Aubrey's POV:

It's been two months since Amara announced her pregnancy and after our talk, Easton has really come around to the idea of Nate and Amara being together, and he's even getting excited about the baby.

For the last two months, things have been great between Easton and I. We don't have a title on what we are, but I get the feeling he doesn't do titles. We sleep in the same bed every night, and we're still extremely sexually active since our first encounter, we go out for dinners and do things together so in my mind essentially we're together without being together, in Easton's mind, I couldn't tell you.

"Morning Sweetheart." Easton smiles as he makes his way downstairs.

"Good morning." I smile back "Would you like some breakfast?"

"I'd love some, shall we go back to bed?" He smirks as he wraps his arms around me.

"Stop that." I roll my eyes

"You weren't saying that last night." He winks

"Har har." I push him gently "I don't have time, Angie is going to be here soon."

"Oh yeah, I forgot about that, you're going shopping right?"

"Right." I nod "Coffee and shopping."

"Mmm, your two favorite things in this world." He laughs

"We're having dinner with your parents again tonight right?"

"Yes we are, and everyone is going to be there, Angie and Caleb included."

"I was thinking of buying Amara and Nate some things for the baby."

"Let me grab you some money and you can buy something from the both of us" he removes his arms from my waist and makes his way over to the safe.

"I have money East, I'll still write your name on the card." I joke

He makes his way back over and hands me a few fifty dollar notes. "Take this and buy my nephew something cute, because he is going to be cute, like his uncle." He says cockily

"He, could very well be a she." I remind as I take the cash and place it down on the bench. "And I have my own money."

"I don't want you spending your savings, and I know you must be out of money with the business being shut for two months and you not allowing me to pay you to"He air quotes "Sit at home"

"I'm fine East, you've given me everything you possibly can, I have a roof over my head, you don't let me pay for any of the food or the bills, please don't feel bad, you'll be able to re-open the business in a few weeks and everything will be back to normal."

He leans in and kisses my lips softly

"You're already too good to me," I reply, my lips still on his, as I kiss him softly once again.

Beeeeep, beeeep.

"That will be Angie."

"What time will you be home?"

"Not too late." I kiss his lips once again and head out the door.

"How's everything going?" Angie asks with a smile as we sit across from each other in the coffee shop

"Good, really good." I nod with a smile and take a sip of my coffee

"You look happy, I take it things with Easton are going well?"

"Well yes," I say softly as I place my coffee back down on the table. "It's just, I don't really know where we stand."

"How so?"

"Well we sleep in the same bed, and we act like a couple, but he's never called him his girlfriend or introduced me to anyone as his girl, I mean sometimes he refers to me as 'My girl or My Aubrey, but I don't know." I sigh softly and fiddle with my fingers "Usually this is the kind of stuff I'd talk to Claire about, she always had an answer."

"I miss her as well, so, so much," Angie says sadly in agreeance.

"There are so many times I want to call her and ask her things, tell her things, but it's not possible anymore."

"I know baby." She takes my hand "Me too, but she's still with us, she's still watching over us and helping us get through each day."

"I know." I nod "sorry, I didn't mean to be a downer."

"Oh baby." She laughs "You're not a downer. If you want my advice I think it's something you'd have to bring up with him, if you don't you'll probably never get your answer."

"What if I push him away?"

"Then you can come and live with me again." She beams with a laugh

"I, uh, I don't know Angie," I say sheepishly

"When the time is right, you'll know." She gives me a soft smile and finishes her coffee. "What shop would you like to go to first?"

"Do you mind if we go to the baby store?"

"The baby store?" She asks raising a brow "Is there something you want to tell me?" She rubs her hands together excitedly.

I give her the look, you know the you're kidding me, right? Look and laugh. "It's for Amara."

"Damn, still not a grandma." She laughs as we walk.

Angie has been doing well since the death of Claire, she is very in touch with her spiritual side, so she believes that Claire is still with us and around us all the time and that seems to be helping her cope. Whatever works for her is fine with me, of course, she still has her bad days as we all do, but she's doing okay, as Claire would want her to be.

I arrive back at Easton's house and place all my shopping bags on the kitchen counter.

"I was starting to think you were never coming home," Easton says as he makes his way down the stairs dressed in some ripped jeans and tight t-shirt.

"You know that's the second time today you've done that."

"Done what?" He questions as he reaches me and peeks in the bags

"Called this my home."

"Well, it is your home isn't it?"

"No," I laugh and shake my head. "It's your home, I just live here."

"We live here together, that means it's our home."

"Our home?" I feel my heart beating a little faster

"Do you want it to be our home?" He questions taking a step closer

"I uh," I swallow hard and stare at the ground before looking back up at him. "Yes," I say honestly.

"Me too." He kisses my nose and goes back to looking through the baby bags. "Not one thing for a boy."

"Everything is unisex, we don't know what the baby is, you can't just assume it's a boy." I laugh and take one of the onesies from the bag and hold it up. "Look how cute this is."

"Very cute." He agrees. "Please tell me this is for you?" He smirks as he pulls out a red, lace bodysuit with a choker attached.

"Give me that." I snatch it and shove it back in the bag. "Yes, it's mine."

"Don't get all shy on me now Sweetheart go and put it on" he smirks

"We don't have time, we need to get to dinner."

"That was your excuse this morning." He raises a brow "I'm starting to think you have a secret boyfriend or something." He jokes

"I don't have a boyfriend at all." I remind him "And putting up with your annoying ass is enough, I don't have any room in my life except for you, and maybe you're grandad because he's pretty cute."

"He is pretty cute, that's why I'm so good looking, I take after him." He grins

"You know, I don't think you could ever love anyone as much as you love yourself."

"Maybe you."

Shocked I stare at him for a moment, I have no idea what to say, is he trying to tell me he loves me right now? Or is this just another one of his games.

"What?" He questions looking at me

"D-Don't say things like that, don't say things you don't mean."

"When have I ever said something that I don't mean?"

"I-I should go and get dressed." I make my way upstairs in a hurry.

The drive to Shay and Lane's was rather quiet, neither of us spoke a word to each other and I can't help but think it's because of my reaction to his words in the kitchen. Deep down I know what I feel for him, I know that I've already fallen for him. Is that what he wanted? Did he want me to come right out and tell him I love him? No that would have scared him away, and truthfully I don't know if that's how he really feels or if he was caught up in a moment of lust.

Being with someone who doesn't talk about their feelings is hard.

"Did you remember the gifts?" He questions as we pull up out the front of his parents place and he parks the car in its usual spot.

"I did." I nod and reach into the back seat grabbing the bag of things. Once I have them in my hand I turn back and place my hand on the door handle, opening the door.

"Aubrey." He says softly looking over at me

"Yeah?" I turn my body back to face him, the door only slightly open

"I'm sorry about what I said before at home."

"It's okay East, I just didn't want you to say something you'd regret later."

"Can we forget about it and enjoy our night?"

"Of course." I nod and exit the car.

Easton locks the car behind us and we make our way into his family home. Everything is perfectly in place as always and I can tell Shay has just cleaned by the fresh smell in the air. It's only been a few months since knowing this family, but I feel like I know them all so well already.

"You're on time." Shay jokes as she makes her way to us and gives us both a hug

"I'm always on time, what are you talking about?" Easton jokes back as he gives her a hug

"Dinner isn't ready yet but everyone else is in the living room." she smiles and makes her way back behind the kitchen island bench

Easton makes his way into the living room but I stay with Shay for a moment longer. "Would you like any help with the food?"

"No, I'm fine, I'm waiting for it to cook that's all that's left to do, it should be ready in about half an hour."

I notice the pile of dishes and bite down on my bottom lip softly. "Do you want me to do the dishes? I don't mind."

"Sweetheart." Shay laughs as she shakes her head "Don't worry about a thing, just go and join Easton and the others in the living room."

"Okay." I return her smile and turn making my way into the living room

"Aubrey." She calls after me, and I turn back around to face her. "Thank you for always asking if I need help and offering to help me clean up every time you're here, you're a real sweetheart and I'm so glad my son met you."

"Oh." I tuck my hair behind my ear, my cheeks heating up slightly "It's just something my mother always taught me to do." I give her a soft smile and make my way into the living room.

"Aubrey!" Amara jumps up from the couch and throws her arms around me. "I can't believe you got us all this stuff."

I rerun the hug with a smile before pulling back. "You're welcome."

"Alright now you're here I can look properly." She grins and sits down on the couch placing the bag on her lap.

I give Lane a hug and say hello to him, then give Nate a hug and sit down in between Easton and Amara. One by one she begins to pull everything out of the bag and every single thing she pulls out she's excited about, and in the most genuine way possible.

"Aubrey, I can't believe you got us all this." She says once again as she looks at everything. "Thank you so much." A tear slides down her cheek

"Aw don't cry." I smile "honestly it's nothing, and it's from Easton as well, not just me."

"Really?" She asks a little surprised looking at Easton

"What I can't be excited about my nephew?"

"Or niece," I remind for the millionth time

"Or niece." He huffs softly with a grin "you're lucky Aubrey did the shopping and not me, I'd of bought all boy things, right Sweetheart?" he places his hand on my leg naturally with a grin

"Right." I laugh and place my hand on his has, holding his hand "he's been going on about this baby being a boy for weeks."

"We'll be finding out soon and we'll be able to put your minds at rest." Nate laughs. "But really thanks so much, both of you." He smiles and wraps his arm around Amara kissing her forehead

"Dinners ready." Shay announces and she makes her way into the living room.

Dinner was lovely as always. You can never go wrong with a home-cooked meal at the Raven house.

Once dinner is over I help Shay clear the table and stack the dishwasher. Then we make our way back to the dinner table and sit down for dessert.

"I was thinking, why don't you all come to our place for dinner next weekend?" Easton asks

"Our place?" Lane raises a brow looking between us

"Yes, our place, I asked Aubrey to move in with me officially."

"Wait." Amara says excitedly "Does this mean you two are together?"

"I mean, I haven't officially asked, but seeing as her things are in my bedroom, I'd like to think so." He takes my hand under the table.
