I got up the next morning, and headed for breakfast alone. The guys had practice, and Scarlett had some submission or something.

I was eating my cereal, when Cassidy, with her food, sat her herself on the chair oppsite me.

"Hey," I smiled.

She seemed really nice, I don't know why everyone was acting like she was a monster or something. Mayne because she seems to be really.good friends with Michaela, I don't see how anything nice can come from that.

"What's up?" She asked, opening her bottle of juice.

Before I could say anything, she continued talking, "hey I was wondering if I can borrow your economics notes? Half the year is over, and I'm so behind,"

"Oh yeah, for sure," I said.

"Great! Can I come by after school? Dorm 188 right?" She asked.

"Uh...yeah...yeah,"

"Wait, so Michaela told me that you and Asher were together? Asher Maxwell?" She said.

"Yeah....like a year ago,"

"I just spoke to him yesterday, and I'm like so sure of it, he's still into you," she winked.

"Haha, no..things are really over...between us," I said uncomfortably.

"Really? Cause he is so cute, and I could definitely get you two together again!" She said, flashing me a huge smile.

"I'm good, thanks,"

"Oh by the way, you're nails are so pretty!" She said,

"Thank you,"

I currently had on long black acrylics, which was fun cause it sort of went with all the tattoos on my hand. I didn't like the tattoos much, they reminded me of just how drunk I was, but all in all, my hands looked pretty badass.

"Oh..thanks," I smiled.

"I don't really like acrylics though, they're not good for boxing..and they're really uncomfortable," she said.

"I agree on that," I chuckled, "wait you box?"

"At the Stag...you have been there right?" She said.

"Yeah..wow, that's pretty cool," I said.

"Well I haven't for a while....what about you, I've heard that you've done some pretty cool shit there," she said.

I sighed. "No," I chuckled. "I don't know what you've heard, but I'd suggest you don't count on that stuff," I said.

She scoffed. "Whatever...what I'm saying is, I really don't get how all these girls are always wearing so much make up, and like 6 inch heels...like first of all, who are you dressed up for, and second, aren't you uncomfortable? Like relax,"

Jesus she didn't come off as fucking stupid. And I mean, she's talking as if she isn't wearing false eye lashes and lip gloss. But don't be like that Cassidy, cmon.

"I don't think that's what it's about," I said softly.

"What'd you mean?"

"I don't think they're dressing for anyone." I said.

"Really?" She deadpanned, " I mean look at Michaela.... she practically throws herself at Aiden everytime she sees him. She's desperate as hell," she said, biting into her apple.

"Arent you guys friends or something?" I scoffed.

"Sort of...she can get annoying sometimes. I mean Scarlett is great, but like I get why you're friends with the guys," she said.

"Huh?"

"You know...Jake, Levi, Ryan...I mean, things have obviously changed, but back in...Sophomore year, Michaela used to always cause drama, so I used to just hang out with the guys," she said.

"You guys were a group?" I asked,

I found it weird that there's so many things wrong with the sentence she said, and my stupid brain decided to pick that question out of everything.

"Yeah yeah, it was Me, Scarlett, Michaela, Aiden, Ryan Jake and Levi." She said.

"Oh..that's..nice," it was also weird that I didn't know. I actually had no idea that Michaela was part of this group, it was weird..

"Hmm," she scoffed. "So Aiden, Scarlett and Jake were like practically siblings, and I was friends with Scarlett, so she sort of told me that Aiden was into me, it was super cute. But Michaela also liked him apparently, and she told me this after out first date, and she made a huge scene, saying we were supposed to be best friends. And I mean, if she just told me earlier, I wouldn't have gone out with Aiden at all you know?...okay maybe I would have, but like...she could've just said something earlier, "

"Wow.." I scoffed. The bell rang before I said anything else, and Cassidy rushed off to class.

I spent too much time later that day thinking about what she said.

Later in the evening, I remembered that Aiden and I planned to meet up for homework, and was weirdly excited idk.

It was about 5:30 in the evening, and we were sitting on the roof of our building, having coffee and trying to get some work done.

The café on campus was really crowded, so Aiden suggested we take our coffee back to the dorms, and the sky was looking really pretty, so we decided to come up here instead.

I laughed at something he had said, when his phone began to ring from beside me, so I handed it to him, noticing the name Cassidy flash across the screen.

He muted the call,

"you can...take it" I said,

He shook his head and gave me a small smile.

"You guys are close?" I asked LIKE A FUCKING IDIOT.

"Why, you jealous?" He said casually, lazily looking up from his phone.

"WHAT no? Why?!" I said, sounding fucking aggressive.

"I was kidding," he chuckled, momentarily narrowing his eyes at me, as he rested back and stretched his arms forward,

".....I know¿" I said LIKE A FUCKING IDIOT AGAIN.

why am I like this.

"Why'd you ask?" He said.

I recalled the absolute fucking weird day I'd had.

I let out a small laugh. "In class everyone seemed to think it was their life goal to tell me about you and Cassidy."

"We dated for a long time..." he said, "and then she cheated on me with my brother, so," he scoffed.

"Oh fuck, shit, sorry," I said, again, sounding.like.a.fucking.idiot.

"Wait you have a brother?"

"Yeah, he's in JF,"

"Damn....like a twin brother?"

"Uhm no," he chuckled, "same dad, different mom..but he's also in his senior year,"

"Oh.."

The door of the terrace burst open, and Levi walked out.
"Aiden, football," he said.

"Now?"

Levi nodded.

"Damn...I'll see you later?" Aiden said.

I smiled, and he got up and left.

I ended up sitting there and drawing for more than an hour after he left, which was actually really nice.

After I kept my things back in my room, I headed for dinner with Scarlett.

"You guys are done already?" I asked, sitting at our table, when Jacob, from beside me enthusiastically hugged me,

"Ew Jake you're sweaty," I cribbed.

"I am," he chuckled.

"How was practice?" Scarlett asked.

"Fine, Baker's being a bitch though, he's all stressed for our game on Saturday," Jacob said.

Dinner was fine, nothing much happened. Jacob was super scared about the football match on Saturday, which was wierd, because he was usually annoyingly cocky.

Aiden and I didn't really get a chance to talk, which I was thankful for, because if he asked me any questions about Asher, I would most definitely not be able to answer, which would be both unfair to him, and very likely make him more curious.
