"Okay, just keep stirring and adding things until it's done. Then boil the pasta." Kat instructed, Matty tried to follow as best he could but he couldn't concentrate. She held his face with one of her hands, noticing he was acting weird.

"Are you high? What's wrong with you?" She accused, he felt a strong need to kiss her but he knew he shouldn't.

"I'm just nervous." He pulled his face away from her grasp. "So just add and stir. Then boil?" He repeated, she nodded.

"She'll love that you even tried to cook so either way, you're endgame." She winked, he frowned. Alice was innocent, she wouldn't do anything like that just yet.

"She's not going to sleep with me." He pointed out, she shook her head.

"Of course not, she's not me." She laughed but he didn't find it funny. He wrapped an arm around her and kissed her head.

"You're the best." He squeezed her then brought his lips to her ear "in every way." He whispered, she hit his chest.

"Don't you forget it." She continued to stir the pasta as the others came down. They were all going to a club for the night so Matty could have the house for him and Alice.

"Kat, we're leaving!" George yelled. Kat kissed Matty's cheek and turned away, he couldn't help himself, he pulled her back and gave her a kiss on the lips. She just giggled as she walked towards the door.

"Have a nice night." She called before jumping at George for a piggy back.

Half an hour later, the pasta was boiling and Matty was on his phone, watching everyone's Instagram stories at the club. He kinda wished he was there until the doorbell rang and he realised what he was doing instead.

"Hi" he had a cheeky grin on his face as he pulled her in for a hug. She was wearing a loose pink blouse with a denim skirt, she looked cute.

"Smells good in here." She complimented as she followed him to the kitchen.

"I am cooking." He slid across the floor and held his arms out to the pasta and the sauce.

"Ah, pasta. Very nice." She grinned, he wrapped an arm around her and kissed her gently. The barrier was down between them, neither of them knew when it had happened but they were so comfortable around each other now.

"You do like pasta, don't you?" He asked, she grinned and nodded before picking up the stirring spoon and tasting the sauce.

"Hmm, needs some salt." She smirked, he pushed her out of the way.

"Hey! Get out of my kitchen!" He laughed, she shrugged and went to sit down at the table.

Kat was jumping up and down with Tammy. She shook her head in time with the music just as George passed her another shot.

"Woo!" She screamed, downing the shot and jumping that little bit higher. The music raced through her, she couldn't stop smiling but she still wished Matty were there with her.

She pushed him out of her thoughts, taking another shot that the boys were just pouring down her at this point. They all loved the way she danced, she was so fun when she was drunk.

Tammy wrapped her arms around her and kissed her head before jumping with her. They both screamed the lyrics to the chart song as they danced in the crowded room.

"Aren't you tired?" George asked Kat, laughing wildly at her. She wrapped her arms around him and shook her head.

"I'm never tired." She yelled in his ear before letting him go and spinning round so hard she became dizzy.

Matty and Alice were now having dessert on the sofa, he had just bought Ben and Jerry's because making dessert as well as dinner was too much effort. They both sat cross legged with a bowl on their lap.

"That song I wrote, that I showed you the other day was about religion" Matty confessed, Alice raised her eyebrows.

"Oh yeah?" She put the spoon in her mouth and Matty was suddenly hit with memories of eating ice cream with Kat. He was coincidentally now not hungry for ice cream.

"Are you religious?." He asked as he put the bowl down. She scooted closer to him and put one leg down so her thigh was exposed.

"I believe in God, but I don't actively partake in religious activities such as going to church. I pray sometimes." She explained, he squinted his eyes and nodded. "What about you?" She asked.

"I've always had this kind of, is it a God complex? This innate knowledge that I wasn't destined to be with somebody from the same proximity. I don't know whether that's god though?" He expressed to the air before turning back to Alice, who looked lost.

"That's...an interesting idea." She didn't understand but he didn't care, no one really understood when he rambled like that.

"It's stupid, I'm an atheist but trust me, I want faith." He explained, she nodded.

"But just because you want it doesn't mean you can have it." She concluded, he nodded. "I don't mind. I'm not a bible pusher or anything." She laughed. Matty kinda wished she was, then maybe he wouldn't be so fucked up. She put down her ice cream and started playing with his curls. "Hey, this is going to sound really weird but is there anyone else in your group?" She asked innocently, he furrowed his eyebrows.

"What do you mean?" His mind was laced with Kat, he knew exactly what she meant.

"Well, I found you on Instagram..." she broke out into a grin at the thought of it. "And there was this photo of all of you, with Tammy and there was this other girl." Matty knew the photo she was talking about and knew he couldn't deny it.

"Oh, that's Kat. She's Tammy's best friend so naturally she's ours too." He shrugged, Alice nodded.

"Are you guys close?" She asked, wondering if she had been the friend who had introduced Tammy to the group and why he had never mentioned her before.

"I'd say we're good friends" he shrugged as if it were nothing. He sighed when she didn't say anything. "She means a lot to me, she's helped me through some tough times but friends is all it is."

Alice studied his answer but figured if he had feelings for Kat then why would he pursue her? She just let it go, believed him and smiled.

"Okay." She smiled, he smiled back. "I'd like to meet her." His smile grew as he placed his hand on her bare thigh.

"I'd like that." He smirked before leaning in. She allowed him to kiss her, his kisses were the reason she got up in the morning.

Kat had her arms wrapped around some other guy, George kept one eye on her just in case but she seemed to be having fun.

This guy was blonde with blue eyes, his hair was straight and kinda shaggy looking as if he had just woken up. He was built, his muscles bulged as they danced. She danced with him as if she was dancing with Matty.

Matty was now on top of Alice, his hand was in between her legs as they made out. He rubbed her thigh as he started to kiss her neck, she let out a sigh but it didn't turn him on like he expected.

Kat attached her lips to this guy, he responded by shoving his tongue down her throat. She almost choked, she kissed back as best she could without being engulfed by him.

Alice pulled Matty closer, he smelled so good and tasted like ice cream. His tongue swerved around her mouth as his hand travelled further up. She turned her head and he assumed she wanted him to kiss her neck.

"We shouldn't." She breathed as his hands pushed her skirt up. He removed his hands from her and sat up.

"Okay" he smiled, out of breath. He pulled her up to a sitting position and kissed her again. "I like you, Alice." He confessed.

Kat released herself from the guy as his hands travelled up her shirt and squeezed her breast. She put her hand on his and tried to remove it, when he wouldn't budge rolled her eyes and kicked him in the balls. He groaned and bent over.

"Take a hint, asshole." She yelled before turning around and making her way back to her friends.

When the group got back to the house, it had just gone one am. Tammy was giggling as Ross gave her a piggy back and Adam could barely stand. Kat took her shoes off and leant against the wall while the others went into the living room.

"Do you think Alice is still here?" She whispered to George before giggling. He put a finger to his mouth and went upstairs to check. Kat just laughed and made her way to the kitchen. She almost jumped when she saw Matty sat at the dining room table on his phone.

"Oh, hey." She said, he looked up from his phone and gave her a cheeky smile.

"Hey, I just boiled the kettle if you wanna make tea." He told her, she nodded and got out a mug from the cupboard. "Did you have fun?" He asked as she brought her mug and the milk over to him.

"Yeah, we danced loads and drank loads then some guy tried to feel me up so I kicked him in the balls." She shrugged, stirring the liquid. Matty laughed his wheezy laugh.

"Legend." He grinned. She sipped her tea and shrugged.

"What about you? I thought Alice would still be here." She wondered, Matty shook his head and stared down at his tea that was luke warm now.

"Nah, she left about an hour ago. It's still early days, you know?" He shrugged, he would've liked Alice to still be there but then maybe he wouldn't of got this moment with Kat.

"It's good that you're taking things slow, she'll trust you easier." She advised, he passed her a small smile.

"Yeah, I guess so." He said quietly, then chuckled "blue balls is a killer though." She rolled her eyes.

"Men." She laughed then yawned. "I'm gonna crash on your sofa. See you in the morning." She waved, he held out his hand for her so she walked around the table to him.

"Go and sleep in my bed. I'll sleep on the sofa." He demanded, she was tired to argue so she just nodded. He just didn't feel like seeing her sleeping on the sofa where him and Alice were earlier. She leant down to kiss him on the cheek but he swerved and kissed her on the lips.

"You should go to sleep soon, you've got a show tomorrow." She reminded him, he nodded.

"Yeah, I'm going now." He smiled, she leant down and gave him another kiss before walking away. For some reason, his heart ached.
