gulp slightly as his words "I-"

"Kidding, but yes I do make it my mission in life to help as many pretty girls as I can, in whatever way they might need my help." Once again, he's referring to sex

"I get it, you're a player, now will you tell me what's wrong with my car?" I fold my arms

"Oh, snarky, I like it." He smirks as he pops the hood and looks under it, moving a few things around. "I see," he calls from under the hood as he moves a few wires around. "Try starting it now."

I step into the drivers' side and turn the key, the engine starting instantly. I shut it back off and step out as the male closes the hood.

"What did you do?"

"Loose wire." He shrugs "It's back in for now, but you should get it fixed properly just to be safe."

"I'll be sure to do that with my last fifty dollars." I sigh and lean against the car door "Thank-you though, for getting it started I mean."

"I told you, helping pretty girls is my thing."

I turn to him and can't help but smile, there is something about him that draws me to him, he is really good looking, but it's not that, it's something more. "Okay, well, thank-you."

"You said that already." he gives me his famous grin once more

"Right." I laugh and look down at my feet feeling stupid. "I best be getting home"

"Have a good night" He smiles and turns on his heel walking back towards the club.

I step back into the car and close the door, locking it like I always do. In the last couple of years the crime levels in Springs have really started to rise, so day or night I keep my car doors locked, just in case.

I make the short drive home and park my car in it's spot in the driveway, I step out and lock the door behind me then head up the two small steps to our front door. I unlock the door and step inside, pushing it closed and lock it once again

"Claire, Caleb are you home?" I yell as I pull my jacket off and place it on the hook

"Living room," Claire calls back.

Claire and Caleb Williams, brother and sister and my best friends for as long as I can remember. We grew up in Arizona and first met in middle school. Claire and Caleb have a really good relationship and I thank my lucky stars I have them in my life every day. I've lived with Claire and Caleb since I was thirteen, most of those years were in Arizona but for the last two years, we've been here in Springs, just the three of us.

"Hey." I give them a soft smile as I make my way into the living room

"Hey, how was work?" Claire smiles

"Uh, I need to talk to you guys." I sigh softly and sit down on the couch next to Caleb

"Sound serious." He turns the television off and they both give me their full attention

"I'm going to have to find somewhere else to live."

"What? Why?" Claire questions in a panic

"I lost my job today, I'm not going to keep up my part of the rent." I tell them honestly "I have enough saved to pay the next two weeks and then that's all."

"But, if you don't have a job, where are you going to live?"

"She's right." Caleb adds "If you don't have money to live here, you don't have money to live somewhere else either."

"That's not for you guys to worry about, I'll work it out."

"We will worry." Claire huffs "We're not kicking you out, we can cover it for now, and if it gets really bad I can always call dad and-"

"No." I stop her mid-sentence "I love you both, so much, and I appreciate you're willing to do that for me, but no, your parents have already taken care of me for the past nine years, I can't keep asking them for help."

Buzz, Buzz, Buzz

"I'll be right back, I need to take this." Claire stands up and exits the room to answer her buzzing phone

"Hey," Caleb whispers and puts his arm around me "It's okay, you're going to be fine, you're not going anywhere."

I snuggle into his arms and he kisses the top of my head softly, I don't know what I'd do without him. I close my eyes for a moment as I breath in his cologne like I often do, only the image that appears in my head isn't his face, rather it's the good looking males from the club. I open my eyes and think for a moment, I didn't ask for his name.

"I'm back, sorry." Claire smiles as she enters the room, Caleb with his arm still around me, and me with my head on his shoulder. Claire has always shipped Caleb and I, but I would never want to ruin our friendship, what if we didn't work out?, I'd lose not only him but Claire as well.

"Can I borrow your laptop to apply for some jobs?" I question as I sit up

"Sure, it's in my room."

I stand up and head to the end of the hall, once I reach her room, I enter, take the laptop and go back to my own room sitting down on my bed with my legs crossed as I open google.

Raven's I type the name of the club into google and hit search, luckily the club is the first thing that appears and I click on the website. My eyes scan the page and I click on the about us section, scrolling down to the bottom, owner, bingo.

Easton Raven.

I go back to google and type his name to see if I can find anything else.

Easton Raven, Owner, and founder of Raven's a bar a club located in Springs, near California. Twenty four years old.

"Who's Easton Raven?" Claire questions from behind me

I gasp and jump at the sound of her voice "Don't sneak up on me like that." I told my heart as I slow my breathing.

"Well?" She sits down and takes the laptop clicking on the link to his Instagram "Oh, he's cute, again, who is he?"

"Easton Raven." I shrug

"I can see that." She rolls her eyes "Why are you looking him up?"

"I met him tonight and he helped me get my car started, but I realized I didn't ask for his name."

"And?"

"And what? I should at least know the name of the person who helped me." I play it off

"What were you planning to do send him a thank-you note and some home-baked cookies? Come on Aubrey, spill."

"He's-" I start and sigh out softy "We just, well at least I think I had a connection with him, but I'll never see him again and I just wanted to know his name, that's all."

"Why won't you see him again?" she raises a brow, "It says right here he's the owner of Raven's I'm sure you'd find him there at some point."

"I'm not going to stalk the man Claire." I giggle softly

"No, but maybe he could give you a job."

"Excuse me?"

"You're looking for work and he owns a club, I'm sure they're always looking for staff."

"I don't know, I'd feel strange to even ask. I can't just walk in and ask for a job."

"No, but you could hand in a resume." She suggests and shrugs her shoulders

Easton's POV:

I make my way back into the club and over to the table where everyone is still drinking and talking. Once again I find Nate with his hands on my sister, and my sister with her hands on him, I don't know what these two think they're playing at tonight.

I look over at Reid who is very close with Emi, the two of them flirting up a storm, and Leo and Evie who are in make out mode for a change. Romee gives me a small smile and stands up making her way to my side of the table. "East do you think you could take me home?"

"You're not having fun?" I question

"Look around." She sighs

"Alright, come on, let's go." I grab my keys from the table and we exit the bar together.

We both get into the car and buckle up. I start the car pulling out of my private parking.

"It sucks you know," Romee says in a sad tone

"What's that little cousin?"

"That I'm the shy one of the family, that I'm the only one that doesn't have someone."

"Have someone?"

"You know, Evie has Leo, Reid has Emi, Amara has Nate, you have any girl you want."

"I wouldn't say any girl I want, but-" I think for a moment "Wait, what do you mean Amara has Nate?"

"Oh, did I say that?" she turns looking out the window

"Yes Romee, you did."

"I didn't mean it." she shrugs "Anyway, it sucks that I don't have anyone." she sighs

"Romee, you're smart and you're beautiful and you're kind, you don't need someone in your life to make you feel that, you that that right?"

"Maybe." she shrugs "I just, I wish, never mind." she looks down sadly

We pull up out the front of Charlie and Zay's place and I turn the car off. "You have no reason to be sad Romee, someone perfect is waiting for you, you'll see."

"You think?"

"Of course." I nod with a smile

"Thanks." She smiles softly and gives me a hug "I'll see you later." She exits the car.

Oh Romee, she lacks so much confidence and for no reason at all, she clearly has no idea how wonderful she is.

Not feeling the club scene anymore I decided to drive home and call it a night. I have work to do tomorrow.
